Most Helpful Positive Review Love it!
I haven't tried the Line Exact that everyone is referring to but I really like this product! It stays put and doesn't smudge. I like how thin the applicator tip is, you can make it as thick or thin as you want.
One of the better liquid eyeliners I've tried - it takes a lot of rubbing for it to come off or smudge
Most Helpful Critical Review Terrible now, but has potential
I bought the new Get in Line Liquid Eyeliner in Black Vinyl and have a lot of feedback. The thin brush is easily workable and versatile, so that's good; you can theoretically lay down a thin line with the option to thicken it up. The design of of the bottle and wand are VERY comfortable to hold in your hand, so that's excellent; it's actually the best wand design I've ever held in my hand for liquid eyeliner (and I've got 20 years' experience wearing liquid liner). But the bad comes in when we talk about the formula itself: If you want to add a second layer liner of this liner after the first layer has dried, you're in for a mess. The applicator will actually stick to the first layer as you try to go over it, meaning the bottom layer gets pulled off your eye in very tiny clumps, like little balls of glue pulling off. Another bad strike is the smell. As soon as you open the bottle, you get hit by a toxic glue-y, chemical smell that makes you really wonder if you should be putting that stuff near your eyes. Vinyl Black is a definite "no," but I'm going to try the Matte Black to see if it doesn't have the bad smell and to see if it doesn't clump when you layer over it.

I got the black-brown shade. So far I am enjoying this liner as it is easy to use and has a skinny tip. I don't have much to compare it to as I've only ever used this and the revlon liquid eyeliner.
Little to no pigmentation
chloe67 from venice, fl
My eyeliner contains glitter in it that was no mentioned anywhere in the packaging. There is so little pigmentation that it's nearly clear.

terrible. goes on like murky water with very little sparkle at all. i tried shaking it up several times hoping it was just seperated but no luck. do not recommend.
Wow major matte !
Sydney3three from Indiana
The matte one is amazing . It's so matte and black and the tip on the applicator is the finest I've ever used. Lasts all day, doesn't transfer .
Kimmie from PA
Not really what I'm looking in a liquid eyeliner. It feels a little rough to put on to me. Its not the worst out there though, but not the greatest. The brush isn't that soft.

my fav eyeliner. love how precise it is
Great for a sharp wing
SP from US
I've bought this before and I loved it! Yes it is a thin brush but I find it to help me get that long sharp wing. Then I use Milani eyeliner to fill it in.
Go to eyeliner!
Grey from USA
The applicator is very easy to use and the tip makes a winged look very easy to do. It also doesn't smudge once dry, and it comes off easily with soap and water or makeup remover.

Love the applicator, but it is so shiny and sticky. Definitely do not recommend

Works great and Covergirl is cruelty free!
brush too thin for application
Mary in Terre Haute from Terre Haute, IN
If I had known that the brush was so thin I would not have purchased this item. Very hard to get a great smooth line when the brush keeps pending. The package does not indicate that this is super fine brush. Very disappointed.

My favorite matte eyeliner! Doesn't smudge!
So shiny and sticky!
Ali from Richmond, VA
Bought this because it had great reviews but this is the shiniest liquid liner- not matte at all. Also, it's so sticky it would cling to my eyelashes and harden, so by the time I went to put mascara on it was a mess.
easily applies matte black
itsjustme from florida
the applicator is so thin and flexible it is easy to apply and be precise. The color is a nice dark matte black which I really appreciate because I don't care for shiny liquid liner. It isn't going to hold to to much of any moisture. But otherwise it wears well and doesn't smudge or flake off.

I guess covergirl did away with the other liquid eye liner I was using for YEARS!!! and loved so I'm out trying others. Tried this one and it's horrible. The eyeliner peels right off and cracks throughout the day. I spend a lot of time making my liner look good and 2 hours into my day it's already peeling. And don't laugh to where your eyes water because it will come right off.

Does it have oil in it? I get eyelash extension on a regular basis and I'm not supposed to use any makeup with oil..
I really loved this product. I would definitely buy it again

I love it how it looks when I put it on so in love with it
Worst eyeliner I ever bought.
Bon Bon from omaha nebraska
This is a gooey glaze filled with microscopic glitter which irritates eyes and provides no definition as far as being dark. I don't understand how this would be classified as an eyeliner at all. When I tried to go over what I had applied to make it darker, it took off what I had done, leaving a broken gap in color behind. The glittery shine is not good, and it's like applying a clear glaze with flecks of multicolor glitter to your eyelid. It says nothing like this on the package to give you a clue that you're wasting your money. VERY disappointed!

I have been using this eyeliner for the past several years. I absolutely LOVE it. I have had issues with other companies discontinuing my favorites. Incredibly easy to use. Super fine tip for a great easy line. Love the matte black. Please never discontinue this. Absolutely LOVE!
Great Liquid Eyeliner

OMG!!! I bought this at Acme and I tried it on. It has not smudged at all!!!! The black color of the eyeliner is very black. This liquid eyeliner is PERFECT for me!!!!LOVE!!!
Beats high end eyeliners!!
Jackie O. from Cleveland, OH
I've used them all...Stila...Tarte...Kat Von D...and this one is awesome! I prefer the dark brown eye liner from this line...it's dark, matte & STAYS PUT! In my opinion this blows the higher-end brands out of the water for half the price! This eyeliner also lasts FOREVER. I use it literally every single day & I don't need to buy a new one for months. Also, it's great for making a sharp wing! I just can't say enough about this product. I actually discovered it when my mom gave it to me (the only reason she gave it to me was because she thought she bought black, but it was brown & she didn't want to return it). Highly recommend it!! Thank you Covergirl for becoming CRUELTY FREE!!! Other drugstore brands take note!!
Worst Eye Liner Ever
Geeta from India
I generally prefer pencil eyeliner or gel liner but first time I purchased the liquid eyeliner and it is cover girl brand. I never saw that type of fake eyeliner. And it has mentioned that it is waterproof, smudge proof, and 2 more descriptions but it is all fake..just after pouring the water on my face, my eyes got blacken and it all rolled out on my face.. Why this company is selling fake product in India.
don't buy teal
Maggie, the brown gal from novi
I bought this in teal color. it's transparent with some glitter. it doesn't show up on your lid. It's horrible. nyx one is awesome!
sarahlee79 from Viola, AR
It disappeared! I applied this liner at about 9am and when I went to wipe it off at 7:30pm it was already GONE! (except for the smudges UNDER my eyes) I don't know if I am going to give this another try or not. I have never had eyeliner disappear like that before.
Dee from Dallas, TX
I picked up this liner (brown shade) on a whim because i was wanting some brown liner. Covergirl is newly cruelty free so I hadn't tried any of their products in YEARS. I am very impressed with the product; it is easy to use! I don't wear super-sharp-and-pointy-kill-a-man liner every day, but I am not a makeup novice either. To me, it seems like it would be usable for either end of the "eyeliner skill" spectrum. The color payoff is good, and it doesn't flake or run.
My only criticism is that the brown isn't as warm as I would like- and I wish it was a little lighter. It looks almost black to me lol. I was hoping for a liquid version of Colourpop's Mr Bing liner. Felt tip applicators are not necessarily a "con," as this one has the right amount of firmness, and its pretty precise- so that makes up for it being a felt tip in my opinion.
I have been using this liner for about a month now and the consistency/quality is as good as it was when I bought it! The container has not gotten clumpy, the formula hasn't dried out, etc.
