Most Helpful Positive Review Smooooth Hands
I picked this product up while I was standing in line to check out. I use many Philosophy products so I was intrigued by the hand cream. I was not sorry for a minute for having chosen this product....being true to itself Philosophy has a definite winner with this hand cream....my hands are smoother and cuticles are softer than they've been in a long time. I also like that there is not an overpowering scent which Philosophy is also known for....my only wish is that it will come in a larger tube next time.
Most Helpful Critical Review Shocked at the positive reviews!
I cannot believe this product has any positive reviews. It made a huge mess in my car. The lotion was barely absorbed into my skin and little balls of hardened lotion went all over my car seat, the steering wheel and the floor of my car. I never write negative reviews. This product is the WORST!

This has NO unique or special ingredients in it. The only good thing in it is shea butter. The long list of added ingredients & chemicals pretty much cancels out any good in it. Save yourself a lot of money, and buy some good quality hand lotion with shea butter, or other oils in it. This tiny size, average/low quality product is WAY OVER PRICED !!!!!!

I am getting married in 4 days and got this as a last ditch effort to try and work some cuticle magic before my manicure. OH MY GOSH. This stuff is amazing, I'm both upset that I waited this long to try and also upset that It doesn't come in a bigger size to put on my nightstand.
Best handcream I've tried
Jess from Portsmouth, NH
I've tried a lot of hand creams, because my hands get SUPER dry. I've tried drugstore, I've tried 'prestige brands'. They've always either smelled awful/too strong, or didn't moisturize enough, or left my hands feeling greasy. I bought this to try, and I love it. It moisturizes my skin just enough, doesn't leave my hands greasy, absorbs quick. It DOES have a slightly medicinal smell when it comes out of the tube, but I no longer smell any scent once it is absorbed (within a minute of application). I'll be buying more.

This is a great hand lotion, does exactly what it's suppose to do. I even use it on my dry feet before bed.
It's just ok

I was hesitant to order this because of the reviews. It soaks in pretty well without any greasy feeling. I did not* experience any "pilling" of the product at all. Maybe I used less than other reviewers? However, even after putting in layer after layer, I see absolutely no difference in the texture of my hands or nails. I bought every scent available, including unscented, and there was no difference in results. I expected more from Philosophy.

I'm a huge fan of Philosophy's Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath in various scents, Purity face wash, Microdelivery facial wash, and Renewed Hope in a Jar, so I was expecting amazing results from Hands of Hope. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not a fan of the smell. It's supposed to be unscented but it has a strong waxy smell to it. I applied the lotion and while rubbing it in tiny round clumps formed on my hands. I brushed them off and finished the whole tube but I wouldn't ever purchase again. I didn't notice and difference in the feel of my hands after I finished the tube but my skin isn't that dry. I don't recommend Hands of Hope. There are way better hand lotions on the market!
not as good as i'd hoped

after rubbing in teeny flakes/pieces of lotion developed!!??
Shocked there are positive reviews!
LaLaBuys from StL
This was shockingly bad. I say that knowing I always find something decent in most products. AND I love Philosophy in general. But...My hands felt no different before lotion than after lotion. I mean NO difference at all. Completely ineffective. This is with constant daily use as I keep it at work.

I like this cream very much, more for my cuticles than hands. It is very good on my hands, but the big difference for me has been my cuticles. I wish the size was bigger, 1oz does not last long. I don't mind paying for a product, it would just be more convenient. I will continue using it.

Normally the only thing that works for my hands has been hemp, but I work at a school so bringing it to work with me is out of the question. I wanted something heavy duty with little to no scent and this fits the bill.
Left wax pills all over my hands
Aubree from Philadelphia
I love philosophy- I use Purity religiously, and have tried their other skin care products via gift sets/samples and have loved them. My stress and anxiety makes me pick my nails and dig at the skin around my nails to the point where I rip the skin away and bleed. It's terrible, and I've recently made a conscious effort to stop. Since the my hands are always dry, making it easier to pick at my skin, I decided my first step would be to invest in a good hand cream. When I put this on, all these little gray pills appeared all over my hands. I don't know why, but I figured it was an exfoliant getting rid of my dead skin. This kept happening, and after reading other reviews, I learned that it's the lotion itself balling up. It's honestly so bad I cannot continue to use the lotion. The balls get EVERYWHERE. The lotion isn't greasy, has a little scent, and did hydrate my hands and make my nails a bit tougher. But the wax balls are so bad, I have to give it 2 stars. Would not recommend and will not repurchase, especially for the price.

Nice hand lotion that works fine. The bottle is quite small for the price.
Nice hand cream!

Absorbs quickly, not greasy. Very good product. Didn't really detect a scent.
Best hand lotion - hands down
Chessie from Tampa, FL
So I've been on a hunt for at least the last two years to find a hand lotion with a plesent smell, that obsorbed quickly (I work with tech stuff) and left my hands feeling nice.
They knocked it out of the ball park for hitting all of my ear marks and then some. I love using it - the scent is plesent and vanishes quickly once its obsorbed in to the skin. Doesn't leave a film or layer on the skin creating marks on clothes, keyboards or mice. I can't recomend this enough to those who work with computers all day and need something to keep your hands feeling happy.
Wonderful for youthful hands
CSR extraordinaire from Chattanooga TN
I have to wash my hands a dozen times a shift with a harsh soap. This drys my hands out leaving them looking older then they are. This product has helped to leave them looking more youthful and less chapped.
not a good value for the price and size
blasianmomeverywhere from Virginia
I like how the product performs. It does what it's suppose to do. I know Philosophy products are more on the mid to higher end of products in price range. They impress upon the public so much value when it comes to size of the body care products they offer. This hand and cuticle cream at 1 oz for $10 misses the mark soooo much. This is not for someone who is a constant hand washer like myself. I had to alternate use with other items so I could make it last past two weeks.
Too many other products out on the market that offer similar if not better results with a much better price value. The only way I would get this again is if it was in a bundled offer with other products that I like from Philosophy.
Greatest hand lotion I have ever found and it is not greasy.

I love how this gets rid of dry skin on my hands and leaves them soft and smooth. I have tubes in the kitchen, my desk, my purse, and next to my bed.
Saving my hands this winter
Kinz from Los Angeles, CA
The winter always dries out my hands. I put this on before bed a couple nights a week and I wake up to moisturized hands. I will buy this again to keep my hands from cracking.
Works great for me

I first tried this in mid December when I purchased "an ornament" as a stocking stuffer for myself. I've used Philosophy products for years and am never disappointed. This cream is no exception. Yes, it is a little pricey, but the results are worth it. My hands and cuticles get so dry, red, itchy, and will crack/split to the point of bleeding, especially in the winter. After the first application, I could feel and see an improvement. A couple days later, no more cracking or splitting. I have tried almost everything over the years. This cream is rich and silky without any greasy or tacky feeling. My hands actually even look younger. I love it.
SaraQ from Kansas City
My hands felt very soft and not greasy. I wish the apricot scent was available on its own (instead of purchasing the set).
Too expensive for the lack of benefit received.
Not happy from Ozark, MO
Quite disappointed with the lack of results. As an older adult I suffer with dry skin n my hands reflect this condition. Coming across the "promises" of this product, I looked forward to seeing some improvement to my hands. UNFORTUNATELY, this was not the result.
Feels great on my hands

My 9 year old is obsessed with this hand cream. It goes on light and not greasy. You can put it on in the morning or before bed and it lasts. If you have dry hands it doesn't sting like some other hand moisturizers
