Most Helpful Positive Review Broken cherry=no regerts!! This is my virgin experience with Lipstick Queen-and I'm blown away. It's amazing!! It doesn't dry my lips, it feels like a very high end lip balm/chapstick but the payoff is so much better. I got this yesterday, and I'm in love. I'm going to try a couple other versions of this brand. I do t wear a lot of makeup so this is perfect on its own. But also is amazing under a lipstick-I used a Burt Bees lipstick and it was spectacular. If you are on the fence-jump and give it a go!!
Most Helpful Critical Review Love the color...but it tastes like it's gone bad I have several Lipstick Queen products and I love them all. I was so ready to fall in love with this one, but I just can't. The color is great, very pink, but I love it. The problem is that it already smells like it's turned bad. Ya'll know that bad makeup smell...this one has it and it's brand new! I'll be returning it to the store for a replacement or at least to see if others smell the same. I will happily change my review if I just happened to get a bizarro one that turned.

Love this product. Great smell and lip feel, excellent primer. My only issue is it turning very noticeably pink on me! It's pretty but will affect the color of other lip products used over top. Some who are not as pale as I am might not have any issue. Recommended!!!

Ok, so just so everyone is clear: this ENHANCES your natural pink lip color. I saw some others say they were disappointed because it doesn't show up. It turned my lips a beautiful pale shell pink color that just enhanced them more. It's definitely sheer other than that. Mine went on smoothly & it feels nice on my lips. If you want a TRULY no-makeup look, definitely try this! :)

I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this clump of grey matter that was too hard to even put on. Just no!
Lot of money for no color 2
MaggiPoo from Florida
It isn't very moisturizing. My lips feel dry soon after applying it, and there is no color.
Fine as a primer, but there are less drying primers out there for less $$.
Love this 5

I totally love this! Im a guy need a nonmakeup makeup look. Smooths my lips! LIGHT natural lip color (reading the reviews everyone seems to have a different experience on this. I think it just enhances your natural color. Trust me I DONT wanna look like Im wearing lipstick). Yeah, does have a crayonish smell but that fades quick. Got it in a Boxy awhile back, almost out, got during 21 days of beauty sale.
Good Primer, OK Lipstick 5
Paige D from Austin, TX
As a primer, this was amazing, probably the best primer I've ever used. Everything I tried with this went on super smooth. Now as for the color changing aspect, for me personally, it just looked pink. It all depends on your pH so it's not really much of the lipstick's fault, but for me it was like any other pH lipstick I've used. Pretty, yes, but androgynous or even the mauve color they promise? Not particularly. Glad I snagged it half off because I also wanted the color, but I'll take the primer.

I have loved all of my Lipstick Queen lipsticks and will continue to buy the others but not this one. I bought this, got it home the smell was horrendous. When I was looking to exchange it, I opened and smelled ALL of them before doing so. I finally ended up choosing the least of all evils. Love the product, detest the stink.
Just okay 2

This product is okay. It's a neat idea to be color changing but it's way more pink thank the product photos show, definitely no mauve undertone.
Love this so much! 5

I've never been one to use lip primers, but as I get older? I NEED IT, so I was delighted to find this one by Lipstick Queen! Not only does it keep my lip color on, it keeps my lips from drying out as well! The pale pink tint it leaves behind is a bonus! Sometimes this is all I use for "no-makeup" makeup days. Another win from LQ!
My favorite of this amazing brand! 5
Heather from Arlington TX
I switched to this from Urban Decay's primer because UD's doesn't last long. This is even better! It hydrated and smoothed my lips while making my lipstick last ALL DAY. After lunch, I usually only have to do a tiny touch up on the innermost parts of my lips—the lipstick on the outer parts won't budge all day. I use it solely as a primer; I didn't realize you could wear it alone. It's worth the price because I'm not reapplying my lipstick all day! Plus, it makes my lips feel so soft...
Don't know if I will repurchase 3

No color showed up on my lips like it has for others. If it would have I would buy it again.
My new favorite lipstick 5

I'm not usually a lipstick fan. I find them drying and either they transfer onto my coffee mug the second I take a sip or, if I get the non-transfer kind, it feels like I painted my lips with actual paint and let it dry. Not a great feeling. This lipstick doesn't feel like a lipstick, though. It feels like a balm, but unlike other tinted balms I've used, this one is opaque. The color is very subtle on first application, at least on my lips. I have to build it up a little if I want a more noticeable pink. The shade of pink is going to differ on each person's lips, I think. That's kind of the nature of Lipstick Queen's products, it would seem. That said, on my lips, it's a soft pink with the slightest blue undertone (giving it a bit of a purpley pink feel, almost like lilacs). It's not too pale, it's just right. It's very subtle. I love this. When I want to amp up the color a bit, I put tarte's maracuja lip oil on top, which is in the same family of pink. Great product!
Keeps my lipstick on my lips 5
Bridget from Colorado
I love this so much I've purchased it repeatedly, which is unusual for me. This goes on and smooths out my dry lips, giving me a perfect canvas for any lipcolor. I have fine lines around my mouth, and creamier lipsticks bleed into them a little. With this in place, my lipstick stays put for hours without flaking or fading in a weird pattern. I've never found a lip liner I consistently enjoy, so I really love that I can use this instead. It doesn't look like much on it's own, maybe a slight blush of pink, but I wear it as a primer so that doesn't really matter to me.
Love it!! < 3 5

