Most Helpful Positive Review Good Performing Mascara I like how smooth this mascara applies. My lashes look so long and gives me decent volume. It's no so bad even if you cry or get it wet, as long as you don't touch it. The moment you do, it doesn't dissolve or smears, it crumples like wet toilet paper. This is the same when you're removing it. It comes off in pieces. This is good if you can work with it, but to me it's annoying and makes removal difficult. It's a trade off for great looking lashes.
Most Helpful Critical Review Terrible Mascara This mascara is terrrible. I've been using Clinique high impact waterproof for years and loved everything about it except as a contact wearer it irritates my eyes. So I read the reviews about the high impact curling mascara and they sounded promising so I bought it. I used it twice and I'm throwing it away. It clumps my lashes together when applying and you can't do a 2nd coat very well because it just gets flakey & chunky. Once you get passed all of that it looks nice on your lashes. However taking this off is a nightmare!! It comes off in flakes and the first time I had flakes in my eyeballs. It takes forever to remove it and I had black chunks and flakes all around my eyes trying to get it off. I used my normal eye make up remover the first time and it didn't work well. The 2nd time I used water and it was easier but it took lots of work. I've never had this problem with the waterproof version. I will say the only thing I liked was it didn't irritate my eyes.

Yes it is challenging to put on and take off, but it works. Take your time when putting it on. Make sure to not have excess on the wand. Start from the roots and swoop upward. You can swoop a couple times and have cotton swabs handy for clean up. The result is more volume and curl to my straight blond eye lashes. It is a little more work to clean off. I use make up remover first and then finish off with warm water while washing my face. A gentle use of a wash cloth helps. Eye lashes won't come out unless your rough. You can use fingers tips to gently pull off the clumps by the roots as well. I tried going back to regular mascara, but I missed the volume and curl I was getting from this. It's worth a little extra work.

I had high hopes but, omg just no. The wand/brush is dynamite, like seriously awesome, but this formula is sticky and clumpy and you just can't work with it.

The only way to remove this mascara is with warm water +/- face wash, you can't use makeup remover. I feel like I'm pulling out my eyelashes every night in order to remove all the mascara.

This mascara is very odd It worked okish for a couple of weeks The tube dried out very quickly You can only apply one coat, its sticky and not the easiest to remove Would not recommend

I've tried many mascaras before - with many that smear or flake - and I always come back to High Impact Curling by Clinique. I have very oily skin, especially my eyelids. This mascara stays on ALL day (no raccoon eyes!) And the best part is that it's easy to remove. I don't need eye makeup remover, my face wash easily takes it off without aggressive rubbing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - mascaras twice the price don't even come close to comparing.

Product goes on well - not clumpy. It wears great throughout the day and I really thought I would be pleased with this mascara. I use a high-end eye makeup and mascara remover but this stuff hangs around and flakes even after using a mascara remover and washing my face. I'm not sure why this is happening - I've never have seen this happen before after years of using different mascaras.

I love love love this mascara! I've been using it for as long as I can remember. It doesn't get clumpy when applying like so many others and it comes off easily without tons of makeup remover - quick makeup wipe and gone! Love the shape of the wand too. And at under $20 I actually can afford to replace it regularly without feeling guilty about the cost. Overall great mascara!

I do like this mascara, little goes a long way. Be careful not to go over lashes too much, just a quick swoop at the roots and touch the tips to extend

I've been using this for yeaaars! I already have long lashes but they are really thin, and this mascara gives them volume, seperates them, and makes them even longer. It stays on really well, never smudges. It's very easy to remove (by using warm water). I gotta admit I'm sometimes too lazy and go to sleep with make up on but the mascara's so gente, it has never irritated my eyes.

My first time using this mascara and am so disappointed I spent the money on such a horrible product. It's clumpy when I put it on and it takes me more time to smooth out and brush out my lashes to make them look semi decent.

I tried this because I'm a fan of the regular high impact mascara, but this is horrible. It's clumpy and flakes off all day. I wouldn't recommend this at all.

Not sure if it was maybe an old product that was still on the floor but it was very dried out and clumpy. Flaked off all day and it was difficult to remove. Unfortunately I threw out the receipt and box so I couldn't return it, because I didn't expect a Clinique product not to work out. I do not recommend it at all

I tried this because I've used the original High Impact mascara for a while. This is so thin and yet somehow clumpy. It definitely did nothing to make my eyelashes appear more curled, and I do use a curling tool before I apply mascara so I'm not just relying on the mascara for curl. Perhaps it's the applicator that makes it so useless.
