I bought this razor on a whim because it was on sale and I was having a terrible time with my current leg shaving regimen. I was using a Venus Sensitive razor and had been for years. I alternated the shaving gels, creams, etc, still on the search for the perfect one for my skin. After shaving, I would apply The Body Shop body butters.
But, it had all stopped working. My legs would itch terribly after a shave and days later. I'd wait longer to shave thinking I was shaving too often (as that irritates me easily), but that made no difference.
So, I chucked everything I had away and started fresh. I bought this razor, Tree Hut Shave Oil (one shave lubricant I'd yet to try), and Tree Hut Body Butter. Then, I went to work.
It's been a couple of months now and I'm able to shave more frequently and have had ZERO irritation. The razor gives a wonderful and close shave. If you don't feel like using it both ways, you don't have to. You get a nice shave just using it as a regular razor.
I am stocking up on cartridge refills in preparation for the inevitable day they discontinue this because not enough people seem to be trying it or reviewing it.
I have nothing bad to say about this razor (and yes, I've dropped it and had no problems putting the cartridge back on as another reviewer did).
This razor did not shave my legs good at all. You have to bare down pretty hard for it to shave and the backward shave doesn't work so it's useless to buy a forward backward razor. I would not purchase this ever again.

I thought that I'd love it. The shave is great but the shave strip makes it feel slimy. I got an infection down there. Not fun.

I definitely had to get used to this razor. It doesn't shave my legs very well and it's okay for my underarms for the most part. The conditioning strip things get in the way, especially the one on the bottom.

Love this razor! I got it in a quarterly box, and it's not something I would have bought. The whole thing about shaving back and forth and the amount of blades seems a bit overkill to me. Well, I've been using it for a couple months now, and it's still going. I'm getting a LOT of shave out of this razor. I've even tried subscription razors, and they're not this good. I actually think I'm going to commit to this one. The price isn't bad, either. It's also a lot safer, as I haven't had any accidents.

This razor is really good. It will let you shave up or down and it good for armpits etc as well. Very gentle and doesn't cut easily.

Works both ways, just like it promises and leaves your legs fabulously smooth!

I was in the market for a new razor and when I saw this claiming to go back and forth I thought "why not try it" Got home and used it that night and was hooked! The hair on my legs grows in different directions so being able to start at my ankles and pull up then push down without nicks and cuts was AWESOME! It has cut my shave time in half! I have dropped it a few times with no troubles and changing the head has been easy, no problems like other reviews here.

The heads will not stay on and it made things very difficult.

I've dropped my razor in the shower quite a few times and didn't have the same experience as the other reviewer. This is by far the best razor I've ever had! I love that it shaves in both directions and gets really close.

The first time I used this razor it was amazing. It does exactly what it claims. It can shave both ways which saves me a lot of time shaving and I'm all for that. However the way the handle connects to the razor is seriously flawed. I dropped my razor during my second use and the razor popped off the handle. I tried to get the blades back on and it didn't really snap on to the handle. When I tried to use it afterwards it fell off right away. So I grabbed the refill razor and tried to put that one on with no luck. Every time I thought it was on the handle it would fall off again. I looked at the handle to make sure it didn't break when I dropped it, it's definitely not broken. I've dropped razors in the shower many times and I've never had this issue. I would hate to think that a single drop, especially in the shower where you're wet and soapy, would cause it to break like that. Great idea but horrible execution.
