Most Helpful Positive Review REALLY NICE TINTED MOISTURIZER!
I tried this in Honey and love the results. It covers flaws nicely and it is moisturizing at the same time. I have a drier skin and this doesn't settle into my fine lines which I love! It smells fine to me. I would rather use a fragrance free product but this doesn't smell too strong and it goes away quickly. It will give you a nice dewey complexion that can be toned down with powder if you want a more matte look.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not the best option
I'll start with the pros
-it is great for very natural looking makeup--say you want to just put on something light, it's' a hot day out--this is a great option for that.
-it's lightly moisturizing, very much does what it says on the tin
-I have lighter skin and went with the lightest shade, ivory, and it didn't pull too yellow on me so no problems for anyone who's extremely pale.
-my redness still showed--photos included. If you have any redness to your skin, you'll need to layer this with a color corrector
-if you have dryer skin--my cheeks can be dry sometimes, you want to moisturize before you put this on.
So my opinion on this is like, it's not the best tinted moisturizer I've ever tried. I would suggest a CC(Color Corrector) cream for anyone who has redness or dark undereyes in that it would still have light coverage, but this is best for someone who wants something very light and simple on their skin, and has very minor imperfections they want to cover.

Gives a natural hint of color. More noticeable than plain lotion, but doesn't feel too foreign.
Sensitive skin beware

I'm giving this 4 stars because I actually really like the way that this moisturizer applies to my skin. It's very light, but also gives a dewy look. If you don't like dewy, the mattifying powder pairs really well with this and won't look cakey.
Unfortunately, my skin had a BAAAAD reaction to this and it took me months to realize it. Like a lot of people, my skin has become sensitive do to face masks. Whatever though, a couple of chin pimples, no biggie. However, a few months ago, my skin suddenly EXPLODED. Acne all over my chin, cheeks and jawline. My first instinct was to change all of my face wash and shampoo. I ended up changing them all about 3 times. That didn't help. Thinking it could be stress or hormones, I began taking medication. That didn't help. I completely cut sugar out of my diet. Guess what? Didn't help.
I didn't even consider that this tinted moisturizer could be playing a role in the battle against my skin. However, I had run out of this a couple of weeks ago and never bought more. Suddenly my skin stopped breaking out. It's no longer getting dry and pealing/bleeding at the end of the day either. I'm really quite surprised by this...
I had been using the Burts Bees BB Cream prior to this product and had no issue, but now I'm a little nervous to go back to it as my complexion has pretty much been destroyed.
I'm not sure what the difference between the two products are and I know everyone's skin is different, but personally I would not recommend this product if you are currently dealing with any type of skin sensitivity.
Hydrating and melts into skin < 3

Blends well into skin and more affordable than other pricier natural products. It doesn't cover discolored areas so i still use with a little concealer but mostly keeps skin hydrated with a hint of creamy tint.
Every day go-to

I am new to tinted moisturizer and I must say I fell in love when I tried this! I have been using it consistently for a while now and it is actually very full coverage. I little goes a very long way. I have very white alabaster skin and the ivory does a fantastic job at adding a soft glow and hiding any blemishes. I prefer this product to foundation as it is lighter on the skin. The soft glow is so pretty and it lasts all day. Love that it is enriched with moisturizers, especially for my drier skin in the winter. Definitely will repurchase. The little bottle will last a very long time and as just a little squeeze will cover your whole face.
I love it my favorite

I really like burt bees brand and I in love with cosmetics. When I used it, it moisturized my face because I have dry skin.

For this being the first time I've ever used a tinted moisturizer I was pleasantly surprised! First of all the product has such a nice sweet scent. Not too strong though just a tad. This moisturizer has a lot more coverage than I would've expected from a tinted moisturizer. It also leaves my skin nice and dewy. Very healthy looking. I really like it.
Love this moosturizer

I love this formula. I have been looking for a moisturizer like this that really penetrates. I've tried other moisturizers by Burt Bees and by far this is superior in quality. Please include this formula in a no tint for night time use. Thank you.
Love this Moisturizer but...
KimLhere from Houston
This is a very good moisturizer I love the fact that it really hydrates and penetrates into my skin. It is lightweight so I am able to layer it and get the level of moisture I need. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is not inclusive enough. I can't believe you have only 1 shade of brown for dark complexions. It's as if Burt Bees is tone deaf. Please show women of color that we matter too and that you want our business as well. Funny how you include so many shades for women with light complexions. I didn't realize there were so many different shades of beige.

I like the moisturizing feel and hydration this gives -- it's kind of like an oil/serum consistency. I've noticed it makes my face greasy at the start but then it absorbs into the skin and gives a dewy look. HOWEVER, the shade I got was much too light and just looks like a sunscreen overcast. I picked the best I could online with their shade finder but I think that tool could use some more work because its shades are not the same as what they look on a computer. I wish I could exchange it for a different shade but couldn't find how to do that through the website.
it depends but eh it's alright
juj from ca
it gives you a glowy, even-ish complexion. it does not cover blemishes at all but it does make your skin look healthy.... for a while until your skin gets super oily. i should've gotten the darkest color and they should defiantly expand the color range
I would buy this product again

A great way to even out skin tone without applying full makeup.
Arrived watery and unusable

Wasnt able to try this out as it arrived watered down and all seperated. Will be returning if they even accept it back. I was looking forward to trying this.

I like how glowy it made my skin but it also made me break out. I have sensitive skin and I wasn't impressed. Better products out there.

