Most Helpful Positive Review The best hot wax Sometimes it doesn't get all the hair, but I just redo one more time, then done. The best that I have seen. I buy in bulk.
Most Helpful Critical Review Spare Your Stove Top I would suggest buying the warmer and not using your stove top if your stove top is half decent. I found it very difficult not to spill over while stirring and I got strings of way ALL OVER the stove while going from pan to body. The stove definitely got scratched when I was trying to remove the wax even though i was trying to be very careful not to do so.
Reviewed by 246 customers Works well to remove hairs but is a pain to use 3

I've used the parissa wax warmer with this which made it easier since it didn't cool while being used. It was still super difficult to use. No matter how thick of a layer I put on, it wouldn't come off it one piece. I would have to peel up the wax basically hair by hair which was really time consuming and painful. It did work really well to remove the hair though. It also has a really unpleasant scent that I can't get past.
Best wax for home use!! 5
Elizabeth from Paradise Valley, AZ
With COVID lockdowns, I needed to start doing my Brazilians at home. I tried several products, and nothing was adequately removing the hair, and most products have sticky residue. Parissa, on the other hand, takes almost every hair. That's a tough area to wax by yourself, but I can get completely bare with just the wax, warmer, and a spatula. It's very easy to take off, and any drips that remain are easily removed with the azulene oil. I highly recommend this!!! The price is great for such good quality, as well.
Only wax I will use 5
Bella01 from Phoenix AZ
This wax is the best if you have short, coarse and really stubborn hairs. Makes your skin so smooth and doesn't hurt.
Best of the best 5
Libby from Maryland
I've purchased many other at home hair removal kits and this is the best one. I have very corse hair and this is the only wax that get it ALL OUT.
Messy and does not work 1
AngelMommie from IL
This product is a mess and does not remove all hairs. The wax smells weird and does not spread smoothly. Once cooled on the skin it crumbles and can't be peeled off easily. The enclosed 'after waxing' spray only made skin oily and did not remove residue or cool skin. Returned and will not recommend.
Messy and does not work 1
AngelMommie from IL
This product is a mess and does not work. It half dries on the spreader-stick and doesn't go onto skin smoothly. Once dry on the skin it doesn't come off in one piece but crumbles and most of the hair is left behind along with little wax bits that need to be scraped or plucked off. Tried to wipe the residue off with the enclosed 'after' wax spray, but that just made my skin oily and still left wax bits stuck to my skin. Will return and never buy again.
I wouldn't buy this product again. 1
Amber from Florida
I wouldn't buy this wax again. It melts down easily, but it is a pain to get off. It's literally like pouring candle wax on your skin and trying to peel it away. I waxed HOURS ago and the "strip" broke into so many pieces that are STILL stuck to my skin. Not to mention it pulled my skin and LEFT most of the hair there.
I'm absolutely buying this again 4
Joi from LA
I usually use the wax kits that involve strips and a lot of pain. This was a lot easier to use, less mess, and less pain. It worked and it was cheaper than my usual option.
Great for a starter 5

If you're a chicken like me you would wanna start by doing small areas one by one first. That way you can see how the product works and how to do a better job next time.
Does not remove most hairs 1
Tati from Chino hills
This is actually the worst wax I've tried in a really long time. You have to apply it boiling hot for it to pick up any hairs and it cools insanely fast, I have to reheat it on the stove for every section. When it does remove hairs, it doesn't remove all of them and leaves patches hair. I do not recommend at all
Great at-home hair removal (no warmer needed) 5
Rachel from New Haven, CT
I have the worst issues shaving my underarms (redness, ingrown hairs, grows back too quickly), so I started getting them waxed a few years back. Eventually I got sick of going to the salon. Starting using Parissa hot wax a couple years ago. Works great on both underarms and upper lip (haven't tried other areas). I find I'm able to warm it just fine on my gas stove with no mess. And when my kitchen was under construction, I used our grill to warm it! No issues. Takes some practice finding the right consistency, but once you get the hang of it, it's great. I think the smell is nice and haven't had any skin reaction issues. The pan of wax lasts a long time (a few months?) so it's way more economical than going to the salon every few weeks.
Used in conjunction with wax warmer 5
Sam from Kentucky
I used this with the wax warmer this brand also sells and it worked great. It did take a while to heat up using the warmer but I found that the wax did not get too hot like you can do with the microwavable brands. This did not break me out.
Great for beginners 5
Ash from Tampa, Florida
I'll admit I was hesitant to buy this at first bc it had some mixed reviews and I've never used or been waxed before, not even professionally. I bought this solely for my upper lip and it was fairly easy to use, just takes a little getting used to. It wasn't super messy and the wax came off my skin really easily (I didn't use baby powder before applying it), I didn't even have to use the oil that came with it to take off the left over wax. It was a little painful but that was most likely due to my poor technique and not ripping it off fast enough. It picked up most of the hairs. Overall, I liked the product and would buy again/recommend to a friend :)

