Most Helpful Positive Review Curls and curls some more
Let's just say my hair is a little fried and damaged from going from brown to red to blonde back to dark brown. I was looking for something to make my frizzy mess of curls into something a little more fluffy and sexy, well between the shampoo and conditioner and the microfiber towel that comes it the set my curls have life again and fortunately for my husband he can't keep his hands out of them unfortunately he messes them up 🤔
Most Helpful Critical Review Oh Yes this is a must have if you have short natural hair.TT

Honestly I thought it was a great deal when I saw the towel was also in there. I got it home and the towel intended for your hair was the size of a hand towel. I was not happy to see that. It definitely is not meant for anyone with shoulder-length or longer hair.
Didn't think it would hit me
Curly Mom from Wisconsin
First 2 weeks using my curls were poppin. I have been losing a LOT more hair than usual and thought it was stress. I've always heard these were good products and have decided to give them a try despite the rumors. Well here we are, with a handful of hair and very dry and hard to manage curls
waste of money

This product works great at first but can cause horrible reactions a few months in. Some say this ruins their curls, makes their hair fall out, dries it out, or causes allergic reactions. There are too many testimonies and pictures about this on Facebook groups and Twitter to ignore it. Beware!!!!
Wish I could keep using it but I had an allergic reaction!!
TallulahLove from Clarkston, MI
Used as directed. Worked great. Hair looked amazing. Unfortunately my eyes started swelling and I broke out into hives. This was on my third day of using the products. Very sad I cannot continue to use this as I noticed a big difference in my hair. It is currently in a ziplock bag. Not able to return it because it is used. I gave 5 stars because it did work as advertised for me until I had the reaction.
Great way to start curly girl method
Ashley from Muscle Shoals AL
I bought this because it was curly girl approved and I am happy with how my hair has turned out after straightening my hair for years. These products have definitely helped with the transition.
Not worth the price
Isaias from Los Angeles
The cleanser and conditioner work like any other shampoo and conditioner. My hair doesn't feel any b different and the curls didn't pop out like everyone else says. It's not bad but it didn't do anything different, which is why it is not worth the price.
Curly/Wavy Hair Staple
AnomalyGirl from Palm Coast, FL
This is the best hair care line for curly or wavy hair in my opinion. The products smell terrific and they are non-drying, very moisturizing. My hair can be very dry and brittle and the conditioner works to make my hair soft and manageable. The shampoo is also very moisturizing. A bit pricey, but I pay more for the way it makes me wavy hair behave.
Love this product
Pam from Colorado
I have used DevaCurl for 6 years. I have fine curly hair, not wavy. I live a dry climate and my hair loves this shampoo. I worked down from Low-Poo to No-Poo. That worked well for me. I get a lot of compliments on my curls!
Love this product!
Larisa from Green, OH
I didn't think a cleanser would work for me. I was wrong. I love the softness of my curls. I've never been happier with them. It has been an ongoing battle that I never won trying to love my hair. I've tried many products of all kinds and this is the first one to work for me.

I had high hopes from so many rave reviews but this was not for me. I have fine 2b-3a curls and it seemed too heavy for my hair. My hair was weighed down and actually less curly, I ended up giving to a friend with thicker coarse hair. If you have fine hair, maybe only get the travel size first if you really want to try, for me it was a waste of money.
Serious hair loss with Deva
Jacqui from Connecticut
First the one positive: Devacurl products smell divine!!! And now for the negatives: I have super fine curls, not much hair to start with. After six months plus of using Devacurl products exclusively my hair stylist expressed serious concern that there was something medically wrong with me because I had lost so much hair. My scalp was clearly visible and the hair that was left was limp and much of the curl had fallen out. Well, I did see my doc and received a clean bill of health so that wasn't it. A quick google search and I discovered dozens upon dozens of others had noticed significant hair loss after using Devacurl so I wasn't alone; I immediately threw away every single Devacurl product I owned. Fast forward almost a year later and my curls are finally back to looking healthy and my hair is 100% thicker and almost back to what it was. I realize everyone is different but if I can save someone else the heartache of losing their curls, and half their hair, with Devacurl then this review will have done its job.
Not for fine, curly hair
Gabby from Florida
I was trying to start a new curly hair journey. I had been reading for so long about Deva Curly products being amazing and said let me take a chance on this. I did take a quiz on their site to see what they would recommend and these were recommended for my hair type. I have 3B curls. Honestly, I would not recommend this to anyone with a similar hair type. I understand that your hair is slowly going to adapt, but I waited a few months, and I could not deal with how much it weighed down my hair. It was very oily and greasy after washing and letting is dry. I'd diffuse it at times, and that didn't do too much for me. My hair didn't feel clean at all. It also left build up on my hair. I started to only used the conditioner with a different shampoo as the conditioner was actually really nice, but for me it worked better with a more traditional shampoo. This is probably better for someone with thicker hair because it can handle the amount of moisture that would come from both products.
The towel is great, but you could also just use an old t-shirt and get the same result. So, it is more of a personal preference on that.
Stacy from Fort mill
This shampoo set stretched my curls out and made my hair more straight instead of curlier. The mini towel is the only good thing in this set.
This is the best product for curly hair. Once you try it the

The product smells good. You only need a small amount and it lasts a long time. You definitely get your money's worth using this.

This product was not what I was hoping for. It didn't make my hair any less frizzy and the same towel was nothing more than an over priced dusting cloth

Works great for my biracial daughters hair. Noticed a big difference in just one wash.
Hands down the best i've Had!

I tried other brands, even less expensive brands, but they always dried out my hair. Devacurl is different. It leaves my curls soft and hydrated. It is pricey, but worth it for your hair. The more you use it, the better your hair becomes! I'll never go back. I'm home to stay.

I was so excited to try these products out, after using cantu products for a month now in my transition with the curly girl method. I should have stuck with cantu as it is 1000 times better and cheaper. This was a total huge waste of my money and I can't return it because I think I lost the original box. The shampoo and conditioner smell absolutely nasty and sour. The shampoo caused instant flakes and dandruff and huge snarls as well as made me lose hair. The conditioner did nothing but worsen what the shampoo did. My hair was clean before. I was using this as a low poo in between wash and I ended up having to do my hair again - rewash properly. I also noticed their other products are just drying out my hair. I am thinking this whole line is a bit of scam and way overpriced.

I like this shampoo. Makes my hair look and feel great same day I wash it. Next day it is super oily. I will continue to use it and see what happens.

Used it only once but my hair was definitely softer!

Best Shampoo & Conditioner
Fe from Augusta, ME
I wash my hair three times a week and this shampoo and conditioner does not weigh my hair down at all. I found that this product brings out my natural curls with little to no effort. I was nervous about the no suds shampoo at first but it turns out it's amazing! Super soft and bouncy curls, A+ from me.
Mm from St Louis
Co-wash smells disgusting. Weighed my 3a hair down horribly.
Mel from PA
I purchased this because I have naturally wavy hair and it was recommended to me by my stylist. However the smell is TERRIBLE. It smells like straight up clorox bleach when I was washing my hair and it lingered.
