Most Helpful Positive Review No need to straighten my naturally curly hair before curling
I have tried a lot of heat tools over the years. I mean, A LOT. Though I've found some good ones, I could never find one that delivered curls without me having to straighten my naturally curly hair first. That was until I discovered the TYME Iron Pro. People, listen to me... this device makes magic happen. My hair (which falls a few inches below my shoulders when left to curl naturally) does not need to be straightened first before I create my curls!! Time saved = minimum 30 minutes! When I got my iron I saw from an insert in the box that the company recommended I watch a short 4-step tutorial first to make sure I was using the iron properly. So I did, and it was pretty easy! But honestly, if I hadn't followed the directions, I'm sure my attempts to make pretty curls would have been a flop. So thank you TYME for making a video to teach your customers how to use this miracle wand! I used it to make beachy waves for the first time last night and they turned out fab! I am hooked, and I get compliments on my hair every single time I use it!
Most Helpful Critical Review Wanted to love it but.....
I wanted to love the product, but it was too much of a headache for me to get the hang of all the angles you must stay at to produce consistent curls. I'm a mother of 4 and to take the time to achieve this, as some reviewers have, well, maybe I'm challenged, but it was just too much after the two attempts and watching about 10 YouTube videos, reading the instructions in the box and on Ulta's site. I think I'm finally just throwing my hands up.....if my arms weren't so sore from taking the get through my thick hair. It becomes somewhat heavy after you've spent about 40 mins getting through all the sections of hair!! That may be just me having thick hair. Plus, I put it on the second lowest setting and my hair didn't slide easily and left creases. Just overall, disappointed. Anyway, I have the T3 trio and love it. Will stick to that. Thought if this was faster, it'd be worth it. Just not faster to use in my opinion, never mind the obvious learning curve to use. Returning it sadly. First time for everything!

I wanted this product so bad after seeing all the ads of people using this and their hair looking fantastic. I watched tutorials before I decided to purchase and saw reviews that mentioned it's difficult to use and you have to practice several times to get the hang of it. I went into it knowing it would take practice but I was willing to do that if I could get the curls I saw In the video. Now here is the actual experience I had with it. It made the crimp lines from the straightening side at the top of my hair. It did not guide through easy at all. I was not clamping down hard at all when using it, just enough for the hair not to fall out when sliding it through. The worst part for me is that after using it my hair smelled burnt (I was not even using it at the highest heat setting and used heat protectant) and it felt stiff and straw like. When I washed my hair after using it my hair felt so stiff and straw like the only thing I can compare it to is when my hair was first bleached and it lost so much moisture. After the first try I watched different tutorials again and tried 3 more times and sometimes I got decent curls but mist of the time not. It definitely didn't glide through the hair and it made it way frizzier than normal. For reference I have Mid back length fine naturally wavy hair but I blow dried my hair first so it was straight before trying. Needless to say a hair tool shouldn't be this stressful to use and you shouldn't have to put in hours of practice and watching videos. I am officially giving up on this and returning it. I actually have a new appreciation for the simplicity of the regular curling iron now.
Not for me...
Sabrena from Lakeland,Fl
I have long fine hair and it holds curl very nicely not to mention I had day 2 hair of dry shampoo... I tried this out and was so excited only to find out it did nothing for my hair. I watched the videos and tried several different ways to make this work and nothing... it looks very cheap and it snags you're hair also. I'm better of with a curling wand. 😔
Not for fine hair
Michelle from Florida
This thing is just frying my fine hair. Maybe if I practiced more it might be ok but I am really afraid of damaging my hair further.
Zero stars if possible

Awful simply awful it burned my hair even on low setting any ordinary Curling iron that's worth the price can do much better than that and will last all day don't waste your money
Lady lori from Vacaville California
Don't waste your money simply awful burns hair not worth the hype not worth the price.

worst investment I've ever made. $20 curling wands were better. Is advertised to be good for any hair type, a complete lie. If you have thick hair that is hard to manage, stick to curling wands that are ceramic. Iso has a great one.

I don't recommend this product at all it burned my hair and am gonna return it today.
I would not waste my money.

It doesn't curl well
Wanted this to work :(
GMC134 from Maryland
I am so disappointed in this iron. I have wanted to get this for quite some time and I finally broke down and purchased. I watched the videos. After a couple of tries I got the curl motion down. It created great curls. But they only lasted 15-20 minutes. This has never happened with other curling wands. I tried all the tips and tricks provided by Tyme and I purchased additional hair products to help with hold. No dice. Also disappointing is that I scheduled the free style appointment with a Tyme stylist. I received all the reminders and the stylist never showed. I reached out to Tyme and was told they would contact the stylist to resolve the issue. I never heard from the stylist and customer service basically pointed me back to the YouTube videos. The bottom line is that this is an over-priced tool and the company has poor customer service. I will be returning.
Watch the online videos and you'll have perfect curls!

