Shortly after purchasing the lipglosses, I purchased expecto patronum and amortentia in the lip crayons. The online pictures showed no swatches and there were no online reviews so I was unsure about these products at first. But, I took a chance and ended up absolutely loving these shades! They are soft, creamy and pigmented, but when you apply lip balm before the lipsticks they each provide the perfect neutral lip for my pale skin tone, which is extremely hard to find in lip products. Expecto patronum is the perfect everday lip with a more warm brown undertone to the beautiful pink shade, while amortentia is still a perfect everday lip if you dab and rub the lipstick to get a more pink and flushed natural lip. However if you prefer a darker nude, or want a more vibrant pink shades, if you apply these straight on the lip you shouldn't have trouble achieving those colors. But there is the downfall of lightweight plastic packaging which make these slightly difficult to stand up for display, but with a few adjustments they were easy to balance. Also, you can feel these in the lip while wearing them, but they do dry matte, so it isn't a problem for me, but if it bothers you you may not want to purchase these. But overall, I would purchase these two colors over and over again as my main lipsticks. These should not be discontinued for at least a few years.
I bought all 4 colors, and they were all broken off and attached to the inside of the lid when I opened them. I took great care opening them, trying not to turn the stick up as I took off the plastic packaging, but that didn't make a difference and that wasn't what caused it. I was only able to sample one color—the others were so stuck to the inside lid that I could not pry them out— but it was a cute color with good feel and consistency. I agree with other reviewers that the smell could be improved. Smells a bit like a product passed its prime.

When I was little, I played with my gran's makeup. Her lipstick had a very distinct, musty, chemical smell. I want to say it was Merle Norman. This smells the same. Really gross. Like "this can't possibly be good for me to put on," gross. It was also patchy and immediately settled into every line I have. The fact that it is HP is really the only slightly redeeming feature.

Great color but was broken when received and had a hard time getting the product out of the tube. Managed to salvage half (into another container) and using a lip brush to apply.

I got this in the colour amorentia and it's so beautiful. It looks quite natural and feels long lasting. It has a sweet vanilla like scent, which I love. Hopefully Ulta makes more lip crayons like this!

25 year old me loves Harry Potter so when I saw this , I HAD TO HAVE IT ! I was expecting much since I thought it was cheap or something but let me tell you! I love this lipstick! It's so smooth and creamy, lasts allllll day, and it's beautiful ! I bought two more and I think I'm going to buy them all lol.

As a Harry Potter fan I had to give something in this collection a try. I didn't expect much for the quality and bought it for the packaging. To my surprise it's a nice creamy matte crayon with a full coverage payoff. I imagine with a lip liner it would wear all day. Hint hint Ulta. 😉

I got Letter from Hogwarts on a splurge at my local Ulta. I had been thinking about this and Amorentia for awhile. I grabbed the last one in each color and have been wearing daily. My lips are not dried out and it adds the right amount of color without being too intense. Will purchase again!

This lip color is very good. It does not wear off that easily once applied even after eating or washing your face. It can easily last for whole day.

I had to get this just for fun because I'm a hopeless Potter Head + makeup enthusiast and love it when some of my two loves meet! I truly wasn't expecting much, but I seriously am blown away by the shade and quality of this lip crayon! If I could afford it, I'd buy several more just to ensure I'd have them before they go away, with one to "collect!" :( The peachy-brown nude color is so nice and looks good with EVERYTHING! And the creamy formula is just perfect! If you're on the fence about this one, just BUY it, you won't be sorry!!

I love it, it applies easy and stays on for a long time.

This is a beautiful, creamy, natural looking warm nude for someone who does not care for pinky nudes. On me is is a true "my lips but better". The formula is creamy and very comfortable, however I wouldn't recommend this if you have issues with lip products bleeding into your fine lines around your lips because it's so creamy. Also, I love that it has a Harry Potter theme - amazing!

I bought this on a whim. I didn't even know Ulta had a Harry Potter line until I was in line to pay. I grabbed the color in Hogwarts Letters because it was my-lips-but-better color. It reminds me of a cross between Lippie Lingerie in Envy and those Revlon Lip Butters popular years ago. Packing wise it's very unstated but classic looking. If I were not a Harry Potter fan, the design would not have deterred me from buying it. Really easy to put on. If you're not into heavy make-up, it's worth trying.

Amortentia is definitely a tinted balm, just like what the other comments say. I was excited about the color, hoping it be more pigmented but this definitely went on semi-sheer and like a just-kissed flesh color when I hoped it would be more pink. It's pretty, though, the color is there! If you're looking for a natural My Lips But Better product, this would be ideal.

I thought this would be a thick pencil lipstick but it is not, its more like a tinted balm. Not what I wanted but I still love and use it. Not sure if the reviews below mine received a cruddy batch or what because there was no off putting smell on the color I purchased (Patronus). So yeah, they should change this to tinted balm and all would be well ;)

Beautiful color. Glides on easily and stays there.

I admit, I got this because it's HP themed. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality. There's no greasy or waxy feel. The formula is velvety and has a light, sweet scent. I'm in love with the subtle nudes yet feel that I can easily dress them up with a topper. I bought two colors from this collection, I plan to buy the other two asap.

Both of the colors I got are pretty, very mlbb. Easy to apply, no need to check in the mirror as the colors are pretty muted. Have soft shine finish and feel moisturizing while worn. Last about an hour.

I bought Hogwarts Letters and Order of the Phoenix. Like one of the reviewers, I think they smell weird, like old crayons. When I got Order of the Phoenix, the product inside broke off and is stuck in the tube cap. I'm not sure if it was as because en route, it was hot and melted inside or the quality itself is cheap, but it broke off. The other one I bought is intact and works well.
In terms of application, it's pretty smooth to apply, color is nice, and applied like what it's supposed to be (like a lip crayon). Sort of reminds me of the Clinique ones.
This is an okay product and I took off a star for the weird smell and one of them breaking off.
If you are contemplating between the HP lip products, I recommend the HP glosses instead.

The color and application were nice. The product feels a bit wobbly in the tube and I worry it might break off. Product also smells like cheap makeup. I thought maybe I wouldn't notice the smell on my lips, but I do. I won't return it, but I wish it didn't smell funny.

I thought this was going to be a nice cream lip crayon that would have a full coverage effect on the lips, but it was more of a tinted lip balm, maybe a bit thicker than that. It does have shine and the color seemed like nothing special to me.

I was trying to put pics up but I cannot. I love the the wine color the most.

I bought them all. I'm not a lip crayon gal but I couldn't pass this up. Definitely a completionist moment as I wanted everything but I'm excited to play with them. Even more excited to display them.

This color is absolutely gorgeous and goes great with the Gryffindor pallet! It's creamy and smooth and I absolutely love that it's a matte finish 😍⚡️

Honestly, i initially bought three of the colors and i love them so much i bought the 4th color yesterday. Yes they dont last as long as a liquid lipstick but the pigment and color is absolutely stunning so to me it makes it worth it. Plus it feels SOO good on my lips! Its super soft smooth and light weight.

I bought the medium toned pinky brown (Expecto Patronum) and it's a beautiful MLBB shade. it's a cream and doesn't last long but very pretty color and I love Harry Potter. great packaging.
