Most Helpful Positive Review I am impressed with the results with my hair I used this hair dryer for the first time this morning. I have very long hair that takes very long to dry. Lava dried my hair in half the time. My hair also looked and felt fuller more voluminous then with my other hair dryer that fried my hair with the excessive heat it produced. The one draw back was the attachments lock in place which is nice in the fact with long term use they warp with due to the heat however you are locked into that position with no variation when styling. Either way I was happy with the results this morning. A bit pricey but I needed a smaller dryer for my make-up space and the noise is so much better.
additional note: They had a recall with this product a year ago. I contacted CHI head office to see if the model I was purchasing was the newer model and they confirmed that it was and that the recall issue had been fixed.
Most Helpful Critical Review Hate the shape, attachments are useless I really don't like the design. At first glance it's a lightweight and semi-quiet hair dryer. It's compact which makes it convenient for travel or small living spaces.
However, the attachments go on upright which forces you to hold your arm at an odd and frankly uncomfortable angle to get any sort of smoothness. The switch is extremely hard to use and often takes me a couple tries which can be good or bad depending on how often you accidentally turn off or on your hair dryer.
If you're not trying to use it on yourself, want to hold your arm sideways, or break your wrist using it, go for it I guess.
The cord is nice an long, very flexible so your dryer doesn't fly off the counter.

I bought this to replace my wife's incredibly noisy old compact dryer on Christmas Eve. Well here we are on January 6th and it stopped working while she was using it. The outlet is fine, the reset button pressed, nothing. So she plugged in her 15 year old hair dryer and finished drying her hair with that. Will be returning ASAP. Way too expensive for this nonsense.
I would purchase this item again 4

This product comes very recommended for people with natural curly hair. Reduces frizz leaves hair shiny! Does take longer to dryer hair but I use the low setting to reduce frizz. The diffuser works great as well, has many air holes to flow air and heat evenly! If you have natural curly, thick hair it works great!
Wouldn't by this product 1

I have a short hair pixie cut. This dryer did not get hi t enough to dry my hair, after ten minutes, my hair was nowhere near dry, should of been done with it. I had to get an emergency dryer to finish my hair.
Returned it the next day.
Excellent Product 5

Best hair dryer I've owned. It pretty quiet, and easy to use. Would highly recommend!
So much better! 5

I have to shower almost every day because I frequent my local gym and this blow dryer fits so nicely in my gym bag. I have so much more room now! Another great thing about this is it is so quiet compared to my older, outdated blow dryer. I don't feel obnoxious while drying my hair in the locker room now.
Great - but Caution for Long Hair!! 4
Sydney from SC
I tried this because I have long, curly hair. The diffuser is great for curly hair, and the frizz was minimal. However, if you have long hair, it will get caught. Be extra careful because the dryer is so short that it sucked my hair into the motor multiple times. You have to be extra cautious with this!!
No power not even hot enough 3
Aliya K from Texas
I had it for myself and my husband. He has short hair and still doesn't like it.
It doesn't have enough power and it is not even hot enough for men. I returned it.
Great temperature control. 5

I have naturally thick, frizzy hair. This hairdryer absolutely tames the frizziness. I was reluctant to buy a hair dryer that costs so much but I'm sooooo glad I did. I love it
Not enough power and it's heavy 1
Brenna from Rochester New York
I bought this thinking it would be similar to the dyson but it isn't. It isn't powerful enough to use in a salon. It's to heavy in general which makes it hard cause it takes a long time to do the hair cause there is now power. The stuff it came with like the concentrater and diffuser would fall off all the time they didn't have a good lock. I only used it for 2 months and then returned it because it was awful.
I would buy it again. 5

You don't feel the heat on you scalp. It is heavy for me.

Perfect! 5

I have a hard time handling hair dryers as they are bulky and heavy so I usually use a travel dryer which as you can guess, takes forever to dry. This is perfect for someone like me who has a hard time with hair dryers. It smaller like a travel size but "packs the heat" of a full sized hair dryer and the comb attachment is my new best friend! I would recommend.

Overall it is good.
Heat settings all the same 1
Britt from Alabama
All the heat settings are the same- HOT! And you can't adjust the airflow. There are three settings and that's it. It's also been recalled.
Dries my hair so quick!! 5

The blow dryer dries my hair without frying my hair! It's also really small and travel friendly
