Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

I finally bought this primer after seeing it and seeing my friends use it. I pre-read all of the ratings and I thought that it would grear for my oily skin but I thought wrong. This primer made my skin break out so bad and I know for a fact it was this specific product because I used my regular too faced born this way foundation over it. Do not use this if you have acne prone skin!

Works For Me

By Dege

Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

I thought the Rimmel mattifying Primer was good but this one is even better! No complaints! Using this coupled with setting my t-zone with translucent powder before foundation has been great!!! It takes forever for me to get oily with this and my face is a greaseball for the most part!

Very average

Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

I bought this primer because I was in search of something matte that would keep my makeup on all day. I have a SUPER oily T zone and really needed something that would control my oils. I love the Infallible Pro Matte foundation, but this product is very mediocre. I have huge pores, and it does nothing to blur them or fill them in, but I don't think it claims to do that anyway. It keeps me matte for a while, but during the summer especially it starts to break down my foundation to the point where I can wipe it off. I was a little disappointed because I thought it would work best with the Infallible Pro Matte foundation, but I think it actually worked better with my other foundations. Not sure I will be purchasing this again.

Pretty good

Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

This product is pretty good..it works OK I've used some I like better than this one just because I don't like how it goes on it's a little runny when it comes out of the tube and I like the ones that are more creamy and it makes my foundation cake up a bit when I use it. Not my favorite so I use what I have left when I run out of the other kids..it's OK but probably won't purchase for a second time

Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

Not worth the price, since I get the same result with my rimmel stay matte primer which is 1/3 of the price

Not good

By B

Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

I put this on at 7:30 in the morning and had to blot by 11, and I don't have that oily of skin. Also I have very large pores and this did nothing for them. I will be returning this.

Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

I have oily combo skin and in the summer/humidity I get oily FAST! I have been on the hunt for a primer and a system to make me matte all day long. This is one of the few primers that has worked!! I put my makeup on in the mid morning and take it off around 11:30pm or midnight and I'm just then starting to get my oils to show — and no blotting, no reapplying makeup! Getting oily used to happen by 2pm. What an improvement!! Now I have also been following the trick that the Clinique makeup artist at Ulta taught me....
    1) put on primer
    2) Powder your face, especially areas where you get oily. You are building a layer for the oils to hit first before getting to your foundation.
    3) Setting Spray - use a few sprays over what you just powdered to set that layer.
    4) Foundation and Concealer — if you use a water based primer, use a water based foundation — if you used a silicone based concealer use a silicone based foundation. Oil (silicone) and water don't mix. They will slip slide around against one another.
    5) Bake undereyes, if you do that, and powder the rest of your face
    6) continue with the rest of your makeup
    7) sweep of excess powder from baking
    8) Setting Spray to seal the deal!

May be a lot of steps but All together they help to form a layer to block the oils from coming through. Hallelujah!! Finally!! I'm not a dripping mess!

Using these steps makes using this primer really shine a silicone the great mattifying product it is. Hope this helps one of you as much as this person's tips helped me. Good luck, beauties!

Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

It's one of those makeup products that does the job but it's not that great. It's not worth that much of a hype. The packaging is travel friendly, I'll give L'Oréal props for that. But overall the product doesn't really last that long like it says it does but it's ok. It's one of those primers that are good if you're going out for 3 or 4 hours but no longer than that.

Comments about L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte Lock Primer:

So I have combo skin and lemme tell you. By the 6th hour I was an oily mess even with good foundation. So I tried this out and only put it in the areas that need a little help where foundation tends to just slip away and I AM PLEASED Y'ALL. Foundation is NOT GOING NOWHERE! I would recommend getting some blotting paper or something if you're having the same issues but the point is that the makeup is staying and not slipping away into a dark abyss. I like it.
