Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent Quality & Value for At Home Gel Set I recently got engaged and in an effort to start saving $$ for the wedding and knowing my nails would be center attention from people wanting to see the ring, I purchased this at home gel nails starter kit to avoid going to the salon every 2 weeks. While I can do a pretty good mani/pedi, I am an amateur and was a bit intimidated doing my own gel mani for the first time. The whole process (although a bit time-consuming) was actually pretty easy. The detailed instructions are very helpful and the products that come in the kit are easy to use and seem to be good quality. I've done two manicures now and they've lasted me a whole two weeks (and could have lasted longer), while I've gotten gel manis at a salon before and they have sometimes only lasted 1 week or less. My only very minor complaints are that the power cord is kinda short for the light and it would also have been nice to have a digital countdown timer on the top of the light. That being said, the light is auto-timed to 45 seconds, so it shuts off automatically when it's done, which is nice. Overall I am very pleased with this kit, the results, and the money I am able to save by doing a salon-quality manicure at home.
Most Helpful Critical Review Wanted to love I was really hoping to get good use out of this product as I like to keep my nails polished all the time. It's easy to use and dries quickly but my issue is with long lasting. I bought two separate nail polishes and tried the one included in the box. All three chipped within a few days. I followed every single direction...applied it thin, covered the tip of my nails and curated the nails for the exact fine required. I'm not sure I could have done any more but they all chipped within a few days. One of the nail polishes I got not only chipped but changed colors. Unfortunately this has to go back. I am jealous of those girls that found no issue with it as I was hoping to use this to replace getting my nails done at the salon.

I bought this on a whim after researching the prices of gel manicures at the salons in my area and being too impatient to wait for an appointment. It seems kind of pricey at first, but will pay for itself after a few applications and it comes with literally everything you will need - including files, lint free wipes, cuticle sticks, cuticle oil, and polish remover. I found the instructions to be very user friendly and the results I got are pretty good for my first time. Once I get better at painting my own nails I feel as if my results will be pretty close to salon quality. The entire experience took a little under an hour, I just watched a TV show while I did it. It hasn't been long enough to see how long they will last but so far I'm happy with my purchase. Make sure you wipe the nails at the end or they will continue to be tacky!

Tried with UV light to make nails dry for an hour and they were still tacky. Really wanted to love this but did not work.

This is the only polish I use now. I'm a bartender, so my hands get pretty beat up at work and my manicure always lasts close to three weeks. You must finish with rubbing alcohol, just like they do in the salon, or nails will always be sticky.

I love this product! For my first time it was a little tricky I ended up doing all five fingers at once and it ended up being a mess 😅 and it's hard to add all 5 fingers under the light (it is kinda small). So the 2nd time I did my thumb , then two fingers at a time and they look perfect and beautiful, it's not all time consuming it was relaxing just pampering yourself and watching a show as you do this !

Maybe it's user error, but I've tried this kit multiple times and the top coat NEVER dries! Not worth it!

I've been living under a rock!! I love this kit. My nails looks so good. For those saying the polish stays sticky: I almost made the same mistake. I didn't realize I had to wipe the nail with the alcohol. The alcohol removes the stickiness and reveals the finished product. Shiny beautiful nails

I've had this set for year now and am very pleased with it! If you follow the instructions, the process takes about an hour. This is far less time than it takes to go to the salon and have them done. I have very long nails and have not had any problems with the polish drying. It is definitely worth the money!

This actually worked! My nails dried instantly after using the UV light (was worried since some said it didn't, but I followed the directions and cured them each step that was required, maybe that makes a difference). No chipping yet, it's been about 4 days.

I bought this product to avoid having to go out to the nail salon in these uncertain times. The kit had everything you need to create a salon quality manicure without too much effort. I've been wearing the polish for a week now and not a single chip. The only con is that you have to cure your thumb separately since all 5 fingers don't fit in the light.

This is a great product and the starter kit is perfect, it's get you everything you need! I followed instructions and also buffed my nails with a different buff that was not provided to really help smooth out my nails and then used the buff stick they provided. Then followed their instructions! With lighter colors I found its better to do a 3rd cost of color for a more solid coloring. This lasted really well and no chips! Once I get better painting with my non-dominant hand this will be great for at home and so worth the money! Best Buy in COVID-19! The light is a smaller, I have to do my thumb separately than the rest of my fingers, but I am okay with that. Would recommend doing the larger light for saving time, probably will purchase the big light, as I do not see salons opening in my area for a while.

pay for this instead of paying for two manicures at a salon! i noticed people saying that it doesn't cure properly but they must have not read the instructions. the first coats are going to be tacky even after drying so DO NOT TOUCH THEM. after the top coat, you're supposed to wipe it down with the purifier to remove the tackiness. my nails look like i went to the salon. i don't think i'm ever going to pay for manicure ever again. so happy with this product!

Love this kit, i had a friend recommend it to me because I've always struggled with regular nail polish. Ive done my nails three times since I've gotten the kit and I'm obsessed. It last for about two weeks at a time and its super easy to do your nails, I also love how the UV lamp has a timer so it turns off automatically. The color i got with my kit wasn't the greatest though because i had to do three coats at a time for it to show. I have since bought a different and its done a little better. I overall really like the kit and would recommend for anyone to try it.

Full disclosure, I actually bought the "Best Day Ever" kit but evidently that kit is no longer available (no wonder I got it for so cheap lol; yay clearance). It appears the only difference though, my kit included some items to prep the nails and foils to help remove polish. I'm so happy with my purchase I wanted to leave a review and this seems to be the closest thing to what I got.
A couple extra notes for full context: 1) my only other experience with gel polish was years ago, purchasing an at home kit I saw in an infomercial. It did not go well. And 2) I'm not very good at painting nails. Very messy. But I still try because I love all the pretty colors. :D
Gave myself a manicure last night and idk if it's the formula of the polish, the brush design, or both, but every step applied so quickly and easily! My hands are pretty shaky so usually I have to go really slow so my nails look somewhat decent. But this stuff seemed to just glide on perfectly with little effort. Even during the tacky phase of each step if I accidentally touched or bumped a nail, it didn't get messed up (this happened with the 1st kit years back). My manicure isn't flawless by any means but I think with some practice it'll get there. I can't afford regular trips to a salon to have pretty nails, so products like this are really great. I would highly recommend these kits and really looking forward to adding more polish colors to my collection!

Dryer is super small, have to do thumb separately. And I have somewhat small hands. Dries well though. The other items in it are good too. Haven't used the nail polish that came with it, but used two from this brand and they're not great.

I was so excited to try this because I love painting my nails but hate having them chip a day later. I was told good things about this by an employee, raving about how awesome it is. I tried it as soon as I got home and it chipped the next day and completely peeled off!! I did it correctly, as I've been doing nails for a long time so I knew what I was doing and this just wasn't it. Also, the nail polish colors are so transparent you'll need about 5 coats to actually look like the color in the bottle which ends up taking a ridiculous amount of time just to do your nails.
I returned this product, and have nothing good to say about it. Don't waste your money...or your time!
