Add a sun kissed glow to you shower routine. With sweet almond oil, the St. Tropez In-Shower Gradual Tan is clinically proven to hydrate skin for up to 24 hours, while developing a natural looking streak-free golden glow. Specially formulated to lather and glide evenly and smoothly over wet skin. This lotion uses a 100% natural tanning agent and is also paraben, sulphate and phthalate free. After showering, the self tan actives will naturally start to work, developing gradually and deepening with regular reapplication within the shower.

Sophie's Pro Tips: Always start from the bottom of your body and work your way up. To tan your hands- Once you have covered your whole body and your hands have been washed, rub the back of your hand over a large area of the body that has been covered well. This is an excellent product to maintain a real and a self-tan. TOP TIP- Waiting longer than 3 minutes will give you a slightly deeper glow.
Fully cleanse and wash in a warm shower. With the shower off, generously apply the product in circular motions with your hands to wet skin to create an even coverage. Wash palms after application. Wait 3 minutes. Fully rinse off with warm water only. Gently dry yourself, before getting dressed. After showering, the self-tan actives will naturally start to work, developing gradually and deepening with regular reapplication within the shower.

I do really like this product, although I would only get it in the Medium Color, the Light Color I did not see a difference. I do like to pair it with the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Everyday Body Lotion as well if I want results a little quicker

Comments about St. Tropez In-Shower Gradual Tan:

I received a sample of this and was surprised at how well this works! It gives a very even tan that's streak-free and natural looking. The tan is gradual and can be built up. Usually takes me 2-3 uses to get to the shade that I want. Just hate the 3 minutes of standing in the shower waiting.

        It's... just ok

        By Ranlynn

        from Lexington KY

Comments about St. Tropez In-Shower Gradual Tan:

I got this in a kit with the 3-Hour Express Mousse a while back. I mostly use it to even out my legs after I've used the mousse but need to shave my legs again. The Express Mousse is great, but after shaving I lose color. I use this after and it does help. I don't use it in the shower though. I get out, towel dry, apply it evenly, let it sit about 5-10 minutes (but not dry) then rinse it off. It works to touch up. I haven't used it when I didn't already have a "base tan" from the mousse... this is just how I use the product. For that, it does work.

I put the lotion on the bottom half of my legs and they were so itchy I could not sleep at all. Never gave a hint of color either.

Comments about St. Tropez In-Shower Gradual Tan:

Alright. I saw all the bad reviews of this product but it was on sale so I figured I'd try it out, considering how much I hate waiting 8 hours and then rinsing off a guide color with self tanners. I tried this tanner and knew I needed to review it myself. I'm a fairly pale person, freckly with auburn hair, and even so I bought the darker color of this. I exfoliated and whatever in the shower, then used this product at the end. Waited three minutes, rinsed it off, got out and patted dry. Let me tell you that at first I saw absolutely NO results. But as the day went on, the tan developed and I was a lot less unhappy. SO, heres the tl;dr point of my review:
1.) Buy the darker color, no matter how pale you are.
2.) This is buildable - use it the first day, then the second if you need more color, and even a third and fourth if you want more color.
3.) The smell is ridiculously bad when you apply it, but the smell isn't bad anymore once you rinse off. I showered a couple of hours ago and I can't smell it anymore at all.
4.) Don't use this on your face. I don't have sensitive skin and it broke me out.
5.) If you're not flexible, don't plan on using this on your back. You'll miss entire sections and it'll be obvious.
        6.) This doesn't streak :)

        Happy in-shower tanning!!!

        Not worth it

        By jmac93

Comments about St. Tropez In-Shower Gradual Tan:

I bought this during the 21 days of beauty sale so I'm not too upset about it, but I feel like this barely made my skin any darker. Maybe the day I applied it I would have more of a glow, but if you skip applications even once, it goes away.

Comments about St. Tropez In-Shower Gradual Tan:

It is not cheap and I was expecting something better. I have very light skin and I read the reviews so I bought the medium color. It is kind of annoying to stand with the shower off while waiting for it to do whatever it needs to do. Also, it doesn't lather and foam like it shows in the commercial, it barely foams up. I wouldn't buy it again. I thought it would be good as i am normally bad at self-tanning with a mitt, but this is not effective even for crazy pale skin.

How do you determine what shade to get? On your skin tone or how dark you want to get?

If you want a light glow, choose Light. If you want a deeper glow, choose Medium. The product develops according to your natural skin tone, so anyone can use either product.

In-Shower Gradual Tan provides moisturizing benefits. We do not recommend applying an additional moisturizer, as this could negatively affect product performance. It would be OK to apply moisturizer the next day. We hope this info helps!

Should I towel dry before applying this product? It should I be soaking wet in the shower?

          • Staff Expert

            A:

Your skin should be wet. Here are the full usage directions:

Fully cleanse and wash in a warm shower. With the shower off, generously apply the product in circular motions with your hands to wet skin to create an even coverage. Wash palms after application. Wait 3 minutes. Fully rinse off with warm water only. Gently dry yourself, before getting dressed. After showering, the self-tan actives will naturally start to work, developing gradually and deepening with regular reapplication within the shower.

In-Shower Gradual Tan provides moisturizing benefits. We do not recommend applying an additional moisturizer or sunscreen after it, as this could negatively affect product performance. You could certainly use it at night, and then apply sunscreen as usual in the AM, which would allow the color to fully develop overnight. We hope this info helps!
