Paint?!!!

By Mua

from California

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

I bought this thinking it would be similar to the Dior foundation....I was wrong. It smells so bad like paint that I got an instant headache, so I can't even imagine putting it on my face.

Really good!

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

I have been using this foundation for 4 months. I really like it. It's a beautiful natural foundation that is easy to use and I also like the applicator. I love using as an everyday foundation. I have oily skin with a little bit of acne and scaring.

A nice lightweight foundation with some coverage

By Julia

from Massachusetts

Pros

  • Blends Well
  • Good Pigmentation
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Doesn't Stay On

Best Uses

  • Dry Skin
  • Light To Medium Coverage
  • Normal Skin
  • Sensitive Skin

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

I definitely see what went behind the name of this foundation, because it really does give my skin a healthy, natural look. Doesn't cake up, is lightweight, and can almost give that my-skin-but-better look. The coverage is light to medium, but can be built up to almost full. I do have to set this with powder since it is currently summer and it can get oily with the heat, but with powder it looks really nice. Yes, there is a weird almost chocolately smell but it does go away shortly after application. The one issue I have is that it is only about a 6ish hour wear time, which isn't horrible but could be better!

Pretty but...

By Samantha

from Vermont

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

1. Smell is strong
2. The lightest shade is still waaaaaaay too dark for FAIR skin!
3. Enhances look of pores

Otherwise. It's a pretty foundation. Wouldn't wear it for longer than a few hours though !

(Oh! I have oily/combo skin with large pores. If that helps!)

Leaves my skin looking so smooth, but it's too dark!

By Vanadis

from Oregon

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

Literally my holy grail foundation when I need full coverage. I use it with their mineral powder on top, followed by Nyx Matte setting spray. My only complaint is that you guys really need to develop some lighter shades for pale people! It really sucks that I finally found a foundation that doesn't break me out AND stays on all day, but it's two or three shades too dark for my skin tone! Please work on this!

Not reef safe

By Kelli_ATx

from Austin, TX

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

I find it a little surprising that a cruelty free brand that is free of a number of unhealthy ingredients will add a SPF that's not reef safe.

Impressive

By Katie

from Texas

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

I have dry skin with oily t zone and I have texture around my nose. Some foundations exaggerate my texture but this foundation seemed to minimize it. This formula is incredibly light feeling and buildable. It does have a pretty strong makeup-ey smell but it's not too noticeable after long however I know everyone's sense of smell is different. I love the way this foundation just melts into my skin without looking like foundation. I did have to mix two shades to match me and it was an overall good match. I was actually really happy with how bright and natural and smooth my skin turned out.

Cons

  • Poor Coverage

Best Uses

  • Light To Medium Coverage

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

I felt like I missed something. Maybe I didn't shake it enough. I don't know. I had problems blending this out. It's okay but it really lacks coverage and what coverage I could get was patchy due to blending problems.

Patchy & Heavy Fragrance

By CakerBaker

About Me Budget Buyer

Pros

    Cons

    • Difficult To Apply
    • Doesn't Stay On
    • Heavy
    • Not Recommended For Dry Skin
    • Poor Coverage
    • Sticky/Gummy Finish

    Best Uses

    • Light To Medium Coverage

Comments about Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20:

I bought this foundation after watching many review videos showing how well it blends on all kinds of skin types, especially dry. I have normal to dry, mature skin. First of all, the foundation has a strong odor that smells like sunscreen or bug spray that does not go away as the foundation dries down. I could smell it the entire time I was wearing it. Secondly, the coverage is patchy and doesn't last. It did not apply well with my Morphe M439 foundation brush at all. It kept moving around in big patches and after just a couple of hours, my nose, chin and cheeks had worn down and were covered in polka dot pores! It looked awful! I tried to use it a second time using a beauty sponge but the end result was the same. The finish looked dry, flat and had a gummy texture. I looked 10 years older, not a look I was going for. :( I returned it for a refund.
