Most Helpful Positive Review wait the two weeks
My skin was in really bad shape and I needed something to get rid of my greasy, flakey, broken out red face. Thought I would give this a try. The first week I used NO makeup and when I would wake up in the morning after using the night booster my skin looked FLAWLESS!. But, the first 4 days my skin HATED the daily fresh pressed and my skin got dry/greasy and flakey and I was breaking out even more after the days end. The first week using this I gave it a mental score of 3/5 for the day one and 5/5 night. Paid money so I kept using both. Week 2 I started using makeup again and my skin really started looking better. The grease went away, my face felt smooth, my acne was decreasing. I really enjoy this duo product. I'm glad I kept using both and waited the whole 2 weeks to let it get rid of all the problems on my skin. Will buy again even though it is pricey and only lasts 2 weeks. 5/5 night 4.5/5 day
Most Helpful Critical Review Bad Delivery System & Value
As a guy who has been let down by Clinique's inability to provide a SERIOUS anti-aging product in the men's line, I was really excited to see this new release. In addition, I feel as if Clinique has finally started to listen to those of us who have been asking for a retinol-based product for years now. For that, I thank you.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend this product whatsoever for various reasons.
1.) The delivery system is just downright dismal. Upon opening the box, you are provided with two chambers. One for the vitamin-c and another for the retinol product. You have to remove the foil seals and then press the rubber buttons for each product to activate and then you have to shake for a specified amount of time. Upon each use, you have to shake again for 15 seconds, press the button and apply. When Clinique has to put illustrated diagrams of each of these processes on the box lid, in addition to the product insert sheet, it's just too much!
2.) I don't like the caps! This may sound trivial, but if you have to constantly align the cap in JUST the right spot without it falling off, I'm not impressed.
3.) Speaking of the cap, you have to be careful upon each application because the serum starts to leak out on its own without having the press the activation button. We shouldn't have to hold the product upside down to prevent the product from leaking out!
4.) Clinique sells the vitamin-c product independently, why not the retinol? This issue coupled with the fact that it only lasts 7 days (total of 14 uses they say) is just a bad value here. I see what Clinique was trying to do from a "suits in the boardroom" perspective, but I'm NOT buying it -- literally and figuratively.

I am very unhappy with this purchase and product I made it this purchase for my wife who has arthritis. 1st. It is not an easy item to open and use, you have to shake every use and pump the product out which hurts her hands. Not user friendly. 2nd. For the amount of money I paid for 2 little small bottles, What a waste of money....she thought she was getting a full 30 days and not 7 days and now if you your skin has a problem it the product, you have to throw it away after 7 days, that is definably not explain on the website clearly enough. She and I was purchasing this thinking that is was like most of your products that she has bought in the past which you get a full 30 day or more of uses, not true!!. I would like a refund or an exchange or something that is more user friendly for her. Thank you
It keeps my skin in good condition every day.

It's great. It keeps my skin in the best shape.
Not for sensitive skin
BeeHD from Pensacola, Fl
Loved it... but it was too much for my skin. After 7 days my skin was super sensitive to the touch. I like the concept... but I could not use this daily.
Product Really Works

Thank you for the packaging which allows me to get the freshest possible application and not worry about how long it has set in a warehouse or store before i purchase!!! I used the moisture surge moisturizer with both applications and have just finished my 2 week starter package. I noticed a difference the first week in my skin tone and wrinkles.

I love all my products from Clinique! Sadly this was the exception it make no difference in my skin whatsoever, my skin got super dry in just seven days! It was a waste of money! Super disappointed 😔
Nice but expensive
SueB74 from Minnesota
I like the product but how you get the product out of the container is inconvenient and cumbersome. I pushed the tube twice but seemed to get varying amounts of the product out. I don't like not know how much is in the tube.
I was also really disappointed with the price. This is out of my price range and out of Clinque's price range (I believe).
I've done my research and have found another product to use.
Eleni from Florida
This stuff is great! I see alot of bad reviews and it CLEARLY states on the carton that you're face can get red peel and irritated from the retinol and if that occured DO NOT USE EVERYDAY also it states that it should be used in 7 days however it remains good for 14 days. So far i love the products!

Deceptive Product - Not worth buying.
SAhmad from New York, NY
Very deceptive marketing of the product.
The packaging of the serums is very weird & not user friendly.
The product only "works" for 7 days.
Very deceptive product - Can't believe I got tricked.
I thought I could trust Clinque, but have learned I cannot.

