Most Helpful Positive Review No need to straighten my naturally curly hair before curling I have tried a lot of heat tools over the years. I mean, A LOT. Though I've found some good ones, I could never find one that delivered curls without me having to straighten my naturally curly hair first. That was until I discovered the TYME Iron Pro. People, listen to me... this device makes magic happen. My hair (which falls a few inches below my shoulders when left to curl naturally) does not need to be straightened first before I create my curls!! Time saved = minimum 30 minutes! When I got my iron I saw from an insert in the box that the company recommended I watch a short 4-step tutorial first to make sure I was using the iron properly. So I did, and it was pretty easy! But honestly, if I hadn't followed the directions, I'm sure my attempts to make pretty curls would have been a flop. So thank you TYME for making a video to teach your customers how to use this miracle wand! I used it to make beachy waves for the first time last night and they turned out fab! I am hooked, and I get compliments on my hair every single time I use it!
Most Helpful Critical Review Wanted to love it but..... I wanted to love the product, but it was too much of a headache for me to get the hang of all the angles you must stay at to produce consistent curls. I'm a mother of 4 and to take the time to achieve this, as some reviewers have, well, maybe I'm challenged, but it was just too much after the two attempts and watching about 10 YouTube videos, reading the instructions in the box and on Ulta's site. I think I'm finally just throwing my hands up.....if my arms weren't so sore from taking the get through my thick hair. It becomes somewhat heavy after you've spent about 40 mins getting through all the sections of hair!! That may be just me having thick hair. Plus, I put it on the second lowest setting and my hair didn't slide easily and left creases. Just overall, disappointed. Anyway, I have the T3 trio and love it. Will stick to that. Thought if this was faster, it'd be worth it. Just not faster to use in my opinion, never mind the obvious learning curve to use. Returning it sadly. First time for everything!

Didn't last 1

Like everyone else found out complicated. I have thick wavy hair. I'd have to straighten my hair first. Then use this. Very time consuming. I had surgery so i didn't use it for months. Decided to give it another try last night and it won't even power on. I can't believe after only using this product a few times it doesn't work. I bought this one year ago. I bought a Paul Mitchell straightener 15 yrs ago that still works! Very disappointing and such a waste of almost $200
Makes curling so easy! 5

This iron is great for curling your hair (or straightening if you'd like). I've seen tons of reviews saying it doesn't work or it pulls on your hair - those people are using it wrong, guaranteed. Tyme will also do unlimited FaceTime sessions with you to help you fix any issues you're having - it worked wonders for me! It literally my curling time from an hour to a half hour, and I have thick hair! Love it!
Disappointed 3

This fried my hair. It doesn't glide smoothly. it just pulled my hair.
So good 5

I LOVE this iron! I have frizzy, wavy hair, and this lets me get those sleek beachy waves. Before this, I'd have to use a straightener for the top of my hair, and a curling iron for the bottom. Now, it's all in one!
Great way to get the curls you want! 4

You MUST thoroughly read the directions before using...I recommend watching the short video they have on their website showing you step by step instructions on how to use the wand for curls. It is not hard to use at all. I have very long, straight hair and never curl it because curling irons never seem to give me the look I want, it takes too long, and the curls never last. Not so with the Tyme iron...I was very pleased with the results and the curls did last (for the most part) until I washed my hair. The only reason I didn't give this iron 5 stars is because it's expensive.
Not only the price is ridiculous but not easy to used 😡 3

Easy to use
Unless your hair is made of silk this is useless 1

I don't know how anyone has the patience for this tool. It is way too complicated. I was able to get a few wavy curls on my left side but on the right side forget it. I was not able to get the correct angle needed and the tool is awkward and heavy. I'll stick with a brand that doesn't require such a steep learning curve. It also did not glide along my hair like all the videos show. Maybe I just don't have the right hair for this, but I brushed through every section so there were no tangles and it still pulled my hair. Maybe if your hair is made of silk it will work fine.
Loving it 5