I originally got Girls will be Boys in the hopes that it would make my LQ color change lippies last longer. With or without GwbB, I need to reapply LQ color changing lippies at least 2-3 times a day. I'm a teacher, so I'm talking quite a bit all day, and I work 10-12 hour days 4 days/week. The color/stain is a gorgeous medium pink that looks great against my porcelain skin with cool undertones. Because GwbB is more matte, it does last a bit longer than the other color changers.
I do love GwbB layered with a Buxom lip gloss/lip polish or on top of a lipliner. Gorgeous!!
Absolute favorite lipstick! HIGHLY recommend!! 5

I truly recommend this lipstick, this is my third purchase of this sweet subtle lip! I wish it was the actual color of my lips. It does not have a sticky consistency, it is perfect for everyday wear! Also pairs well with your favorite gloss.

I'm obsessed with all lipstick queen lipsticks! I use them all over and over again. This one is beautiful and it brings out my true color only better!
Smells stale: like old oil/crayons 1
The thinker from Ohio
I had purchased Frog Prince, liked it, and thought this would be similar to it. Wrong!
It has a strong smell and the first ingredient is Isononyl Isononanoate. Look at ingredients: then decide if that is what you want on your lips.
It also gives an unflattering pink garish color.
Trashing it.
Absolutely love as a primer 5
AC44 from Arizona
As described, this has a nice "blurring" effect on the lips. Worn alone, it leaves a pinkish, somewhat cool-toned stain, which isn't bad, but isn't as flattering as it could be against my warm-toned skin.
I really like to use it as a primer with other lip products. It has a nice smooth texture, isn't drying, and holds up really well. If my lipstick comes off after eating something with oils, it's nice that the stain from the primer remains, so you still have some lip color.
I will say, while I do appreciate the stain, it would be nice if Lipstick Queen had product with this formulation that was strictly a primer. I've found that if my lipstick isn't really opaque, the color of the stain will add to the other product and give you a bit of a different color than you may have wanted.
Pretty Pink Tint! 5
V-Amy from Temple City, CA
Like the other Lipstick Queen signature products (I use Frog Prince, Hello Sailor and Medieval) the lipstick is soft and moisturizing, and the tint so light that it can be applied without a mirror. For ladies who want dramatic, noticeable color, this isn't for you. The shade I get is not as violently pink as Frog Prince, but looks like I ate a Blow-Pop. My lips are naturally a plummy color, so pink tints don't usually work on me, but this does a fine job.
more pink than I expected 3
elolzabeth from Vancouver, wa
It does have a bit of crayon smell, but is very comfortable and has a beautiful blurred finish, however it does pull Very pink on me, so I do not wear often.
Multi-purpose brightening pink for everyday 4
znesnoc from Portland OR
It does exactly what it says it does: imparts a buildable pink flush to lips with a balmy-matte texture and acts as a wear-extending primer under full-coverage lipstick. I'm pale with lightly pigmented lips, and the pink is bright but never garish. In fact, it makes my whole face look more alive, so most days I wear it as my stand-alone lip color for maximum rosy-glow androgyny. It doesn't cause my sensitive lips to burn and peel the way most other lipstick formulas do, and I can apply it without a mirror, so it's a huge win for me. Extends the wear time of full-coverage lipsticks and pigmented glosses, and looks hella cute peeking through clear or nude lipgloss. Two things keeping it from being a holy grail: it doesn't moisturize my lips enough by itself, so I apply balm over it throughout the day, and it is more expensive than any other single makeup item I have ever purchased. However, this is the first lipstick I've ever used that I fully intend to repurchase when empty, because it's as close to perfect as I can imagine.
Great Product! 5
A girl who loves lipstick from earth
I was hesitant trying this, however I am in love with this lipstick. It's not as glossy as the other lipstick queen lipsticks and it makes my lips feel great. I have a great sense of smell and have no idea what the other reviews are talking about. The color is a pretty light/bright pink. it's perfect. not too much not too little. I highly suggest this product.
Best Transforming Lip 5
Jazzy Star from Austin, TX
I picked this up in store yesterday and I have not noticed any strange smell like the other reviews indicate, and I love the texture of this product! Unlike the glossy finish of the other Lipstick Queen products, this one has the texture of a stiff balm and looks just like when you apply primer to your skin. It does make the lips look much more plump. Like Mornin' Sunshine, it brightens to a sweet pink shade on the lips.
I love the color, but it does taste funny 4
sexyjulie from Paramount, CA
I am now a fan of lipstick queen. The first time I tried it was a sample I received from Ulta. I love this lipstick because it blurries line lip imperfections and I love the subtle pinkish color. I like lipstick queen because they are like lip stains, but very moisturizing and long lasting at the same time.
Just ok 3
Jaime from St. Louis
Great color but smells awful and isn't very moisturizing like other Lipstick Queen products
