Most Helpful Positive Review It's nice but sadly I have to return it. :(
I gave this product 4-stars because it comes to a close comparison to the wonderful Clinique Even Better foundation. However, I have to return it because the undertone was not golden enough. It was more warm-orange like. On Temptalia it said that Clinique Even Better in Cream caramel was a dupe for BB 323W but BB was warmer. I think I should have gone for 321W. But regardless, it's always a risk buying foundation online and I don't feel like trying to blind test colors with something so pricy because. And in my area, none of the Ulta's sell Beauty Bakerie which is a shame because my city is predominately populated by Blacks and non-Black ethnic groups! But they all just so happen to have Kylie cosmetics!
Still, I like BB products and it is a great, black-owned alternative to Fenty which is overrated because a pop star is the face of it. However, I think the company need to improve the shade charts that correspond with the model's faces on the original site.
I will have to return this beauty but I will buy the concealer instead. :)
Most Helpful Critical Review Here is my personal experience
Firstly, the packaging. It was cute and everything. But i needed a lock to lock it. I travel and this would spill in my bag if there was no lock. It was defintiely a huge missed opportunity. Also you dont get a full 1 fl oz, that bothered me just slightly because its the standard. Not everyone will go to the standard weight or oz, but it just bothered my slightly because of the price. Secondly, the skintone range is very limited i feel like. I understand that this is just a beginners range, I will give them that. When i went online to the beauty bakerie site, did a comparison with the foundation shade finder, went in store to check if it was right and it wasn't. It was way darker than my normal foundation. The next shade up looked okay in the store and at night. But when it was day time and I went outside, the next shade up was waaay too light for me. Like I wasn't able to make it work. It looked like I had a mask on. But if i went with the shade below, it would be too dark. I don't want to purchade two foudnations to get my skintone, I know that I should be able to buy one foundation that is close to my skintone or is my skintone. Third, fhe formula is everything I wanted. Hydrating. Smooth. Comfortable. Buildable. This is the formula itself, I used the beauty bakerie baking primer oil, and it made the foundation so difficult to work with. It would become uneven, cakey, patchy, streaky, and heavy feeling on the skin. In summary, the formula is what i asked for in a foundation and I almost had it. But the skin tone range is just too limited for me and the packaging was just not it for me. I feel if you can find your skintone, you would like this. But the color i got was so pale, there was no way of makig it work. If i went darker, it would look so wrong and it wiuld be too dark make it work.

I really enjoy this foundation it is full coverage. Easy to work with as long as you prep the skin well. I have normal skin find that this last all day and works with different primers and setting powders. The shade range is great for an indie brand.

I finally understand what medium coverage looks like. It's a pretty foundation, nice color match, but I need a full coverage foundation for my rosacea and mild acne. If they formulated this to be full coverage it would have been an easy 5 stars.

I applied this with the beauty bakerie wake and bake oil, nyx honey dew me up primer, and using the beauty bakerie sponge. The next step in my routine is usually to apply a good pot concealer over any acne. I have oily/acne prone skin and admittedly have a face picking problem due to anxiety. Well I forgot to put on my concealer this time and didn't realize it until half my face was covered. Turns out it wasn't necessary because the coverage was that good! It stayed and didn't transfer too much on my mask. I'll definitely be trying more products from them.
I wanted to love this so bad

I wanted to love this foundation so badly. I tried multiple different based primers to see if it would help and it didn't. The formula instantly oxidized to 2 or 3 shades darker than the original. I tried to apply it using a brush or sponge and it did not blend well at all. It was very patchy, cakey and streaky. My friends told me that to prevent this, you must use the primer the brand comes out with, which I don't think is fair. The story behind the brand is amazing and the packaging and presentation is everything, but this foundation just wasn't for me.
I wanted to love you

The foundation comes in super cute packaging and is fairly full coverage but unfortunately that's where the pros end for me. Putting any kind of powder down was impossible to blend. Once I put any bronzer on, it stayed in where I placed it. I was unable to blend any blushes or bronzers at all which was such a bummer.

This foundation literally give me confidence. I have acne and combo skin so it really does make me look beautiful. I works for me and usually foundations don't so I'm really happy
Not for me

This product was tough to match and hard for me to apply. I returned it, unfortunately . I love the concealer. I wish the foundation had a similar formula as the concealer.
Creases like crazy
Lauren from California
I was recommended this foundation by one of the girls at Ulta and said it gives a satin finish and she said it was like a dupe for the Este Lauder foundation. Well its definitely not. My skin is normal to combination. I usually just get dry spots around my lips and chin during the summer and this foundation made my face look so much dryer than it really is. It clung to every dry patch and enhanced it and it also creases like crazy! I have been wearing it all day to see if it may get better but whenever I look in the mirror I'm reminded of how bad it looks on me. I do not recommend this foundation if you have any dry patches or mature skin.

