1. Place water jet tip on unit by snapping tip into place (see C). 2. There is only one way to fill the water tank. Remove the water tank by sliding it down the unit (see D). NOTE: You can also use your favorite dental rinse or mouthwash. Thoroughly rinse reservoir with clean water after each use with mouthwash or dental rinse, and whenever unit has not been used for an extended period of time. 3. Begin with switch positioned to lowest setting (Lo) to allow gums to become accustomed to water jet cleaning. Before turning your unit on, place the jet tip in your mouth, keep your lips slightly closed, and lean over the sink. Let water flow from your mouth into the sink. 4. Adjust to higher setting (Hi) if desired for more powerful waterflow. Note: if the pressure diminishes over time, replace batteries. 5. Turn handle to direct the water jet tip toward tooth surfaces and between teeth to rinse away trapped plaque and particles. The pulsing action of the water massages gums as it cleans the entire mouth. NOTE: To prevent damage to delicate gum areas, do not point water jet tip directly at gums. Water jet tip should be held ¿ in. away from your teeth and gums.

Contact your dentist prior to use if you have had oral or periodontal surgery in the previous 12 months. When you start any new oral hygiene program, your gums may initially bleed slightly. Contact your dentist if excessive bleeding occurs or if bleeding continues after two weeks of use. Be sure that the water jet tip is held ¿ in. away from your teeth and gums. Damage to teeth and gums may occur if any other part of the unit touches them. This product is designed for oral cleaning only. DO NOT use the unit for any other purpose. As with any other new oral hygiene program, individuals with heart problems should check with their physician prior to using the Interplak by Conair Cordless Portable Water Flossing System, and should always exercise particular care with any oral hygiene device.
