Most Helpful Positive Review LOVE this!! I'm so glad I took a chance and purchased this! I have salt and pepper almost waist length straight hair that I stopped coloring over two years ago. I have several white streaks in front along with the majority of my white and silver in front. Most people that go gray use the blue or purple shampoo to make their hair WHITE white.... I personally loathe that look! I feel like it makes my head look like its glowing lol!!
Anyway, I use this dry shampoo not just to clean my hair (I use regular shampoo twice a week) but to keep the white/silver hair more subdued looking. I absolutely love the way it looks!
This product has a fine spray on and brushes through well in addition to smelling great. Will repurchase!!
Most Helpful Critical Review super bummed I LOVE everything paul mitchell. EVERYTHING! Their products smell so amazing and work so well I just would never second guess buying anything from them. I was SOOO excited when I saw that they had a dry shampoo. I have keratin treated hair and try to shampoo as infrequently as possible. Anyway, tried this last weekend and the smell is horrendous. Not a paul mitchell smell at all. And I can't really descibe what it did to my hair, but it did not make it better. I had to wash that day. So needless to say, super bummed, would not recommend, would not buy again.

This is great for a freshen up or to temporarily cover roots
Doesn't do much 2

This dry shampoo is just okay. It's great because it is invisible, but it only works for about an hour and then your hair is greasy again. It kinda made my hair more oily than it was to begin with. Amika is better.
Good product to use between colorings 5

This is a good product to use to cover gray hair between colorings. It is gentle on hair.
Great Product for Time While Salons are Closed 5

I use this product to touch up my roots. I don't use it as a dry shampoo, as it actually makes your hair feel like you have hairspray on. However, that's a good thing when you can't color your hair and then you don't have any volume. This product covers roots beautifully (and lasts for 1-2 days), and it adds volume. Perfect for these times when we can't get to the salon.
Very disappointed in this product. 1

I love Paul Mitchell products, but I will be returning this one. The brown tint comes off. I had to wash my hands 3 times in between brushing it through my hair! I actually put an old blanket on my pillow after I sprayed in on, so that it wouldn't get on there. It also smells awful and made my hair feel like there was hairspray in it and harder to brush through.
Best dry shampoo 5
Nsm3boys from Monroe twp NJ
Best dry shampoo for people with dark hair none of that white gray residue . It works very well at keeping the oil away and it you have some grays coming in it covers them. I have been buying this dry shampoo for over a year now .
Didn't Work As I Thought 2
Yoga Girl from Cincinnati, OH
The smell is almost overpowering. I kept smelling it when I turned my head or in the breeze - the smell is so strong, I was getting a headache. I also wasn't impressed with how my hair looked afterwards. I didn't notice an increase in volume like I normally do with dry shampoo. Normally my hair can go for almost a full workday before looking kind of greasy again, but I wasn't really impressed with this dry shampoo. I used Batiste in the past and will probably continue in the future. My hair is really dark, so I spray it in my hair and let the powder dissipate before tussling my hair to fully dissolve.
I wouldn't buy this product again. 2

I have tried several brands of dry shampoo and by far this is the best one for my fine hair. It never leaves white residue and absorbs the oil just fine and smells great.
Does not work for my hair 1
Amber from Tempe
This product leaves my hair feeling dirty and greasy after use.
did not work for my hair at all. 2
spotschick from las vegas
This is hard "no" for me. I have been on a quest to find a "holy grail" dry shampoo that would work on my fine hair and not cost a small fortune. This is just gross. With other dry shampoos, I can go two days between hair washing, using a damp comb, restyling, and then spraying on dry shampoo, waiting two minutes, brushing through, and usually good to go. This stuff actually makes my hair greasy and it feels gross. Sitting here typing out this review and cannot wait to wash my hair.
Terrible dry shampoo 1
Steph from Nashville, TN
I like dry shampoos that absorb the oil, not create more. This dry shampoo makes your hair look and feel very dirty. Washed my hair yesterday and used the dry shampoo this morning, may hair looks embarrassingly oily 1 hour later
Perfect root coverage 5
KyMomOf1 from Kentucky
When I don't have time to color & the roots are shining, just a few sprays & I'm good to go. The added volume is a plus for my fine hair.
Not what I expected. 1

I've used dry shampoo a lot. Decided to finally switch to Paul Mitchell from Not Your Mom's. Sprayed it in my hair. About an hour later I washed my hair to get it out. Not only did it not smell good it made it seem like I had sprayed hairspray in my hair. It made it oily and very hard to brush. I am very disappointed. The only thing I am happy about is I didn't have to pay for it due to the buy 2 get 3rd free offer.
Doesn't get the job done 1
Kkbug90 from Oklahoma
I got this as a free gift with other purchase and would definitely be returning had it cost me anything. It actually made my hair look really oily and felt so dirty. I bought hask (Argan) dry shampoo later the same day I tried to use this product and immediately after using it, my hair was clean, shiny, and had volume. I would buy that one instead and it's about a third of the price.
I love this stuff to the Moon and back. 5

I absolutely love the smell of this dry shampoo but it left my hair feeling so oily and nasty and I hardly sprayed any in my hair.

Love to use the Paul Mitchell brunette dry shampoo in between visits to the salon. Great for covering gray!
Love this for root color up 4
Lynn from Port Saint Lucie, fl
Great product for in between root touch ups and to clean hair in between shampoos. However, not the best dry shampoo but the best if you are looking for color touch up and dry shampoo
Best color fix 5
Kim from IL
Covered up my greys in between color WOW!!! I'm a week late and my stylist recommended this. I love It!
I wash my hair every 2 days and it stays and my hair looks filled when there are no signs of grey , especially in my part area :)
Best color safe dry shampoo for those with some gray to hide 5
MandyK from Kentucky
Only con is too pricey, (Expensive).
Does not absorb oil 2
Jenn from FL
I really wanted to love this product. It doesn't leave a white film/powder like so many dry shampoos, and it didn't smell weird. However, it doesn't do the job of a dry shampoo. In fact, any time I use it I feel it makes my hair even more oily, and leaves it feeling damp and heavy, no matter how little or how much product you spray. I would not recommend this product.
Not up to PS standards 1
Sonny from Seattle
I love Paul Mitchell products but this dry shampoo is horrible. I use dry shampoo to remove my "bed head" and excess oil between shampoos but this product just added shine and removed nothing. It is horrible for thinning hair. There are other great dry shampoos out there. Avoid this one if you have thin hair and want body and fullness.
I would try a different dry shampoo than this one. 2
Josie from Longview, WA
It didn't have the usual dry shampoo effect. Plus they put color in it so when you spray it colors your hair & scalp. I found brown marks on my face from fingering through my hair & then having residue on my fingers. Not my favorite Paul Mitchell product, pretty sad it wasn't awesome.