When I opened my package this product was separated, I now shake every time before use. This is very lightweight, which I love, but has a horrible smell. I would have given more stars, but the smell is a big downer.

when i used it it made my skin more alive and it made it glow, would defiantly buy again
Great but shade range needs improvement
annicawu from Los Angeles
This works out great for me! It's perfect for dewy looks and really evens out my skin tone. I love how it's buildable but doesn't get cakey. The shade range is very disappointing however, I have medium skin tone yet I'm the second darkest color. There should be more shades so everyone can enjoy this product!

Thank goodness I had a coupon. When it arrived, I had to shake it up really good to attempt to mix it back up because it had separated into a liquid and a clump of brown stuff. I applied using a sponge applicator and it made me look ashy. For reference, I'm black and Indian with a red undertone. I don't think this is meant for melaninated women.
Greasy and separated
Sarah from Pittsburgh, PA
I bought this because I wanted something very light to wear in the summer. When it arrived it was completely separated in the bottle. I gave a good shake thinking that that might just be a weird side effect of shipping but nope, it's very very greasy/oily. It also has a weird smell I'm not very fond of. Maybe I just got a bad batch but I definitely would not recommend this product.
Finally found my go to foundation
Neenz from Ca
I received my item on a 90 degree day so I wasn't surprised just like some reviews said it came separated. All you have to do is cool it down and shake it up! No problem at all for me. Once applied the warm honey color is a perfect shade darker than my natural (im pretty fair). It looks like I'm not wearing any foundation which is great so natural looking! Not too greasy for me just right amount of matt and shine in my opinion. Does not feel heavy at all but if I touch my face it does feel a little moist. The smell isn't strong at all which I was surprised about. I actually don't mind it at all. Smell reminds me of white wine with a hint of green olives but extremely subtle. Im really thinking whoever got the one that smelled like socks just received an old batch since its more natural compared to other products you cannot be surprised that there is an expiration. The cost is on point! I do believe this is my quick go to from now on.
Glowing tinted moisturizer

Perfect in a pinch!
Olivia's beauty secrets from Seattle, WA
I've been trying to find something I can quickly apply to my face in a pinch. I am uncomfortable if I don't have at least a little bit of coverage when I go out in public. Also, my fiancé likes to go camping with friends and really wants me to join. So I wanted to find something that didn't look like I was wearing a full face out in the wilderness, and this was perfect. It looks like I was just wearing moisturizer on my face, it concealed most of my redness too!
great tinted moisturizer!
Masen from DC
I have oily skin with dry patches, so it's been really hard for me to find something that works well for my skin type. The closest thing I found to "perfect" before this one was Glossier's skin tint. This one has a bit more coverage than that, and it's more moisturizing (which is nice). The only "con" is the smell! It's similar to the smell of Burt's Bees old Noni foundation/bb cream, if you ever tried that. It's not quite as strong, and the scent dissipates. It's definitely bearable, at least for me. It has less coverage than the Noni one, and the texture is lighter. I'm really happy with this & plan to purchase another tube! I hope it doesn't get discontinued, because I feel like makeup/skincare products come and go nowadays. They're here one minute, then replaced with another product (sometimes an inferior product) in the blink of an eye. I have yet to experience any breakouts from this tinted moisturizer, but we'll see. For reference, I hated Covergirl's skin milk, NYX's Bare With Me, and Colourpop's tinted moisturizer. I wanted to like those, and tried hard to make them work for my skin type. They're all way too matte for my skin, even though it's oily. They caused bunches of product to collect in my fine lines & dry patches, even with various moisturizers and primers mixed in. Give this one a shot— especially if you have dry skin, combo skin with dry patches, or prefer a dewy finish & "just enough" coverage. This product (in terms of coverage) is above Glossier's Skin Tint but below Wet n Wild's Dewy Photofocus foundation. It seems buildable, so you may be able to get medium coverage from it, but I would say it's very true to its "tinted moisturizer" claim. Low coverage, but not so low that it doesn't do anything. It does minimize redness and makes zits less noticeable, but you'll still need concealer if you're trying to make them invisible. I use Glossier's concealer with this tinted moisturizer & it works well for me
J from NJ
At first I loved this and then I didn't. It gives a very similar glow to the glossier skin tint which in my opinion is literally un-dupable so at first I was so impressed with this bc it's less than 50% of that price. However, from a skin tint point of view it's very greasy. Even comparing it to glossier which has a VERY dewy formula that I am used to this still felt very "foreign" on my skin. There's no real way of explaining it but it just felt very transferable, as if every time I touched my skin something would come off even though this is extremely light coverage. It just created a very uncomfortable feeling and as someone who hates wearing foundation on a daily basis it was basically the opposite of what I was looking for. (Also I applied this with my fingers the same way you would to a moisturizer.)
Gg from Wheeling, WV
I am not a fan of face make up. I only use tinted moisturizers for the lighter coverage. This formula gives me the most beautiful radiant glow. Not greasy! The smell is very subtle. My skin felt like a baby's bottom with it on. Great for people looking for a natural healthy appearance. Awesome price point!
Deni from Houston
I was looking through other reviews and I didn't see anyone mention a weird smell so I'm not sure if maybe it was just only mine that smelled weird but it smells almost like really old gummy candy and a bit sour. Maybe even like wet socks?? I know that's a bit odd lol but it's the best way I can describe the scent it's really weird. Despite the smell, this moisturizer applied really good on my skin - it felt very lightweight, looked smooth throughout, and overall covered minor discoloration. I have normal/combination skin and it didn't make my face oily at all! Although it smells really weird, I'm still giving it 5 stars because the application is very smooth and thankfully the smell doesn't seem to linger on my face after applying it.
