Most Helpful Positive Review DERMAdoctor Kakadu C Serum W/Ferulic Acid & Vit E
I can not see this product, NOT working. DERMAdoctor Kakacu C IS highly effective. My main concerns for using a Vit C product, are to keep dark spots at bay and lighten the spots on my face. And, after only using this product since 21 Days of Beauty at Ulta (thats when I purchased it at half price, 6 weeks ago) I'm noticing the darkness on my cheeks are alot lighter. And, I use Vit C products regularly and have for many years! DERMAdoctor has been the most effective. I try to apply just a few drops to my whole face because, if you use too much, it can be sticky. I only use it at night. Some Vit C products, recommend, night use only. C can decay on your skin in sunlight and deems the product ineffective, wasting your money. I love the fact, ferulic acid is included in this product. Im 57 and have very few fine lines anc noticed sincd using this product, the tiny lines under my eyes are nearly gone. They may have gotton plumped because Vit C builds collagen and thats been a goal of mine. To help thicken the delicate skin, just under my eye bags where those fine lines were. I use my toner, then essence, serum, hyaluronic acid serum, DERMAdoctor Kakadu C, then, my moisturizer. I have been following the K-Beauty 10 step skin care routine for 1 year, since writing this review on 11/04/17. I highly recommend DERMAdoctor Kakadu C. The Ferulic acid is fantastic ingredient to help the health of skin cells. Sometimes, I mix a few drops of 100% Squalane Oil with a few drops of Kakadu C, to make it less viscous. It absorbs quicker. Squalane is a lipid, we are all born with. By your early 20's, you've lost more than half. Thats the beginning, when, collagen breaks down and fine lines start. Peter Thomas Roth has 100% Squalane Oil you can purchase at Ulta. DERMAdoctor Kakadu C is by far, the best, most effective in record time, I've ever used for a VIT C product. Do what you can, to purchase a bottle. Split the cost with a friend.and share a bottle!
Most Helpful Critical Review Good but not the best Vit. C serum
This was my first vitamin c serum. Bought 6 months ago when ulta had it for 50% off. Ive had good results but it's not the best out there. Been using day and night.
Now in my 30s I have oily, clog prone skin with fine wrinkles and a prominant laugh line. Mild acne, small surface bumps and occasional cystic that gets worse with certain products.
Just finished my bottle after 5-ish months. It hasn't worked to fade sun damage (but to be fair, I wasn't wearing sunscreen daily til recently). But it does help SO much with my wrinkles and red marks from acne. I think it clogs my pores too though..not enough that it's very noticeable, but still. I only started seeing the plumping and eye brightening effects after ~3 months. I started really loving my face in the mirror for the first time in a long time.
I recently started using Mad Hippie vitamin c serum (MAP vit c). It is better for oily skin than this, but I was surprised to see an immediate difference in the depth of my laugh line and puffy, dark under eye. I started using my very last drops of this on top of the Mad Hippie serum just to moisturize my undereye and plump laugh line area, and the glow returned. So this definitely has been working some magic.
But a week ago I started using Skinceuticals C E Ferulic (LAA vit c) and i can tell you, it IS BETTER than this in brightening, firming, and NOT clogging my pores at all. All the benefits of this kakadu serum but better. It is worth it to buy the skinceuticals if you're already buying this serum at full price.
I've been using SheaMoisture Problematic Skin Moisturizer on top of this day and night, and it's a very good combo.
So give this a try if you want, it's good, but I do recommend Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Serum over this one.

I have use this product for 3 years. I wasn't that great taking care of my skin in my youth and the sun worshiping 80's took their toll. I get compliments on my skin and people think I'm 10+ years younger than I am! The proof is in the SERUM!
Nim from Philadelphia
This is by far, the best vitaminC Serum I have ever used. It basically took care of all my skin problems (fine lines, dullness, pigmentation and uneven texture), that too within 3 months. I am waiting for 21 days of Ulta sale to get my next bottle. :)
kmp from Pennsylvania
I had high hopes for this serum since it's so expensive. It was sticky and caused blemishes. It's sitting in my medicine cabinet doing to waste. It's frustrating to spend so much money on an item for it to be far from worthwhile. I've used cheaper items that at least weren't like rubbing sticky goop on my face. Very disappointed.
I disliked it a lot!
Sunflower180 from NJ
I thought I would give this a shot since it was 50% off during 21 Days of Beauty. For this being the first Vitamin C I tried it was SO sticky and it kinda smelled. The worst part about it is that nothing changed. my face didn't brighten up and the dark spots didn't go away. :(
LOVE THIS SERUM
Houston from Friendswood
my skin: acne prone , oily, very sensitive I LOVE skincare and spend a lot on skincare
Review : Plumps the skin , does not make my skin break out In fact keeps it smooth and acne free brightens skin I love this product the results I get from this is almost as good as Skin Ceuticles 20% vitamin C. , Obagi 20% vitamin C , Skinceuticles C E FERULIC
This serum is Much Better than Drunk Elephant , Loreal , Mad hippi , Bodescu and many other cheaper ones and believe me I have tried sooo many.
Morning I use 3 drops Then Colorscience tint SPF then IT Cosmetics original CC cream then finishing powder etc
Night: 6 drops , Niamicin serum, Tazarac

