L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss is an innovative lip lacquer that combines the comfort and shine of a gloss, the pigment of a lipstick and the lasting power of a stain. Lancôme's innovative oil in water emulsion is lightweight and non-sticky, providing up to 6H of wear. Enriched with glycerin, lips feel hydrated throughout the day. The high shine finish and vivid color payoff are buildable from sheer to full coverage in 1-2-3 coats.

Based on a consumer panel test:
  • 95% of women said product has a thin texture
  • 86% of women said product has a lightweight texture
  • 86% of women said product felt comfortable to wear
  • 78% of women said the color has a good wear
  • 76% of women said it does not smudge
Apply directly to lips and build color and shine by layering coats of Lacquer. Use with lip liner and/or lipstick to further define and add dimension to your look.

Pro Tip: Have fun mixing and matching Lancôme's wide shade range. Pick a light and a dark shade from the same color family. Swipe the dark shade over 3/4 of both top and bottom lips from left to right. Take the lighter shade and starting in center of lips, swipe right to cover remaining portion of lips to create an ombre effect. After swiping your favorite shade over entire lips, take the gold shade and apply just to center of top and bottom lips for a pop of metallic highlighting.

For a more defined look, use Le Lipstique Lip Liner to outline lips. L'Absolu Lacquer can also be layered over L'Absolu Rouge lipstick for a bold, deeply pigmented look.

Glossy *and* long lasting? It's a miracle!

By RG

from AL

Comments about Lancôme L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss:

I got a deluxe sample as a gwp, and was so floored by how amazing this stuff is that I immediately ordered four shades. I will be overhauling my lipsticks and these will play a very prominent role in my new, smaller collection. It feels like water going on, and almost seems so insubstantial that you're thinking there's *no way* this could ever last. Boy oh boy, you'd be wrong! The shine and color last for hours; I practically live with a soda in one hand, and where I normally have to touch up my lipstick every couple of hours, it took about 6 hours before I could tell this had faded...and even that was just a small loss of shininess in the middle of my lips. At 10+ hours, this stuff was still going strong! My lips are also quite dry; matte anything, whether liquid or bullet, drives me bonkers and makes me want to scrub my lips within 2-3 hours of application. Even some creams and softer formulas bother me after a short few hours, and I'm reaching for gloss or balm to soften them back up. That's totally not an issue with this product. I had never imagined in my life that I'd be able to find the perfect blend of color, gloss, comfort, and staying power, but Lancome did a stellar job with this formula. I've never encountered anything like it, and I am loving it!

Don't buy it

By Gina

Comments about Lancôme L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss:

I tried it on at the store. It def felt sticky, but the color was really pretty. When I actually purchased it and tried it on, it put a light coat on and an hour or so later, it started to clump and looked cracked because it's so sticky. It only looked good if you didn't put your lips together. Will be returning it.

Incredible staying power & color!

By Beautylovingmama

from California

Comments about Lancôme L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss:

Wow this is the most unique formula. Its hard to explain, its slick at first (was thinking it wasn't going to stay on or have much color), but it sets to a beautiful pinky beige color with a little bit of gloss to it (its a tiny bit sticky but it doesn't bother me) - and the staying power is the best I have ever tried. I brushed my teeth at night and forgot it was on before bed; fell asleep with it on and woke up to my husband and daughter commenting wow you look pretty, you put lipgloss on this morning!? It also makes my lips seem plumper than any marketed plumping formula i have tried and I've tried many (I don't even think its supposed to do that but it does)! LOVE this gloss. Going to try the First Date color next!

Best Lip Formula Out There

By Liz

from Provo, Utah

Comments about Lancôme L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss:

One layer blended in for a light stain. One full layer for a soft wash of color. Two layers for full pigment. It's perfectly even, stunning color, that is SO comfortable on the lips! Very thin gloss-like formula that feels smooth and balm-like instead of sticky. It lasts for many hours without needing a touch-up. I loved it so much I bought 2 more shades and am about to buy a third. I never buy high end lip products so that's really saying something!

OMG!!!

By Malia G

from Austin, Tx

Comments about Lancôme L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss:

So. At first I hated how this felt, BUT I wore it a few times and it stopped bothering me. It's not uncomfortable. It's just a bit tacky, which is totally worth it for the lasting power. I wore this and sang a 4 hour show, drank tons of water, ate soup, and even kissed my man and it was STILL on and even! Amazing.

So soft!

By mikayla

from Kentucky

Comments about Lancôme L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss:

I have really dry lips and don't like to wear lip products because they always dry my lips out even more. I tried this on in store and it felt super soft on both my hand and my lips. It eventually (after a long time) comes off but the color still stays on your lips so it doesn't come all the way off before you have to reapply.

Comments about Lancôme L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss:

I bought this in the shade 202, and while it's a pretty pinky-nude color, the formula is horrible. Looks pretty only if you don't move your lips. If you press or rub your lips together at all, it pushes the product around and it gathers in a line along the center of your lip. It's like it sticks to itself but not your lip, it almost balls up. Not cute. It caused a tingling sensation on the tip of my tongue even though I didn't lick my lips. I don't know if that reaction was due to the fragrance but it does have a perfumey fragrance. I returned it.