I bought this for my eyebrows & it got the job done.. for sure need smaller wooden sticks but it got all the hairs & leaves your skin so smooth afterwards!! Literally looked like I just got them professionally done!
Good for what it is 5

I'm lazy & prefer the microwave wax. But during the lockdown, I completely ran out of my usual & found some of this in the old stuff I was hoarding. Heating this up w some aluminum foil under it on the stoveeye (weird I know, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do), & besides it's not being the ideal method, it probably works better than my microwave wax as far as pulling out almost all the hairs on my face in one swipe (NOTHING gets all the cactus-spine man-beard hairs I have in a few spots-have to pluck those). It smells like pine rosin, which doesn't bother me. Like that it doesn't have ingredients that break me out. I can't use ones w strips without pulling off my skin. This did the job.

It doesn't do anything, doesn't take off hair on lip.
God awful 1
S from Denver
This wax is the worst wax I've ever used. I wax professionally, so I know HOW to wax. I forgot to purchase more wax before my city shut down, so on a whim I bought this so I could order the wax I usually use. This was HORRIBLE. It chipped every single time. And I tried different application methods, removing it at different stages of it hardening, etc. this was such a disgusting wax. The smell of it was awful, the feeling was awful, and removal was awful. Will never purchase again, and will never recommend this to anyone.
Amazing! But messy 5
Karya from Humboldt
This is amazing! It gets all the hair by the root, I will never use any other at home wax besides this again. I would get the little heater tho cus its messy!

I've been getting Brazilian waxes every 7-8 weeks for the last ten years. I really wanted to keep up my routine despite the quarantine, but had never done waxing at home. After researching various methods / products, I went with this one, and I was glad I did. I was nervous because it said to not do your bikini area if you hadn't waxed before. However, I did a test spot, gave it 24 hours, and all seemed good, so I went forward with the rest of it. It definitely helped that I have been getting waxes at the salon for so long because I at least had some idea what to do. It took a bit longer than the spa, but hey, I got nothin' but time at the moment! And the result wasn't as good either (meaning I missed some hairs), but overall, I'm very happy with the result! If I have to do it again, I would probably spring for the wax warmer. Since I didn't have one, I warmed it on the stove, "double-boiler" style. I put water in a shallow pan and then put the wax cup in the water. It prevented stovetop messes and also allowed for even heating. One annoyance was that I had to stop and reheat the wax several times through the process because it took me so long (another good reason to buy the warmer!).
Recommend it for first time diy waxers 5
Dani from Washington DC
The product worked amazingly, especially being my first time doing it at home. The wax goes on easily, it's practically painless, and easy clean up.
I heat it on the stove, which can be difficult. I will most likely buy their heating plate for convenience. After removing the wax from the heat, I recommend letting it sit for a couple of minutes as it is extremely hot! I would test it first before applying to skin. Once ready, grab a bit and let it cool for a few seconds on the stick. If the wax isn't in heat, it takes about 7 minutes before you will have to reheat for the perfect condition.
Overall recommend this product! Doesn't leave any bumps and makes waxing at home easy.
Nice product 4

I loved the wax itself but smaller sticks could be included for brow areas! Other than that it's great.
Good for routine keep up 4
Kellit from Cartersville ga
I really enjoy this wax for small chin hairs and eyebrows. It definitely grabs the smaller hairs which I like. It's very convenient and easy to use once you have done it a couple times! Have not tried it on my underarms or bikini line but I will say that it pulls out the smallest of hairs so be careful if you have a low pain tolerance in those areas
Do not buy if you are a beginner. 3
mcat from Richmond, VA
I tried to use this to wax my bikini area and I quickly discovered why people pay big money to go to the salon. Unless you are very confident in pulling the wax yourself and know you can do it, do not purchase.
Must Buy!! 5
Beauty Shopper 101 from Richmond, TX
It was my first time trying this wax today and I loved using it! I used it with the wax warmer which you have to purchase separately, but both are worth the purchase. It totally saves you money in the long run, because getting wax services at salons is expensive. The wax got all my hairs out and the oil it comes with left my face smooth. I definitely recommend!!