Let me start this out by saying I have oily, acne prone skin with semi-large pores on my nose area and I've always struggled for YEARS to find the right product/skincare for me. I've tried everything from drugstore to high end foundation, tried countless primers and setting sprays/powders and never really felt like anything was "worth it". This is seriously the very first foundation that I feel like has the coverage AND staying power I've been looking for all along. I personally don't use any primer or anything else with this, and I am absolutely in LOVE!!! I seriously can't see myself ever trying another foundation again as long as this is around
Might be the only one I use from now on
Sheena from Colorado Springs, CO
I didn't have high expectations for this especially because of the name. I read the reviews saying that others with oily skin can wear this so I purchased it. I'm SO glad I did!!!! I've been wearing it for three days now and it's amazing! I use the flour setting powder instead of setting spray and it has worked wonders for my routine. I definitely recommend checking this out! If you have oily skin you won't be disappointed!!!
I would buy this product again.

Very smooth, great coverage, light feeling on skin.
Feel thick, looks thin.

Overall, I like this foundation. HOWEVER, I had to use a ton just to get the coverage I wanted. It also feels very thick and your skin underneath must be moisturized for it to not sink into your pores funky.

I needed a new foundation after trying about 10. I was getting burnt out trying to find the right one. I've heard of this brand from Jeffree Star, and thought I'd try it out. I love this foundation. I have oily skin and trouble finding my shade match, but I really like how this turned out. It's bright and doesnt make me look too shiny.
Dewey and comfortable

I have tried everything imaginable and I've never come across anything so doing yet light weight and moisturizing. Perfection
No! Just No!
Blondie from Enterprise,AL
Blotchy! Doesn't spread well with sponge or brush! Big mistake. 3 stars for wide skin color range and nice that the foundation is in a pump format. I have dry skin and this is not dry skin friendly. The boxing and packaging of these products is adorable!
makes my skin flawless like MAGIC
Emily from TX
LOVE THIS! It's truly like magic. Liquid-like formula makes you think it will spread thin and no coverage, but NOT AT ALL ! It covers everything its insane. I don't even bake/use concealer anymore. Full coverage and so lightweight i always forget i'm wearing it. Lasts really well in humidity too.
Fae from Orlando
I got this because I wanted something new to play with. I never really like luminous or glass like foundation finishes. But this isn't to luminous or glasslike. It's a good mixture. It's not full converse like it says but easy to build to it. And honestly mixed with their setting powder my skin looks flawless and airbrushed.
Awesome product, but not what I expected
Chy Chy the MUA from Arkansas
I use the product with a beauty blender and I was hoping for a MATTE look and didn't get it right away. I had to use another brand of translucent powder to press in.
Liz from Stockton
It left my skin looking absolutely amazing. It matches my skin perfectly. It looks stunning when paired with their flour setting powder.
Color scale off....

Terrible the neutral is not a true neutral I use fenty beauty all the time and I wanted a secondary but this is not it. Will be returning
I would recommend!
Alexa from Chicago, Illinois
I have only used this foundation twice, but so far it's a great foundation. The only reason I am giving it 4/5 stars is because I grabbed a shade too dark for my face which is ultimately my fault and I can see this foundation being more for people with oily skin, you do have to work fast in blending this foundation. It also work best with their own brands flour translucent powder! I tried using my Coty airs-pun powder but it looks way better with beauty bakeries powder. Overall, the coverage is great & is a long wearing foundation.
Melissa from Birmingham, AL
I followed the recommendation on Beauty Bskerie's website for my correct shade and it was a bit too dark. I will order the next shade down with my undertone as soon as it is back in stock. However... This foundation has some staying power. (I did use Milk Hydrogrip primer, the Beauty Bskerie powder, and a setting spray). I follow the same routine with all foundations and this one had a beautiful finish and lasted all day. It is a bit more coverage than I usually use but I didn't mind.
MJ from Los Angeles
The shade range is incredible. Use the shade finder because it's pinpoint accurate. The coverage is closer to full but can be built. It dries to a somewhat matte finish which means proper hydration is mandatory, especially if you're over 40 and/or leaning towards dry skin. It applies easily with a sponge and doesn't dry too fast. I really like it.
Amy L from US
I wouldnt necessarily say my skin is dry, but I can only make this work if I use my heaviest moisturizers and primers underneath. Otherwise it looks cakey and sinks into my pores. Even still the finished look is more matte than expected

Amazing! Makes you looked airbrushes and flawless. Keeps oil at bay and this is coming from a very oily skinned girl!
