Most Helpful Positive Review A one-and-done grungy glitter look. A really unique concept. I've tried glitter eyeshadows like Stila before and I never really felt wowed by them. I thought it was because glitter didn't work for my facial structure: if I wore glitter by itself it looked jarring on me, and if I topped an eyeshadow look with it looked too much. However, this is the glitter eyeshadow of my dreams. If I want to look effortlessly chic/sexy/grungy, this is the shadow I pick up. I can layer it without it getting built up, scaly, or flaky. I got the shade gold, and I will say it's a little bit more of a greeny-gold on me than shown on the video. I wish there were more swatches provided by Smith and Cult or there was more hype online for them so I would be able to make a more informed purchase. I'm a sad that these are the same price as the Stila Glitter and Glows and have little images/reviews of them. I can't see them lasting long in the market and that's a shame. I think it would be better if they were at a lower price point, remarketed with video swatches, and sent to reviewers. Also, I think the black smoky base should be described on the packaging rather than metallic shift because I've seen the black base cause confusion in some online reviews. All that being said, I think this is a great product and I would repurchase. Anyone who's reading this review who likes the sound of an easy glittery smoky eye should definitely get this.
Most Helpful Critical Review RUN! Away from this!!! I was sooooo excited for this. But was left with pure disappointment. I own from glitters from MUFE to Stila, Limecrime, Indie Brands, Lemonhead.
This stuff ranks the lowest. If they had not named it " Glitterbaby " it would be all right. This has no glitter. It has metallic particles. The Gold one will blend into and ashy antique dark gold. Nothing like the little demonstration video I watched. Very watery. In the tube when my " Gold " arrived I already shook my head. It looks burnished Gold. Translation: grayish/ ashy on the eyes. I am a pale gal NC15 on my best non vampire days. This is a bad product. No glitter, the more you blend the messier. Colors aren't true to pictures. Overpriced and nothing to offer. I am upset that I even spent my time having to alert others by posting this review. Will for sure return it ASAP.

I bought this eyeshadow just on a whim because I've always wanted to try a liquid eyeshadow, and I'm so glad I did! The first time I put it on, I received so many compliments on my makeup. I have brown eyes, so I purchased the strawberry shade, and it makes my eyes look absolutely stunning. My eyes have never looked so brown before. This product is a must have.
Amazing 5

Love this product!! 5
Obsessed with make up from California
I purchased the Fiery Copper shade, and I love it so much! You only need a small amount and then smudge with a brush or your fingertip. I prefer my finger as it seems to work better for me. As others have stated, yes there is some black, but for me, there was more of the reddish color. I will definitely buy more!! If there is a con, I wish it was not so costly.
So disappointing 2

I bought the color Strawberry, but it looks so different on the skin compared to in the tube. On the eyelid it looks just purple, the green shift just isn't there at all. As other reviews have mentioned, this color blends out to black, which is kind of strange. This formula creases pretty bad and won't get opaque coverage. Stila definitely makes a better quality similar product.
they blend into black 2
megs from Illinois
I got 2 blues and 2 pinks. the links (amethyst and strawberry) look beautiful until they are blended, which they then start to turn black! it's so weird! the 2 blues I got get darker as well but not black. I guess I can't blend them then... they also stain like crazy. I swatched them on my arm and there are black patches on my arm now. I'm going to have to play with these but I probably won't be able to blend them at all because of this which makes them almost useless
So pretty 5
mandalee from Utah
I schmear a little on the lid near the eyelashes, then blend upwards and MAGIC, it blends to a dark grey smokiness all around the glitter area. Using a stiffer bristled brush is a good idea as well. I used a tarte vegan blending brush (made of some plastic?). If you are on the fence about his product I suggest watching some youtube videos and you'll see the cool effect.
Love it! 5

These are so fun and pretty! I love the duochrome effect and the fact that they stay put all day.
Super intense color shift 5
Geek Out of Water from Harrisonburg, VA
I've got more than a dozen of the Stila glitters and picked up this Smith & Cult in Amethyst. I am definitely buying more shades, because the color shift is super intense - more so than any of my Stila glitters. It's dramatic and beautiful and has zero fallout on me. This shadow lasts a full 14 hours on me and does not dry down to feel like plaster on my lids like some less expensive glitter shadows do. Thumbs up. Buying more.

