Most Helpful Positive Review Works Great!
I'm at the point where I have one small patch of grey hair at the crown of the head and a few around my temples that are starting to annoy me. It's not so bad that I need a full color treatment (for now). I wanted something easy to use to cover up the few areas. This spray was surprisingly good! The color match is spot on - I have dark brown hair so I bought the Black/Dr. Brown.
Only draw back is that the spray does go off mark and I've ended up with "freckles" on my cheeks and forehead. Not a big deal as it wipes off easily. But I would recommend not wearing clothes when you spray it on and if you're using your hand to pull back your hair perhaps consider wearing thin disposable gloves as the spray does get on hands. Again, it washes right off with soap.
Other then that I am so pleased with the ease in use and "look" of the results that I'm buying another spray can today!
Most Helpful Critical Review No good color for blonde hair
Loved the product. Hated the color. Apparently the dark blonde color is no longer available or carried -- can't find it anywhere. The online description says the light brown will work on blonde hair. It does not. Covered my gray growth, but with a brown stripe down my head. Just too dark to blend. May be if you are a dark, dark blonde or if you have dark blonde lowlights. Would recommend product, but not to a blonde.

I used the product for the first few times this past week and it worked so well that I postponed my root touch up salon visit for another 4 weeks.

I prefer to spray it on a toothbrush for better control then brush it where needed. I don't like spraying my scalp as it's not easy to remove.
I buy only this one

Good price. Great coverages. I use it in between tinting . Don't spray to heavy. If you are going bald or thinning hair, this is great for that too.

This is a great product when your roots are coming in a little and in between colorings. It's also useful if you only have one small gray spot. I use this all the time.
Sprayer puts our so much dye that it just covers your scalp

Would love a lighter spray that doesn't drop off of your scalp-can't even use

Best quick cover up before next hair coloring.

This product gives a fine mist of color to your roots and scalp. FYI: The brand in the turquoise container spits and makes a mess. I find that I need to buy a shade lighter than the actual color of my hair. I have medium brown hair. I buy the lightest brown/medium blonde Gray Away. Anything darker is noticeable in my fine thin hair.
Roots are blended

I have used all types of root coverup. This is one of my favorites so far. I have only used it a couple of times. It is not as heavy as some sprays that are noticeable that they are there. It has better stay don't stray than the powders and is easier to use than the mascara wand ones. The color has just a hint of gold so it doesn't make your part look like flat black matte hair color. It was easy to aim and didn't have a lot of overspray. Some products I have used make my scalp burn and this did not do that. Drawback is you are limited to a few color choices. I recommend it and will purchase again.
Love! Love! Love!

Covers gray well. I let mine dry before brushing and it never feels sticky like hairspray does.
I want salons to reopen!

I hate this product but I NEED it and I hate that I need it. I have 3 inches of grey hair to cover now so basically I'm held together with this stuff. It gets everywhere. On your face, on your hands, on your pajamas, on your pillowcase. It stains light colored pillow cases so be warned. That being said it's the best product of it's kind on the market and I have tried most of them. This works best if you have no more than a half inch of grey down your center part. More than that and it's a messy cover up for a larger problem

The product covered my gray really well; however the spray is hard to control and I got it in my part. It also feels chalky once it dries. WARNING: This stuff rubs off very easily even when dry (on fingers, hats, pillowcases etc.) ok for a TEMPORARY fix
Best root concealer!

This is my go to product whenever I'm in a hurry to cover up my grey hair. You have to make sure you don't over spray your hair or else it gets messy. I love using this product when I don't feel like dying my hair.

I have used several other brands and so far this one is the best. It blends super easy and nice with your hair!
This is actually pretty awesome for a quick touch-up

This stuff is actually pretty great. A lot of people are saying it can get on your clothes, which it can. but you also need to be cautious of how you apply it. Would I use a really nice shirt while applying this? Well, no. But it's easy to take control of where the color is spraying. I really do love it! Especially during this time where I can't go to the hair salon!

so easy to use I ordered for my mom and she loved it.
Can't be without!

I'm 52 and a natural brunette. I'm now at the stage where I color every month. I use this root color about a week or so out from my next appt. just spray it right on my part line since this is where the grays show up first and it blends so nicely. One thing I've found...I am a medium brown but I use light brown in the root color. Anything else is too dark...almost black. Then it will definitely show a color difference.
Too sticky - it's like using hair spray
Head Donkey from Washington
It did a good job covering my roots, but it feels like sticky hair spray. I'm going back to just using powder and brush :(

Love this stuff. Worth the money
Mrselizo from Sandiego
This colors my stubborn gray roots very well. Applies easily and does not make a mess. It lasts a couple days until I shampoo it out. Best of all it does not leave my hair with that dirty, heavy coating.

Great product. Covers gray very well and stays on your hair!
KFabs from PA
Gray away is an exact match to my hair color. I would never use any other product, after trying it 4 years ago. I use the powder and spray for larger areas. It's a quarantine must as well.
Kathy from Ashburn VA
I was skeptical, but I'm very happy. It covers the gray and doesn't spray on your scalp. I'd never used a product like this before, but I was very pleased.
ada5 from WV
I kinda love it, I kinda don't. It does give pretty good, long-lasting coverage from grays, but it's so messy. It takes way too many "sprays" to cover an area. Also, super sticky, and makes my hair feel very unclean. I feel like maybe the spray tip needs to be more precise? It's actually pretty small, but I have to use my hand to shield droplets from covering my entire forehead and face. Don't ever apply this after you've applied make up!
Rose from San Jose california
It does the job but use a light hand or your hairline will look helmety. Also it gets everywhere. Your face, your tee shirt, your fingers if you itch your head. So I'm taking away a star for that. It's also a small bottle so you don't get a lot of product. Be sure to buy the toppick hair comb to go with this or you won't have a natural hair line. In other times I don't know if I would buy again but this is what we're stuck with until the shelter in place is lifted and the salons open again. So I guess it's fine for now.
MakeupAddict from Houston, TX
It covers the gray a lot better than the powder version of this product. It does a great job at covering the gray and looking natural. With that being said, don't spray it while wearing a shirt that you care about because little particles will fall onto the shirt, and will never come out. It gets everywhere! Because it's a spray, it's difficult to get the hairs on the hairline in front of my face. It also runs out very quickly.