i've bought this every time the 21 days of beauty has this for half off. i loved the way it felt on my skin, so luxurious and silky. it's almost oily. this last bottle i bought is completely different. it isn't oily, smells and leaves my skin and hands tacky.
jenjen from San Jose
I like this product. I don't find it heavy or greasy on my 55 year old skin. It has a high percentage of vitamin C for the price
definetly repurchase..as I have done a few times already.
Ilene from denver
I use this every morning or night depending on time of day. I have used this for a few years and like the results!
No thank you
Lisa from Fleming Island, FL
The product absorbs quickly, but leaves the skin feeling tacky and it doesn't smell nice.
I love this product!!!!

I love this product! It makes my skin soft and my makeup looks perfect after I put this product on !
Not doing much
AEL from Washington DC
I think the consistency of this is nice - better than the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C, which I find sticky and makes me look oily. But this isn't particularly effective. I noticed results with the Drunk Elephant serum and nothing with this. Won't buy again.

I've had this for about 6 months due to finding it difficult when I can use it. It makes my face look greasy. I'd put it on night then in the morning my skin would look good.
Not effective - waste of money
Nessjewel from MI
I purchased this during the last 21 days of beauty. Initially it was fine, but drying. Then as I used it I noticed my skin looked dry and horrible. It made all of my fine lines look like craters. But I didn't realize this was the reason. The last time I used it my skin reacted so bad, my lips were red (didn't apply it to my lips) around my eyes, everything was red and inflamed. I didn't apply it even close to my eyes, so the reaction was strange. I do not recommend this product, it is too aggressive and dangerous.
Heather from Maryland
Had a terrible burn-like reaction to this product.
Not that great
AN from Mercersburg
I bought this when it was on sale cause of the price. The comments were so good and thought why not since it's a good time to give it a try and honestly wished I would've just saved my money, didn't see a difference and felt like sometimes made me breakout when I would use this. I would honestly pass and put towards something else that could possibly work.
Gave me acne
Lynda from NC
I'm late 40's but have great skin and look 10 years younger than my age. I try to take care of my skin but do have issues with dark circles that are relentless. I have peri menopausal acne on my chin and occasional T zone issues but NEVER do I get acne on my cheeks. Never. This brought out acne on my cheeks and that was the final straw.
I used this for about 6-8 weeks and at first it dried my skin out quite a bit but that stopped after about 2 weeks in. I use mostly Origins face products and would use a mild toner first, then about 5 drops of this on my face and neck, followed with Origins Planscriptions face serum, eye serum and night cream. The rest of the products are my normal routine. This was the only new item.
I started getting acne on my cheeks and waited it out another 4 weeks but it showed no sign of stopping. It's always annoying when people use a product for 1-2 weeks and rate it badly because it isn't working yet. Hello, sometimes you have to give it time. I think this improved my skin a little in the month & half that I used it but if I'm getting acne as a result, that kills any benefit I got from it. I'm going to try either Dunk Elephant or Maelove Glow Maker instead.
Red, Swollen Face
Steph from New York, NY
I know everyone reacts differently to different products, but my experience with this product was terrible. I put this on my face at night and woke up with irritated, red skin, The redness got worse throughout the day and soon my face was itchy and swollen. The redness did not subside for days. The only thing I had changed in my routine was this facial product. I'm not saying it's a terrible product, but it was for me. Should you feel inclined to purchase, I would suggest maybe a spot test to see if you have a reaction before applying to the full face.
Didn't do anything

Bought this for sun spots. Used the entire bottle and didn't notice a difference.
LOVE! Worth the money