Does not work well 1

The wand does not apply very well. It comes out clumpy.
Love these 5
CHW from IF
I LOVE these! I've purchased 6 of the 12 so far, I have blue-pink, iris, cyan, amethyst, fiery copper, and gold. All of them are sooo pigmented and apply like a dream! I love using them for dramatic looks
One is super pigmented the other is a sheer mess 2
Jules from Jersey
I purchased Strawberry and Jade. I thought they would be amazing since they had a black base. I was so disappointed with Jade I swatched it on my arm and applied to my eyes. On my arm, it would move around and around any time you touched the product same thing happened on my eyes. I let it dry to see if I could build it up more but it just became gross and looked so bad. Strawberry I had more luck with. I was able to build it up more and it was more opaque, whereas Jade was a sheer mess. I wish they were the quality of Stila magnificent metals. For the price I would go witg Stila

This is by far the most beautiful eyeshadow and so easy to apply and makes you shine
Beautiful Glitter and smoky effect. 5
Nikki from Rochester Hills, MI
I bought bronze and it's such a beautiful color. It's very long lasting- I don't use any primer, just a clean ingredients tinted moisturizer underneath, and it lasted all day/night long. It takes a little bit of extra effort to wash off, but it's definitely not as frustrating as removing mascara can be.
Dip me in glitter, baby! 5
Ulta is my 2nd home from Spokane wa.
So much to talk about! First, the other reviewers are nuts! It is intended to have a charcoal undertone, it's to blend out a Smokey look, but u don't have to blend. I bought 3- cyan, Blue to pink, & magenta. I'll buy more too. I've used it as a smoked out look with a grey shadow in my crease and I blend this out to the edges. Primo! And I've done my normal eyeshadow look and topped the center of my eyelid with the color I want & if u blend it, expect a darker smoked out effect, if you don't, then you get a beautiful sparkle/glitter look with NO fall out!! It takes very little to get the look your going for, dot it on and work it out with your finger or I prefer a small flat brush with MAC's fix+ on the brush and I just tap it over my lid. So many compliments! I work 10 hours and I came home and it looked flawless. No cracking, fading, or glitter on my cheeks. I am impressed with this modern, vegan line, and I will try other colors too. These are so fun!!
I LOVE IT! 5

Goes on in one stroke! Then you blend it out! I loved it!
Colors Not Accurate, Good Product 3
SaffyTaffy from PA
The duochrome colors have a strong color shift, and the others have multicolored glitter that create visual interest. They don't flake off when dry, and you can layer a second coat. They sheer out FAIRLY well, but people who want very precise smudging may be dissatisfied. They're nothing like a glitter liner; they seem to WANT to be smudged. The large, flat applicator supports allover-the-lid application.
You should be aware that the colors shown on the website aren't accurate. For example, Iris is not magenta as picture, but is a traditional "Japanese blue iris" color with magenta, blue, and purple glitter. Jade is much brighter than pictured.
SO BEAUTIFUL 5
Allie from co
im in love with this brand and these eyeshadows, they go on very smoothly and they blend out black so theyre very good for smokey eyes or glitzy cut creases. if you apply too many coats it can flake or come off easier but otherwise theyre nice
GLITTERBABY 5

Makes cut creases a breeze 5
Miya from Washington, DC
I use this product as a cut crease. I do my normal look and then using the applicator I just apply it to my eye lid. I got the bronze shade and I got compliments on it all day.
Quick and easy smoky eye 5
Eve from New York
The glitter is beautiful and the product works exactly as advertised. A little goes a long way though - if you use too much it will smear all over. I've been using the applicator to dot a tiny bit onto the center of my eyelid and blending out, which works well!
Confusing 4
Rayne from Alaska
This is intended to be smoked out to reveal the black base but if you use it by applying directly to the eye with the applicator and by barely and I mean BARELY tap the edges out then it doesn't turn black. I get compliments every day I wear this and it has amazing sparkle and staying power. Also it's fantastic that this is cruelty free!
Black base = mess 2
Lawlaw410 from New Jersey
I should have realized how messy these would be after wiping the swatches off of my hand in the store. The initially look beautiful when applied, but after a short time of wear, the black/charcoal base comes through and looks smudgey and messy. I have really hooded eyes, so this just didn't work well for me. If it didn't have a black base that made me look like I couldn't do a smoky eye to save my life then these would be a bit better. For the price you are MUCH better off getting the Stila ones.
