Comments about Dermadoctor Kakadu C Intensive Vitamin C Peel Pad with Ferulic Acid & Vitamin E:

After using these pads I broke out few days later, like 4-5 separate times! I thought surely it was another product, but sadly I eliminated everything else.
I do NOT have sensitive skin, on the oily side for sure so I have no idea what did it. Had to return!

First Impression: I received a sample of this and was pleasantly surprised by how gentle this is on the skin! The pad itself is very soft and non-abrasive. Also moist enough to cover the whole face and down to the neck. I did not have any tingling sensations and my skin had a nice glow afterwards!

This product works like magic! When I saw this on ULTAs 50% off promotion I checked out the reviews and decided to order it. I have been having skin issues the last 2 months and after using this for 4 days my skin is almost all clear! My only problem now is the regular price :( I don't know how often I'll actually buy this because of the cost but it is amazing! I also read a review about cutting the pad in half and that works great and they will last longer :)

          Great

          By Kim

Comments about Dermadoctor Kakadu C Intensive Vitamin C Peel Pad with Ferulic Acid & Vitamin E:

I first used this when I had dry peeling skin due to pregnancy and needed to prep for my wedding. Stopped because I was pregnant and wedding was over. It transformed my skin. Now a year postpartum, my skin went back to its SUPER oily self and I broke out every day and had really bad acne scarring. Bought this during 21 days of beauty sale, cut it into fours (because my face is so small) and left it on (I don't wash it off like it says). After one week of using it every morning (not in the night because I produce too much oil), I no longer break out and my scars (even texture) have disappeared. I could go out with no makeup. It also controls my oily face throughout the day. Highly recommend if you want fast results..worked for me when I had super dry skin and super oily skin. I'm Asian with medium skin tone.

          This product is amazing

Comments about Dermadoctor Kakadu C Intensive Vitamin C Peel Pad with Ferulic Acid & Vitamin E:

I read the reviews and got this in a sampler kit. I cut the pad in half to prolong use. it works fine. I made a big mistake and did a quick exfoliation with microderm paste before applying this the first time. Holy cow it stung so badly and my face turned bright red. I rinsed after a few minutes as instructed.

The second time I used it, I became distracted by my toddler and forgot to wash it off before bedtime. I woke up and for the next several days my face was the softest it has ever been in my life. Actually, it was as soft as a baby's face. I kept getting myself intermittently throughout the days and was constantly amazed.

I am 34 and starting to really see the deeper mouth lines and lines around my eyes and forehead. I really appreciate how nicely I can apply foundation after the overnight application. I haven't used it on the daily, however. If I splurged to buy the 30-pc box, you could easily cut the pads in half and use every third night to really stretch that out a few months. I really think a splurge like that would be worth it.

Comments about Dermadoctor Kakadu C Intensive Vitamin C Peel Pad with Ferulic Acid & Vitamin E:

I have been using this product twice a week now for about two weeks, and so far have been loving this product. I have oily acne prone skin, and currently am fighting acne scars. This product has really minimized the look of my pores and scars! I love how easy this product is to use, and I actually cut the pad in half and use one side for that current night and the other half the next day. A way to save some money, because this is quite pricy.

Seems gentle on my sensitive skin,,so for me,,that's a plus. Have only been using it for a couple of weeks so its hard to see any difference just yet. Perhaps its more like a "toner with a kick". But it does not dry out my skin and it also does not irritate.

Comments about Dermadoctor Kakadu C Intensive Vitamin C Peel Pad with Ferulic Acid & Vitamin E:

From other reviews, it seems like this product is great for anti-aging purposes, but as far as discoloration or textured skin it was a failure. Used the whole box and noticed absolutely no difference in my skin, however, I am in my early 20's and have no signs on aging, just acne, acne scars, and textured skin. It didn't do anything for any of those issues.

What is the difference between these pads and your Kakadu Vitamin 20% serum? Debating which one to buy. Is the serum the same solution that's on the pad? Should I use these pads in conjunction w/ the serum?

                A:

The main difference is that these pads contain a blend of AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) that exfoliate while delivering Vitamin C and are meant to be washed off after 2-3 minutes after applying. The serum does not contain AHAs and is meant to be worn during the daytime with SPF.

                A:

The peel pads contain the same Vitamin C + Ferulic Acid and E complex, but their primary function is exfoliation with multiple AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids). If you're looking for resurfacing + Vitamin C treatment, I would go with the peel pads. If you're just looking for a high potency Vitamin C serum booster, I would go with the serum.

            • Q:

Ok so this may sound like a stupid question but this is my 1st purchase of this type of product so I am not sure how to use. Yes, I read instructions: Apply to skin-leave on 3-5min. Am I just wiping my face w/the pad, which will be enough to work its wonders? Then rinse after allotted time? Since they are called "peel pads" I was assuming I peel+apply. But after opening+seeing they are small(approx 3.5x2.5)/square +have no backing to peel they obviously would only cover a small area so I'm thinking that my 1st thought is the correct way for application? Any help would be greatly appreciated~Thanks

              1 answer

              • Brand Expert

                A:

The peel pads have enough product to cover the face, neck, decolletage, and another small area such as the backs of the hands. After swiping over those areas, you wait 3-5 min, then rinse thoroughly with water to neutralize the acids and halt exfoliation. The "peel" part comes into play because it's a chemical exfoliator with alpha hydroxy acids, rather than a physical exfoliator. Unlike the chemical peels you can get in a doctor's office, these at-home peels are formulated with a calming complex to be gentle and effective at revealing radiant skin.

These won't physically lighten the darker skin, but they will help exfoliate and turn over new skin cells to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

Peel pads are great for all of the issues you mentioned because they help turn over skin cells much faster than your body can on its own. Vitamin C is also a fantastic ingredient for wrinkles and discoloration.

The Kakadu C Peel Pads are gentle enough for daily use, whereas the Exuviance pads are recommended for use only 2X/week. The Kakadu Peels also contain vitamin C which is an ingredient proven to help lighten hyperpigmentation.

The pads should be used as an exfoliating and brightening treatment, so you can skip any exfoliating toners. Since the pads are meant to be washed off after two-three minutes, you can always apply your Vitamin C serum afterwards for a double dose - it will absorb even better after using the peel!

                A:

I would alternate days using the peel and the Retin-A. Alternating using the peel pad and retinol will help the Retin-A absorb better and will cut down on flakiness, but used together the ingredients can counteract one another.

                A:

The main ingredient in these pads is glycolic acid, so you might want to use them at night when you are not using the glycolic acid toner on top. The pads should be applied to freshly cleansed skin, left on for 1-3 minutes, then neutralized with water and followed by a moisturizer.
