I never ever ever leave reviews...

    By Kim E.

    from Mississippi

Comments about Dermadoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Formulated AHA Moisturizing Therapy For Dry Skin:

But this product deserves 5 stars. I'm fair skin, sensitive to most products (masks, peels, etc), and I have had KP on the backs of my arms for as long as I can remember. I've never found anything that clears it up, or even helps much, including multiple different prescriptions for dermatologists. I tried this product and immediately felt a difference in the smoothness of my skin, but within 5 weeks my arms were almost completely cleared up (using 2x/daily + using the KP Duty scrub 2-3x/wk) And they've stayed that way. A year after purchasing, I can now use the product a few times a week to maintain my clear skin. SO pleased, SO happy I can show my arms off in sleeveless tops now and I'm not constantly picking on the little bumps anymore.

Thank you Dermadoctor for creating such a wonderful product! < 3

I've been using this for a few days now and my skin feels really smooth and moisturized. You will definitely see results in a week maybe sooner if you use it twice a day. I use it after a shower to trap in extra moisture. The smell isn't so great but its not strong. I gave it 4 stars because I wish it was cheaper at least $28. Haven't used it long enough to see it lighten dark marks.

Comments about Dermadoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Formulated AHA Moisturizing Therapy For Dry Skin:

I absolutely love this product. I stumbled across it in a sample bag and have been addicted ever since. I have really weird skin on my face. Parts of it are super oily, while other parts are so dry that my skin is constantly flaking off. This product works like a dream. I know it is just supposed to be a lotion but I totally use it as my facial moisturizer. I'm also a red-head so I burn after about 2.5 minutes in the sun. If I don't have an aloe plant nearby, this moisturizer is the next best thing. Gets rid of my burn quicker than any other product I've used. I cannot say enough good things about this product.

I have dry/very sensitive skin and psoriasis. This works great on my skin. Non- greasy and no bad odors. I have always had a hard time finding lotion that actually moisturizes my skin without being greasy and smelling bad. This lotion is a bit pricey but so worth it.

I tan regularly to help with my psoriasis. I know a lot of medicated lotions and ointments advise to avoid UVA/UVB light while using the product. Is this product alright to use if you're a regular tanner?

                A:

This product contains AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) to help exfoliate and improve the appearance of KP. AHAs can make skin more prone to sunburn, so we do not recommend using this if you tan regularly without SPF.

                A:

Any AHA or BHA product will increase the possibility of a sunburn (exfoliating takes off the outer layer of dead skin cells, which naturally protect the skin from UVA and UVBs). We recommend using an SPF of at least 30 when using this moisturizer to prevent sunburns and sun damage.

None of the ingredients in this formula are known to transfer during breastfeeding. If you'd like to review with your doctor, all of our ingredients are listed on the product pages of the Ulta Beauty website.

In order for this to work do I have to use it in conjunction with the scrub or can I just use the lotion alone?

              • Brand Expert

                A:

You can use this lotion by itself - it contains AHAs that will help exfoliate dry skin. If you still feel like you have excess dry skin after a couple of weeks of using this product, then add in a body scrub.

                A:

KP Duty Moisturizing Therapy is recommended for use only on the body (arms, legs, hands, feet), so we wouldn't advise using it on the face. Any exfoliating products with AHAs that are formulated for the face would be a good alternative - make sure to follow-up with a good moisturizer!

                A:

To treat facial KP, we would suggest the Wrinkle Revenge Antioxidant Enhanced Glycolic Acid Facial Cleanser (Item #: 2295099) since it is a glycolic-based cleanser for twice daily use, as well as the Physical Chemistry Facial Microdermabrasion + Multiacid Chemical Peel (Item #: 2161566) several times a week. It is similar in formulation to the KP Duty Body Scrub but with much smaller scrub particles safer for use on sensitive facial skin. These products should help keep pores and follicles clear, minimizing KP reoccurrences. We hope this helps! :-)

Yes, KP Duty helps with KP on all areas of the body. We generally say to give the products 4-6 weeks to see visible improvement with consistent use.
