A new trick in your beauty arsenal, Butter London's Glazen Eye Gloss is a breakthrough eye shadow that delivers a wet look shine, without being wet. This playful, pudding-like texture applies like a gel, but dries like a powder and lasts all day.

Benefits:
  • Lightweight
  • Crease-resistant
  • Long-wearing
  • Buildable: Sheer shimmer to intense metallic
  • Betaine: Skin conditioning to help prevent dry eyelids
  • Gellan gum: Unique gelling agent gives a pudding-like texture and creates a film to keep the sparkle from budging
  • Unique pearl suspension gives the product a "wet look" on the lid
Apply with finger, start in the inner corner of the eyelid and blend outwards. For a high-metallic finish add a second layer of colour.

STUNNING

By kellyB

from yeet

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

I got one of these in a gift pack I got at a ulta store and was at first disappointed because it was dried out, but I figured out that all I had to do was add a little water. It applies like a gloss and it glides right on to your eyelid so smoothly! It dried almost instantly and is also super easy to build up for more shine! Super easy to use, and blends seamlessly with other shadows. Love it!

SHOCKED

By kluat

from NY

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

These are amazing. I was skeptical to try them because I have oily, hooded lids. Barely any of my lid shows when my eyes are open so I was expecting these to crease so badly.

They do not budge! They are absolutely stunning and easy to work with. I thought they paired with powder shadows nicely and easily as well. I think these are definitely worth a try.

So Surprised!!!

By rtk888

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

I personally LOVE this stuff!!! It looked like powder when it's on and doesn't crease even when there is no primer! Blends easy and a little goes a LONG way. It also WILL NOT rub off after it's dry! The texture is kind like gel mixed with jello but not unpleasant. If it starts to dry out (which it most likely will) put a piece of damp paper towel between the product and lid to give it moisture.

Over all, I love it!!!

Lots of metallic glitter

By Jenni

from Mo

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

The gel like texture wasn't as jelly like as I thought it was going to be, it still goes on very wet like, creamy. The color is very pigmented which is nice, if you like bold metallics or glitter then this is for you. Overall applies great. I see a lot of complaints about it drying up - I would recommended not throwing the plastic cap inside the main cap away to avoid it drying up.

Gives a gorgeous wet look and lasts a while!!

By Jill

from Alabama

Pros

  • Applies Smoothly
  • Great Color
  • Highly Pigmented
  • Long Lasting

Cons

  • Cheap Compact Case
  • Pricey
  • Smudges or Flakes

Best Uses

  • Going Out

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

I bought the color "Frosted" and its a really pretty rose gold with lots of glitter. The consistency is so strange but really cool! You only need the tiniest amount of product; a little goes a long way. I put this on the center of my eyelid and it gave a gorgeous wet look. It dries down quickly so it doesn't transfer to the top of my eyelid (I have hooded eyes). It did flake a little bit when I curled my eyelashes but I just dusted the flakes away. It didn't flake for the rest of the day. You can apply this product with your finger or brush. I like to apply this with a brush because I get a more precise application and I actually think it looks more opaque with brush application.

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

I bought this, not really sure what I was getting myself in to. The texture is odd....and fun! You have to move quickly as it will dry fast. One layer is great for some sparkle and anything more than one really amps up the look! I am so pleased with this that I am buying more colors!

What to Do When It Dries Out

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

I bought this product in Oilslick a little over a year ago. I was thrilled initially, but then found I had the same problem many people are describing where the product dries out when I went to use it for the second time. I didn't want to just throw the money away though, so I added a little bit of water to the pot and replaced both the lid and the plastic piece it comes with. A few days later it was as good as new! This has happened several times to me since and each time this method has allowed me to revive it. I think part of the key is the plastic piece it comes with, like a second lid to help prevent the moisture from escaping. I've since bought more colors and have made sure to keep that extra lid. My product is still usable today, thirteen months later. I normally don't post reviews but the reviews people were leaving were making me sad that people thought they had to throw this away so I figured I'd share my method!

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

I loved this product when I tried it. So much so that I bought every color including the mini gift set (at regular price). Fast forward one month later and I might as well have threw a couple hundreds out of the window instead. Every single one is completely dried out and unusable. So disappointed because at first I thought I'd found my holy grail.

Comments about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:

This product is difficult to apply with my finger, before I finished the application, it was in my crease which I did not want because my eyes are slightly hooded. Definitely have to use a small brush with this product. Definitely sparkling, if you dont like sparkle/shine then this is not for you.

  • Q:

So, it claims to give a wet, glossy look and in all the reviews nobody says if it does or not. Is this just a shimmery gel shadow, or does it actually produce a gloss finish when dry?
Asked on 6/2/2017 by Stacey from undisclosed

    1 answer

    • Brand Expert

      A:

The Glazen Eye Gloss gives you a wet look shine without being wet. The pudding like texture applies like a gel, but dries like a powder and lasts all day! The Unique pearl suspension gives the product a "wet look" on the lid.

    • Brand Expert

      A:

Frosted or Spark would be a great option for you! Frosted is more of a Sparkling Rose Gold and Spark is more of a Champagne.