Once you get the hang of it you're hooked. Hands down best hair tool I've ever had. So glad I bought this
Way too complicated not worth it 1

Although I like the idea of this tool, it didn't pan out for me. I am a licensed hairstylist and I still found this tool to be too complicated for me, and my clients.
not for me. 2

i have thick, dry, curly hair and i did not like it at all. it was almost impossible to create beach waves after i straightened it and i watched tutorials on youtube. i even used a thermal protection spray and it still fried my ends. gonna be a no for me

I rather use a regular curling iron
I feel like I am pulling my hair out
Horrible product 1

If I could give this product 0 stars I would. Please do not waste your money. This product does not glide through hair to get it a curl it pulls, does not curl right at all. Not worth it
The thing I've been searching for! 5

I struggle to keep a curl in my hair with a curling iron (I've tried the Beach Waver and the T3, and returned them both), and am not successful curling with traditional flat irons. I've been eyeing the Tyme iron for months, and finally bit the bullet. I watched the YouTube videos, and after a couple tries finally figured it out, and am consistently getting the look I want now! With a curling iron my hair would fall flat in a few hours, but I can sleep and work out daily and my Tyme-wave remains for days. I get the PERFECT second-day look, and only have to do a couple touch ups on day three. I'm honestly still in disbelief. It does take time to figure out how to use it, and my wrist hurts after curling the left side of my hair, but because I really only have to do a full curl/wave every three days it's been okay.
Wow this is a game changer!! 5

I splurged on this because I want to start curling my hair and my hair NEVER holds curl. I have a wand and by the time I walk out the door it has all fallen. Since using this it is super easy to use and I don't have to worry about burning myself getting to hair at the back of my head. I would purchase again. I honestly think it is worth the money. But be nice if it was cheaper. Highly recommend.
Super Complicated 1

I loved the style but could not get the hang of it. It was too confusing even after watching the videos. Plus if ur left handed like I am count yourself out. Using a tool like this should not be so complicated.
Not for me, too time consuming and difficult to use 1

Not saying product is bad just not for me
Too complicated 1
Queeko from California
I watched the videos on how to use this and still could not get it to curl on one side of my hair. It's a beautiful hot tool but for the price point it should not be so complicated to use.
Very difficult to use 3

You must watch the video first on how to use this styling iron. I purchased it for soft waving bunt hair ends still end up straight. It is great for straight your hair though, but you can get the same results with a less expensive tool.
Disappointed...complicated! 1

I was so excited for the Tyme Iron Pro to come to Ulta. I have been wanting one, no pun intended, for a long time. Sadly, this iron, although beautiful, just doesn't live up to the hype. Although I mastered the curling technique fairly quickly, I found it to be hard on my fine hair, and I was noticing breakage. Back The Tyme iron went, and back to my trusty Chi flatiron for beach waves. No need to fork over close to 200 bucks for what you can do with a nice flatiron and experience less hair damage.

I literally wanted to throw this!!!
All that social media hype wanted me to buy this so I did! I should have already known that by now.
- this should just be a curler since they advertised it to curl and we're all like wowed by it, right?!
- straightening and curling side made this hard and complicated.
- setting 1-3 too weak to curl
- setting 4-5 smokes your hair, yes it was smoking and dried my hair!!! I got scared!
- it pulls your hair! It does not glide at all!
- if I did get a decent curl out it loses the curl after a minute or two so I'm back to square 1!
- I gave up and will be returning this item!
Good Luck to next Buyer!
I'm a fan! 5

Purchased after seeing videos on social media. Took me a few tries and a few tutorial videos to get the hang of it, but now I can't live without my Tyme iron! I use it both as a flat iron, and also to curl my hair. The curls hold way better for me with Tyme than with my Dyson airwrap curling irons. I have thick, frizzy hair. 5 stars! Love it!
Absolutely love it ❤️ 5
