Started using this brand and cream after a friend recommended it to me. I have dry skin and wanted to take better care of my skin with a good a moisturizer that didn't break me out and actually was moisturizing, not greasy. Have been using this for about a year now as my night moisturizer. I haven't had dry patches of skin on my face since! I love this cream

Comments about Mario Badescu Ginseng Moist Cream:

This product is OK. It's good as a daily moisturizer to use in the morning since it is thin/light, but it often feels like it doesn't completely absorb. Some of the reviewers said it works well prior to application of makeup, but I find that it doesn't absorb quickly enough so it's a little greasy. The texture is more like a mix of sunscreen and moisturizer. The smell is fine, just a slight ginseng smell that some people aren't used to. Unfortunately, I haven't noticed any improvements in my skin and there has been no change in quality related to this product, so in the future I'm not sure I will repurchase - but it's an OK product.

      Heavy and Broke Me Out

Comments about Mario Badescu Ginseng Moist Cream:

After washing my face, I'd put this on and let it sit for about 15 minutes before beginning my makeup. It literally would not absorb. My face felt heavy and greasy. I washed it off immediately on the 2nd or 3rd day. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but I just couldn't stand it. My face was so dry and this is meant for heavy moisturizing. It's heavy, alright. It caused my makeup to separate from my face, even though I use primer. My face also got really shiny throughout the day. Every time I went to the bathroom, I took a paper towel and dabbed my face. I felt so gross. I've never had that happen before. I went back to my Murad products. They are definitely worth the money and I feel bad betraying my skin like that. I'm still trying to recover my breakouts.

After my nightly skin care routine, I apply a little of this product on the tip of my finger and massage it into my skin; a little goes a long way. After one use my skin feels instantly smooth and moisterized.

Comments about Mario Badescu Ginseng Moist Cream:

So I bought this because I needed something cheaper to replace my Moisture Surge until I could buy another bottle of that. I had heard great things about this brand so i figured I'd give it a try. I'm currently using a retinal that absolutely dries out my face and it has done a fabulous job keeping my face from peeling, however it almost feels greasy when i put it on and IT BURNS. So overall, does it moisturize, yes. Is it worth the burn to continue using? Meh. There are other products that get the same effect (or better) without me feeling like I just put my face in an oven.

Comments about Mario Badescu Ginseng Moist Cream:

I am a makeup and skincare fanatic with extremely dry and sensitive skin and I have breakouts with a lot of products that I try. This, so far, is great! I've been looking for a good nighttime moisturizer (this may be a little bit too greasy before makeup, even with my dry skin) that is an affordable replacement for my Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer and this has been doing the trick. I don't mind the smell, but I can see why people wouldn't like it but it really doesn't linger at all. If you're looking for a heavier moisturizer and don't want to break the bank I would give this a shot!

I have combo/acne prone skin, but I am in need of a moisturizer with a little more moisturizing properties for winter. I currently use the MB oil free moisturizer with spf during the day and the MB seaweed night cream at night. Would this be a good substitute day moisturizer for winter?

                • Q:

I have very dry skin (like it's so dry it's flacking off my forehead) but I do get break outs occasionally elsewhere on my face but overall my skin is very dry with some fine lines. I've been looking at a lot of products and I'm wondering out of all the MB products which would be best for my dry skin? I'm looking for a moisturizer that can be used day or night. I'm also looking for one with SPF for day wear I'm really likening the way the moisture magnet is sounding but is this the best for my my dry and aging skin? Please recommend other products that I should try! :)

I am 21, will this be okay for overnight moisture? I have used the Mario Badescu Acne Startrer Kit in the past and have now purchased the full size bottles. I Like the oil free moisturizer but I feel like it doesn't help for overnight. If this won't work could you recommend another product?
