How to Use
Rated 4.32 out of 5 stars
At first I was really confused about how to use this product. I had to look up a review because eventually I found out what to do but then nothing was happening. Turns out I needed to keep twisting the top. It took awhile. Anyway, after fussing with the application, I smelled it right away and really loved how it smelled. It smells sweet like vanilla and tastes great too. The color is super cute and leaves my lips soft and moisturized. It hardly transfers too. The only reason why I didn't give it five starts was because of the application method. Instructions should be given for this honestly. However, I still recommend this!
I am writing my first ever review on this site because when I was standing at the store I came to this page to see if I should spend the money on this new applicator. TL;DR: skip this one and try another Revlon product.
Here is why I am throwing it out after only a few uses: It took so long to get the lip stain to penetrate the cushion that I thought the product was broken. Eventually (after over 20 clicks on the dial) the sponge got color on it. The experience of rubbing this sponge on my lips was very off-putting. Felt like wiping a napkin on my lips - nothing silky. I've used the product five times now and each time I want to use it I have to click the product three to five dials just to saturate the sponge with product again. The Actual application also lacks definition because of how wide the applicator is. I really see no benefit to using this product. Revlon has much, much better experiences.

First: yes, it was tricky to figure out how to get the product out. You have to turn the top ring clockwise and make it click many, many times before the color starts to push out. You don't have to press it hard on your lips which is what I mistakenly tried, haha!
It's hard to tell what the colors are really like based on the online photos. Even some reviews don't say the color name so I hope this one helps you out.
I chose Naughty Mauve (230) and I have a very fair, cool toned complexion. This turned out to be a great color for me! Online the swatch looks more pink than I would say it really is. The plastic tube looks a more saturated purple/pink than the product inside, which is actually more neutral like I wanted it to be. You can layer it to a point, but it seems like it will not usually be super dark or opaque. That's okay for me though. It is meant to be more sheer, I think.
The texture is smooth and not sticky, and it has a light, sweet vanilla-like fragrance. It feels lightly moisturizing. When you first put it on it will transfer to things, but it seems like it kind of sinks in and stains the lips nicely after a few minutes. I haven't noticed it making my lips dry even after it settles in.
I think that this tube will last a long time for me, so the price is worthwhile. I don't know how the other colors look in person but Naughty Mauve seems like a good sort of natural color. I imagine it would look beautiful on darker skin tones as well. On another note, my go-to lipsticks are usually the Covergirl Outlast All Day liquid lipsticks because I don't like transfer. Compared to those, this product is not as thick and drying.

This is very moisturizing and the color, being a tint, looks very natural. It acts like a balm with a bit of color, it's easy to apply and leaves my lips smooth and conditioned.

Dried my lips out, will be returning. Thought I was going to love it.

Love this lip product! It is genius with this precious cushion tip. It goes on the lips so smoothly I was a little shocked at how great it was. The applicator sponge is soft and makes it so easy to apply to where you can add more and build more color if you choose to do so. I bought the wine tip color since my fav lip colors have always been plum colors - for reference, I dye my hair blue/black and have dark blue gray eyes.

There's a light balm feel which makes the lips feel good but the color is a pain to get on. I get more color pressing the tip down on a tissue than when I do that on my lips. I would return this if there were an Ulta closer to me.

I'm fairly new to lip products, but I loved these so much, I ended up buying every color! You can apply them lightly for a hint of color, or build it up for something more bold. They feel nice on the lips. Kind of slick, but not sticky. They stain the lips, so even if some color comes off, there is still some color. I was kind of scared of the bolder colors before getting them, but even the bright pink is wearable (and I just don't like pink in general normally). I would love for them to come out with more colors, as I love ALL of these.

I was hoping the color wasn't too drastic. It was a nice subtle color. Looks natural on me and is super moisturizing, it doesn't feel drying. Color lasts a while, even under a mask!

I wear this tint under my mask. I love it! it stays on my lips, it feels super soft. I just love it..

This is so different from anything I've used before that it took me a bit to decide how I felt. I bought the color Fancy Rose, and tried it out before bed to see if it would last all night, and it did! My lips had a subtle tint to them and were nice and moisturized with no help from anything else! I've found the color very easy to layer, and you can get anything from a very sheer tint to actually a rather dark color. This even lasted through swimming! It never spreads or leaks past my lips as I've had a couple glosses and lip oils do before, and it never peels off or gets patchy like some matte lipsticks. (I have chapped lips.) It fades very slightly over time, but uniformly. It stays where I put it until I remove it with a makeup remover. I may try some of the other shades sometime!

This tint its perfect if you don't like it the lipstick, stayed with you at least 6 hours and taste delicious, I don't know if this can eat it.

The shade pretty kiss is really not even the slightest bit noticeable. I can barely tell I'm getting anything out of this if it wasn't for the sponge turning colors. Not impressed would not purchase for full price or on sale.

Love this product!! I hate the feeling of thick lipstick but love to have a little bit of color on my lips. This stuff is super thin and light, feels like you're not even wearing anything! Plus, it wears off evenly throughout the day (no weird crumbling or mouth ring) !

The components are the color of the tint inside, which is nice. The product is applied via a sponge applicator. To dispense the product, you twist the top until you see the color coming through the sponge. I have tried 3 different shades of these. I had to twist them many times to get the product out. As a result, it was easy to overdo it and dispense too much.
They do sort of "dry down", though some shades not completely, and some shades take longer than others. One coat is quite sheer, but if you get a shade that dries quickly, it is easy to build color and they do layer well. The formula is weightless and leaves no texture, much like a true stain. The shade Fancy Rose in particular turned straight brown after a couple of weeks, not sure why. Be sure to shake the tubes before use to ensure the product isnt separated inside. Because the tubes are opaque, you cant see the actual product. The applicator is also quite large for a lip product, and is rounded, therefore not very precise. These are great for that "bitten lip" look.

I wanted to love these because I wanted something quick for every day. While the 2 colors I bought were nice shades, the application was really patchy. I'm not sure if the foam applicator has much to do with it, but the formula is also sheer but thin and not moisturizing, so it emphasized all the dry patches on my lips. If you're fine with throwing on a lipgloss over top to cover up the patchiness and dryness, you might like it. But for use on its own to just throw on, it didn't work for me.

I have the REVLON cushion lip tint in every bag, desk drawer, and car that I own. The color is fantastic, it doesn't dry out my lips, and I never have to worry about getting that weird line around my lips where it looks like I'm only wearing lip liner and forgot my lipstick.
Gina from Twin Falls, Idaho
I have no idea if I even like the color, because I can't get the color to come out. I am very dissatisfied..
Flowers from Texas
This is so disappointing.
The color clumps up and rolls on my lips. The deposit is uneven. I ordered multiple colors so it's consistently inconsistent.

Several years ago I bought a similar product sold as "just bitten". That product offered good color that had staying power. The only drawback was that it was drying to the lips. I've been searching for it and thought I'd found it, but this isn't the same. The drying problem has been solved with this product as it seems to have oil in it, but there is very little color, so what's the point of wearing it?
Huotaria from WI
I put it on when I'm heading out, but I don't use it if I'm going to be eating or drinking cuz it comes off.
OK Immie from OKC, OK
I was never able to get the color to flow for application and the tip broke off inside the sponge applicator.
Honey from GEORGIA
I use this product when I go out every day
Gabby from New York, NY
I love this product because its exactly what I expected! I was looking for glossier's red gloss, but realized that I loved how that gloss lightly tinted my lips! This product does exactly that, and if you layer it on, you can get more of a bold lip! Very versatile, and feels great on my lips.