Has gotten rid of SO many of my sunspots. Was worried because it's so expensive. But is now one of my favorite serums by far
Another product failing to lighten natural dark under-eyes!!
KeKe from Annapolis, MD
Wanted to find something that could help my genetically dark under eye circles. Saw a great deal of reviews that said the main issue was breaking out "though what's the harm then?" Not only did this cause my oily skin to breakout but it didn't remotely help my acne marks or circles. Will not be purchasing again.
Clueless Shopper from Connecticut
I bought this during the 21 Days of Beauty (disclaimer I bought this last year I believe, I just found the bottle while I was decluttering and it gave me war flashbacks) I got it along with the Patchology eye patches (I think that was the brand name they're long gone but I loved them I just don't want to splurge on new ones got them because it was good sale price at the time) and in the beginning I loved it but I tended to forget to put it on at night, it only got used 3-4 times in total last year, the last time I used it I had a horrible reaction. Woke up in the morning my face itching on my right side of my face it was so bad I thought I got bitten by a mosquitoor something like that. 2 hours later I felt my face really hot and itchy but I just ignored it, when I got to my mom's, she looked surprised and asked what happened to my face. I said it was a mosquito but my mom insisted that it was no mosquito bite, I looked on the mirror and saw both of my cheeks were swollen and red it felt like I got a really bad sunburn and my face got hotter and itchier. I put aloe vera on my face and use an ice roller to manage the inflammation. I honestly thought I ate something which is rare because I'm only allergic to insects bites that's why I thought it was a mosquito earlier because i tend to have weird reactions like that (instead of the normal bump I get a huge bump looks, gets really red, starts to burn and extreme itchiness) but I didn't have any other reaction except what was happening to my face. 8 hours later my face was super swollen, my eyelids, my lips, everything I looked horrible. That's when I remembered I used this serum the night before which explained why only my face was being affected. Took me 5 days to go back to normal. I got the serum to help with fine lines etc (I smile too much and make a lot of facial expressions I can't help it) but I ended up with more lines and even more pronounced after the inflammation. Horrible experience. I know everyone has different reactions and skin but I recommend you do more research on the ingredients or talk to your dermatologist before purchasing this.
From an avid Vit. C user

I use Vitamin C daily. I use face oils daily. My skincare consists of several products that some would consider too time consuming and too expensive, but I've done it for over 20 years. There's no turning back now.
I decided to buy this evening oil to use on nights when I don't use my prescription R.–A (used for fine lines, wrinkles, firmness). Although it does give my skin a slight glow in the morning, it also irritates my skin. When I wake up, my eyes are red and swollen, and my skin feels dry in abnormal areas. I know it's not the Vitamin C, because I've been using it for years without any negative reactions. I've used cheaper, better nighttime oils with Vit. C that work, actually delivering on their claims.
Before you buy this, go ahead and look at Drunk Elephant's Vit. C Serum. If you want to save a lot of money, try Timeless Vit. C Serum. It's extremely affordable and actually works. I keep it around to use at night just because it is so affordable. Regardless of which one you buy, keep it in a cool, dry and dark place. I keep mine in a mini skincare refrigerator, which makes them last much longer than they would if I kept them on my bathroom sink, exposed to light and other factors.
That said, 3 products that can't be beat in my opinion:
1. Drunk Elephant
Vitamin C + B + E & Ferulic Serum
3. SkinCeuticals' C E Ferulic serum
NOURISHMAX is 1/2 the price of Skinceuticals and I actually enjoy it more. Just a little FYI

I had previously purchased this and absolutely loved it!! ..... but when I repurchased after I had used the whole bottle, the new one did not feel the same...sticky... used for only two days and I broke out so bad! nothing and itching... Tony bumps all over my face and had to apply hydrocortisone cream! They must have changed the formula! I asked the manager at Ulta, and she didn't know, so I ended up returning the bottle instead exchanging it... called dermadocter's customer service, but they have not gotten back to me yet. Don't know what I'll look for next to use. Very dissapointed and dissatisfied with the lack of knowledge and help from the manager at ulta
Changed my skin in a short amount of time

I bought this at 21 days of beauty, and let me just say it has been one week and my skin is already noticeably brighter, hydrated and my acne marks have gotten brighter! I will defined purchase this at the regular price! It's that good!
Decent dupe for high end brands

Same ingredients as $165 Skinceuticals CE Ferulic and smells the exact same. Its slightly cheaper regular priced, but if you get it on 21 days of beauty it's a deal so I tried it. The only thing thats different is it's really sticky on your skin, doesn't really soak in so I use it at night. I use it every other night rotating with my retinol serum. No extreme differences in my skin yet but its only been 2 weeks.