At first try I didn't see why so many rave about this product. Once I watched their instructional videos I learned I was using it completely wrong. When correctly using this iron you get amazing results every time. Takes a lot of practice and patience at first, but it's worth it. My hair has never held curl for 10 minutes, and I gets days of curls with this iron! Incredible product and well worth the cost!
I love it!
Maria from Santa Maria, CA
Take less than 10 min to do my hair. So simple and easy to use once you get a hang of it.
I was really disappointed in this product
Ana from Orange County, CA
It was not easy to maneuver. It felt like it was burning my hair even when I adjusted the setting. I tried to use it a couple times before returning it.

Took a days or so to get used to the technique but now it's a breeze to use
good but not worth the hype

This works god but it is not worth the hype or price.
Best Curling Iron EVER!
AC from Reno, NV
This is the best curling iron I have ever used. It's easy to use once you get the hang of how to position the iron in your hand for each side. It's like using a flat iron. I have thick hair and with a normal curling iron my hair falls flat within an hour or two. Not with this iron though! The curls stay intact for a couple days! Get this iron! It's well worth the money.
A straightener for stubborn hair!
Vanna from Boise ID
I absolutely love this straightener! My old straightener took FOREVER to heat up then never actually straightened my hair. This one takes minutes and makes my hair less frizzy.
Regrettably, it's not right for me.
Barbara from Oceanside
Didn't work for my hair.
AMB151 from Grand Rapids
I was excited to use this styler..unfortunately it ripped my hair out and didn't glide like I would expect at this price point. I've used cheap straighteners that worked better than this. I will be returning.
Really Like it
Brooke from Undisclosed
I hesitated getting this iron, but after six months I finally caved and shelled out for it. Yes, it's expensive. Just as overpriced as many of the beauty tools we know and love. But do I think it is worth it? I actually do, while the iron is esthetically pleasing, I was disappointed when I got it and saw how plastic it really is. However, I tried not to let that affect my opinion of it. Second thing I noticed, it has a curved swivel cord, which I despise, but it is well made so it maneuvers smoothly. Third thing, I am a lefty and I have short arms so this iron instantly became more of a challenge. Despite all of that, I was definitely impressed at first. Now, one thing to note, I mainly use it to flat iron but as someone with thick hair, I like the versatility of being able to curl my hair quickly, without the space take up of several hot tools. So yes, the first several times I used this I loved it. Then, after about the third use, I forgot what I was doing and could not achieve the results I did before. After several bouts of frustration, I decided to put it away, and I didn't pick it up again until two months later. With more and more practice, as well as daily use, I have fixed my problem. Now that I have once again figured out how to use the darn thing, I am glad I have it in my beauty arsenal. It makes my thick and already shiny hair, sleek and beautiful. I can't wait to curl more with it and see how much time it cuts down for me. If you have hesitations about this iron, do you research first. By that I mean, make sure this tool does what you need it too, before you splash out the cash. I would not go as far to call this a game changer, but it is well made, learnable with a bit of time and practice, and best of all it is versatile.
Not good on longer hair
Nat from H-town
It really only curled the tail end of my hair. And you have to go really slow with small sections. So much faster just to use a curling wand.
My hair feels fried
Pepper Potts from El Paso
Makes my hair feel hard , does not leave my hair soft . It does curl as advertised i just don't like the way my hair feels after i use it . I will be returning it.
Fast and great waves/curls once you learn it!

I watched the YouTube videos and they were really helpful. It took me a week to get this down. The grip of the iron is awkward at first but later you start to realize it by design. At first I got the weird, frizzy curls because I was afraid to ruin my hair and tried to pull the iron through quickly. After I got the courage to actually take the company's advice to slow down, I actually got some nice, shiny curls with the right amount of volume. So it takes some trust on the company's training videos. After about 2 weeks of using this iron, I cut my hair style time to 7 minutes (I have long, thin hair but LOTS of it- it took about 3 hours to put rollers in my hair to perm it back in the 90s). The grip of the iron and the motion is awkward but once you put in the time to get some muscle memory into the motion, it's definitely worth it!
Lots of work but worth it.
TK from Wisconsin
This iron takes some getting used to and you really do need to watch the how to videos to help you along the way. Every time I practiced I got better and it got easier and quicker. I love the curls I get with this iron compared to the many other tools I have and have used in the past.
Fast and great variety of curls
CyndiH from Kansas City Metro
I watched several of Tyme's very descriptive videos and really like the results over my other regular flat iron and curling iron. I'm really glad I got it.
Knew that I'd love it!

I've been looking into getting the TYME iron for a long time now, but I'm happy I purchased it. It did take some time for me learning how to use it, but it's made getting ready in the morning a breeze.
