Most Helpful Positive Review Love it my fave At the age of 38 my lips are starting to wrinkle. This has caused most of my lip products to spread onto the outside of my lip line. So I just changed to liquid lipsticks. What I have found is that liquid lipsticks make my lips super dry. I recently tried one of these lip glosses and fell in love. The color white Russian can go over any liquid lip without changing the color and adding moisture and minty feel. I thought White Russian would be that nude light color but it ended up functioning well over any other bright lip color. However the lavender shade is a very beautiful nude color and not purple at all. Overall I love the product because I can use it as a top coat for my liquid lipsticks or as a moisturizing gloss.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not as good as their other lip glosses I was excited to get this on sale but was totally disappointed. I got Kir Royale, and I was expecting a full color lip gloss that was like The Gabby polish just without the glitter. What I got was this sheer gloss that was only a fraction of the color it was supposed to be.
The gloss itself is very thin for a buxom gloss, but still has that lovely buxom tingle that I love. When I applied the gloss it went on smooth like I expected, but when I looked closer, all the color had seeped into the fine lines on my lips (esp along the edge) and it kind of looked awful. I thought maybe it's because I applied too thin of a layer, so I applied another layer and all that did was accentuate the lines even more.
Maybe I got a defective one or an old one, but this is not a good product. When someone says lip cream, I expect a full color, liquid lipstick type of color, not a sheer gloss with color in it. Maybe my expectations are too high, but come on buxom, this is your same old gloss that's not mixed properly or doesn't have the correct amount of color added to it. With Gabby and Brandi, I never had the color seep directly into my fine lines and make me look older or like I don't know how to apply lip products. It literally looks like a clear gloss on my lips with this feathered crackled look of color.
I'm going to try it again later and see if it gets any better, if not then I'm gonna try another color or just return it. Good luck to those who bought this, I hope my experience isn't your own.
I'm attaching 2 pictures of a swatch on my hand to show you what happened, but the camera kind of blurs the extent of the color seeping into the lines because of the glossiness, and the color is slightly darker than in the pics (natural sunlight and all).

I bought this lipgloss from an Ulta employee's recommendation and I was beyond excited to try it but for an expensive lipgloss, I feel like Buxom fell a little flat. I love the minty smell and tingly feeling from the gloss, it looks INCREDIBLE but the texture is a little more sticky than I would like, and especially under a mask, the stickiness is pretty annoying. I prefer something slicker that fades away naturally like the Ulta lip oil so I would pick that over this price-wise and texture-wise. That being said there is also an awesome color selection and the gloss has the right amount of pigment so there's something for everyone.
Also, White Russian (the color I got) is very very pale and looks like a milky pink-cream so don't expect it to be translucent or you might be disappointed!

this wasn't my favorite. i was thinking that when it said "plumping" it would be like the too faced lip injection. maybe that's my own fault for assuming, but i really see no difference. the color is a little too subtle for me considering how potent it looks in the tube itself, but it's good for a little dazzle. i do love how sticky and glossy it is, so if that's not what you're going for then stay away. i would probably buy it again but in an everyday color or a clear just for the shine.

I have so many lip glosses, yet I keep coming back to Buxom and keep coming back to this color. White Russion is pretty and goes with everything. It even brightens my look on all my Zoom calls. I highly recommend.

It has a slight tingle but I wouldn't say it plumps at all. However, it is still a really nice lippie so I'm not mad about it.

I got this in peach daiquiri which is such a beautiful, peachy-nude color with lots of shine. The only thing is that I didn't see a plumping effect at all, as advertised. Luckily it's not why I got the lipgloss.

I have thin lips and was not expecting a miracle, but there was no plumping; some tingling, maybe a little redness, but that's pretty much the extent of my experience. Color was spot on, but there are better, less expensive lip creams available. Buy at your own risk.

This is a perfect shade of lipgloss for any skin tone. It does have a slight tingle to add a bit of plump to your pout.

I. Love. This. Eyeliner. It is a little smudgeable when you put it on but not too much since it stays where you put it. I don't have to worry about it coming off until I take it off. The best thing about this eyeliner? The color. It is sooo difficult to find a black-brown. Black is just too harsh and the browns are usually too light and/or too reddish. Call me Goldilocks because this one is just right! Will buy this again and again!

I purchased this gloss hoping for a little plump - my lips aren't thin, but they also aren't full. The shade was pretty, I liked the gloss and could feel a little tingling after I put it on, but my lips didn't look any plumper. I'll keep using the shade I purchased (French Martini (plum)), but won't be buying this brand of plumper again.

Absolutely LOVE this lip gloss. I'm a lip gloss junkie, I'm all about neutrals and don't wear lipstick. Of course I'd like to have a little more volume on my lips and this does the trick. It tingles but doesn't burn, I think it feels great. It's not going to make a huge difference in size but it does help and this is the only gloss I've found that will actually stay for several hours before reapplying. Most of them seem to fade off within the first 30 minutes and this lasts a long time. Only brand I continue to run out of and keep buying! Definitely recommend!!

I love Buxom lip polishes & creams, they are the BEST!!! White russian is one of my favs with celeste on top looks awesome. There glosses are just awesome and I hope they will be available for a long time to come.

I think gloss is a little subjective because everyone has a different preference as far as the formula (ie: thick and sticky vs. thin). This one is definitely on the sticky side, so if you prefer to wear your hair down, your strands will stick! If you prefer the thicker, stickier glosses and you love that sweet mint flavor, this could be your go-to gloss too. I picked this up in Hot Toddy (beigey nude) and Rose Julep (pinky rose mlbb shade), and both look great with my medium tan olive skin. While my lips don't seem any plumper since I started using these, they do seem to be keeping my dry lips hydrated, which is what I ultimately need in a gloss. I'm going to try to stretch these out to the next sale, glad I also picked up some Nyx butter glosses during the last sale so I don't use these up too quickly!

Honestly it's a little pricey (which is why I tell myself to stop buying it) but I always somehow end up getting it again😩. The finish is amazing and it feels so nice on your lips. Theres just something about this lipgloss that I can't seem to find in anything else .. I def recommend it ! < 33

The rose julep, I have not used yet.
I have had wild orchid on for about 20 minutes now.
I went off of the photos as far as what wild orchid would look like for my complexion.
It's way off compared to the photos for each shade.
I wear urban decay all nighter liquid foundation color 2.5 in the winter. 3.25 in the summer.
I love wild crazy colors for eyeshadow and eyeliner.
I have very light blonde hair and green eyes.
Wild orchid on me looks purple and VERY clear at the same time. The photo leads you to believe there will be more pigment. It's not. The lip cream (what I purchased because I can't stand lip gloss)
Is still glossy looking..but not terrible.
Maybe I'll get used to it.
I prefer all my lipsticks to be matte in color (NO SHINE WHATSOEVER) I hate shiny lips on me.
I still have yet to see it "plump" or do anything that would leave me to truly believe this would happen.
I got these half off. I'll keep them. Not worth the trouble. But if I payed full price. I would return.
I think there is peppermint tingly feeling like my peppermint lip balm. But that's it. No plumping actually happens.

I got moscow mule and its such a pretty color! It has the perfect amount of pigment. Its a little sticky which isn't a texture that I dislike. I love the minty feeling on my lips! One of my favorites!