I like the vitamin c more than the retinol
But both nice
I wish they will consider reducing the price, or make refills
Magic little additions!
LadyKate from Minneapolis
I add the vitamin C to my morning lotion, & A to my nightly lotion, & I can see a tremendous difference! Less wrinkles & more even skin tone! These are definitely a favorite!
I love this product but it's expensive
Chrissy from Charlotte
For reference I'm 20 and have some premature smile lines and a crease above my eyebrow where I raise it lol. I notice a better texture in my skin as well since using it for 2 weeks. The product IS ABSOLUTELY clear it needs to be used in one week if you just read the labels before buying products. It is my favorite vitamin c product and it smells very earthly/vitamin-y so at least placebo wise I feel like I'm doing something good for my skin. I think I will be looking for another vitamin C alternative/dupe because of the price and it's not logical for me at this time. I really love this product.
Good but Not for Sensitive Skin
LindaKP from Apollo, PA
The Vitamin C and A did initially make your skin glow and appear poreless, but skin sensitivity made it impossible for me to use all seven days of either product within two weeks. As a result, lots was thrown away. If the product didn't expire after two weeks, I would have tried to use it for more days maybe twice a week, as that was all I could tolerate.

Love the vitamin c, hate the retinol
Kalene from Temecula,CA
I've been using the vitamin c booster for months with no affects other than positive. The retinol on the other hand made my face peel, especially around my mouth area and it took weeks to go away! I had to use a sheet mask every morning and it barely made a difference. I wouldn't use the retinol! I definitely recommend the vitamin c though, it doesnt break me out and it has made a big difference in my discoloration and scars from acne. My skin glows but the retinol is super strong and I dont think its moisturizing enough for what it is. I didnt finish the bottle, I wont put it near my face.
Disappointed in Vitamin A Product
BSS from Jacksonville, FL
I'm a longtime customer and fan of Clinique; I trust their products with my sensitive skin. I've been highly recommending the Vitamin C product to my friends and family ever since I tried it a while ago. I noticed brightening and smoothening and an overall refreshed look. I bought this combo pack hoping for great results with the addition of the Vitamin A product, but instead it caused my face to be dry and red and irritated. When I mentioned this to my dermatologist, she said that with a vitamin A product, you should really start by applying it 2-3 times a week instead of every night and work up to every night only if your skin can handle it. Well, it was too late, since I already threw out the product after the reaction my skin had to it--a waste of money. This is the first time I've been disappointed with a product from Clinique, but it makes me hesitate to try a new product like this from the company.
Beautifully Broken from ohio
the vitamin C stuff didn't absorb into my skin just dried on top of it & did nothing. I also don't like how you have to rush to use it. The Retinol one I liked. my skin did get dry & peel but helped my skin with blemishes & look better in general. I'd buy the purple one again. just make sure you have a good moisturizer.
Love the concept but to expensive
Jen777 from Tampa, FL
I like the idea of add these but it just didn't work for me. I really didn't see a difference in my sick by using both of these.
LOVE but I'm broke :(

This product changed my skin care routine and really opened my eyes to vitamin C and A. However I cannot afford to keep buying it once a week. I usually buy it 2 weeks before an event that I want my skin to look fresh for. Obsessed with it, just wish the price was lower or the product lasted longer.
I would keep buying this product

Love! Love! Love this product!
BUYER BEWARE product burnt my face
Lisa from New York
This product is dangerous and my dermatologist said it should not be sold like this. The directions were not clear as to how to use this when the product first came out and it had burnt my face and received swelling and blisters all along my eye and mouth area. I wish I could post a picture to show you. I contacted Clinique and was only offered a free bottle of perfume 😠 I see that since my letter to them the directions are better explained. Ask a dermatologist they will also tell you DONT USE THIS PRODUCT
AWFUL: THE RETINOL VITAMIN A SERUM
Caitlyn62 from CT
First I love clinique and my skincare routine is almost soley from this brand that I adore. I love trying out new releases and products from Clinique but this one was a huge hit! (vitamin C serum) and a big MISS(retinol/vitamin A serum) for me. I am absolutely in love with the vitamin c serum and use it everyday. It gives me a glow and makes my skin look amazing! I give that serum a 5/5 stars! In love! I buy the bundles of just vitamin C all the time and am inlove with this new morning aspect of my skincare routine!
HOWEVER!!!! I gave this review 1/5 because I needed to get my point across that the retinol vitamin A serum is AWFUL! I really wanted to have a retinol in my skincare routine and quickly learned this was not the one. It came with almost NO PRODUCT! The vitamin C serum lasted me over a month longer than the retinol and vitamin A one. The product itself was bad too, I would have liked to see a lot more active ingredients! It just did not seem to make my skin feel or look any healthier. INEFFECTIVE. I don't recommend this vitamin A retinol serum AT ALL.
Would reccommend to get the bundle of JUST vitamin C serums!!
Wonderful product- to expensive
Lauryn from Michigan
I loved this product but for a weeks worth it is way to expensive. I have pretty bad scarring from hormonal acne and it did help but unfortunately I can not afford to keep going with this. It's a shame that I finally find something that works but I can't afford it.
