How to Use

Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Brush teeth thoroughly, preferably after each meal or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentist or physician. Children 2 to 6 years: Use only a pea sized amount and supervise child's brushing and rinsing (to minimize swallowing). Children under 2 years of age: Ask a dentist or a physician.

Keep out of reach of children. If more than used for rinsing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.

Last month, we started using this toothpaste. I've never used Hello dental products before. I checked out their website and was happy to see that their toothpastes, as well as the Unicorn Kids Toothpaste, are SLS free (sodium lauryth sulfate free). I, myself, have always had issues with toothpaste that contain SLS as it irritated my mouth. So, I'm glad to see more toothpastes without this ingredient in it. I see that Hello's other dental products have the ADA approval and have no doubt that this toothpaste will, too. I remember the day that I received the toothpaste and the packaging was simple, yet colorful and, of course, recyclable (win!). I showed it to my daughter (4 years old) and she was really excited to use this toothpaste. When I opened up the toothpaste itself and showed her how sparkly it was (I also let her smell it), she was doubly excited. We've been using this toothpaste daily and she asks for me to brush her teeth with it everyday. So, all in all, I would say that using this toothpaste has been a success for us. The gentle flavor and the sparkles make for a clean, happy mouth for my little one. We're so glad we were given the opportunity to try out this toothpaste and will buy it in the future.Most Helpful Critical ReviewMy child didn't like it.Ultimately this toothpaste has just not worked for us. We currently use a different brand that is fruit-flavored is known for being more natural. She much prefers her current toothpaste this one. We've tried to get her to use it a few repeat times and she just refuses. We tried it and it has a salty taste and grainy texture that is very off-putting. Also, we're just not fans of bubblegum flavored toothpaste which is obviously catering to a kid's flavor palette. The packaging was nice and the toothpaste tube was especially cute with its rainbow gradient design. I thought maybe that would get my kid to like it since she likes rainbows, but no. The toothpaste itself is clear-ish with a lot of glitter, so it's kind of fun and sparkly, but not bubblegum pink like I was expecting. Bottom line, since my kid refuses to use it, it won't work for us since obviously, it needs to go in her mouth and not ours. I can't tell what the "sparkles" are but it appears they are tiny bubbles and not actual sparkles (my child thought they were brushing their teeth with sparkles and that when smiling they would have sparkly teeth hahaha).
