Great Foundation vs Bad Applicator

By kimmydula

from VA

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint:

This is a nice foundation that gives a good coverage that is buildable to a medium coverage. The color I tried was Natural Ivory, and it does match my cool fair skin tone. If you have warm fair skin, I believe the first fair color has more warmth to it. It does last, and is hydrating. My biggest complaint with this product is the applicator that plunges back into the bottle. If you use that, and have skin contact on it, you are then setting up a breeding medium for staph. We all have staph aureus on our skin, but I don't want to grow it and put more on my face! I used a q-tip and got the product off the sponge applicator. it took 3 or 4 q-tips to get enough out without cross contamination, which was a pain. But otherwise you would really have to trash this in 2-3 months, or risk a staph infection.

Pretty awesome!

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint:

Definitely a natural coverage but can be built up to a medium coverage! Love the wear time and the natural finish it leaves. Sucks that it had a bad shade range though. Would recommend if you can get it!

:( orange

By Cricket

from California

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint:

I used the neutrogena shade finder online and asked an Ulta associate. Both suggested natural beige which seemed right. Sadly when I applied it with the applicator, before I began blending it was already turning orange. I blended anyway and when I saw my face, it made me want to make America great again. Did feel moisturizing. Returned for Maybelline fit me dewy and smooth which I recommend!

By Pamela

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint:

I wasnt super impressed with this foundation. I had light coverage and appeared patchy. Also it appeared the bottle had been opened there was foundation already around edges and it did not seem full. Im glad it was on sale.

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint:

it caused red and white bumps around my nose and mouth. when I stopped using this product, the bumps faded and when I tried it again, they got worsen, so im pretty sure it was this product that caused the bumps. I have also read similar reviews on neutrogena website so im not the only one who has this issue. also oxidizes a lot

    Perfect Finish...But it oxidized!

    By Brynn

    from Michigan

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint:

This honestly would have been my holy grail foudation. The finish and feel was perfect. But the lightest shade was already a little too dark plus this foundation oxidized more than any other foundation I have ever used. Literally turns about two shades darker. Because of this, I can't see myself repurchasing.

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint:

Tried this product on an influencer's recommendation as a dupe for La Mer. Never tried La Mer, but I wouldn't spend $110 on foundation, either. What I discovered is that it's a lovely foundation, it wears so naturally, like you aren't wearing makeup, but it makes your skin feel hydrated and fresh without looking overly dewy. As an oily skin/acne-prone gal, this appealed to me. Applied at 7 a.m., went out into the sun for awhile, came in and powdered around 2 p.m. By 5 p.m. my makeup was beginning to break down, but not horrible. Ended the day at 10, and my foundation was toast. This is not a long-wearing foundation for oily skin people. This is a great foundation for a natural, light-weight finish when you want people to think you were born looking fabulous.

      Really liking it

      By DalkeyGirl

      from Madison WI

Comments about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint:

I have very dry to dry skin with the type of rosacea that has visible capillaries... and I have LOTS of visible capillaries. My skin is fair to light... with lots of red (in case I hadn't mentioned it) and lots of dryness. I don't wear a lot of makeup, I don't really know how to apply it properly, and well... I'm kinda lazy.

As for this foundation - it sinks in, covers up the red, doesn't crease or become patchy... it almost feels like a second skin. My only drawback right now is just getting the correct color to match my normal paleness. :) definitely recommend trying this if you have dry skin!
