sad

By Jayne

Comments about Models Own Full Face Foundation Stick:

When I used the tester in the store on the back of my hand, the foundation seemed to melt into my skin. Unfortunately at home when I put it on my face, it didn't work like that. My face looked like a patchy oil slick after application.

I love how the foundation is really matte however I had difficulty blending it out and it made my skin look cakey at first so now after I apply but before I blend I spray my face with a Mario badescu spray so it looks more natural, it still ends up matte though. Stays all day.

Comments about Models Own Full Face Foundation Stick:

It went on very smooth. I found myself having to apply a bit more to get a decent coverage, but that doesn't bother me that much. But, it feels heavy on the skin, and I like to add more products on top of that, which doesn't help. For only being $10, it is a decent quality, but there are better options available.

Comments about Models Own Full Face Foundation Stick:

Not bad but definitely not the best. If you have dry skin I DO NOT suggest this product at all. I have oily skin with just a few dry patches along my chin and hair line and this foundation dried to a super powdery finish and clung to the small dry patches/blemishes. It did not blend well with a brush or a sponge, but if I had to choose I would definitely say a brush works best. The coverage is great though. I gave 3 stars because after I used it all over my face, I tried to just use it in my t-zone where I get more oily and that worked fine, because I am more oily there it did not look nearly as bad, but I still put a light layer of liquid foundation over it.

Comments about Models Own Full Face Foundation Stick:

I normally switch up foundations as my skin changes due to weather, hormones, etc...I use Estée Lauder double wear, bare minerals, Tarte.
I wanted something that was not as matte. This was on sale so I thought why not?
Since I moisturize well it glided on smooth. Brushes didn't work great but a blending sponge or fingertips did great. The colors are lighter than they appear, especially at the lighter end of spectrum. I got full coverage but when I put on daughter she did not. It was so full on me it gave a mask appearance. No depth. Instead of a regular setting powder I took a minimal amount of Bare Minerals foundation powder and used as a setting powder. Wow. I am 50 and I got compliments the very first day on how natural my skin looked and if I had work done!
If you aren't moisturized well it tends to make dry spots show up more.
I (gasp) fell asleep with my makeup on that night. When I woke up I still looked like I had makeup on.
I have not broken out. In fact, it seems to dry my skin a bit.
I will stock up on these.
My experience may change when it's 100° out but fall/winter is working great for me!!

                    Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately we can't say for sure as that's not one of our products but we'd recommend a shade range from 15-25.

                • Q:

I know a similar question was asked, but this is different. Can the #01 stick be used in conjunction with any of the other colors, in order to lighten them? If so, how should that be done exactly? Would the #01 be swuped first on to the face then the darker color directly above it? Or, must we combine the 2 shades on a palette or our hand first then apply with either fingertips or brush?

                    Hi

                    Thanks for your enquiry.

We'd recommend using a buffing foundation brush and taking a bit of both shades on the brush before buffing into the skin.

Alternatively, you can draw a couple of lines from both sticks onto your face and buff in using a brush or a sponge to blend both colours together.

                    Kind regards
