Most Helpful Positive Review Not orange, good smell! This tanner has a very nice smell, not your typical self-tanner smell. It has a spray bottle that you spray on the mitt and apply wherever you'd like. It is a nice natural tone, that is dark enough for me. I have a golden-colored skin, so any product that comes out slightly orange, looks super orange on me... not this one! It's amazing. I would touch up every other day if you want to keep it up. If not, it may fade away within a few days. Highly recommend! The picture is what it looks like after one coat, right away. It gets darker throughout the day.
Most Helpful Critical Review Good for a hint of color... I, too, have tried many many different kinds of sunless tanners and I'm still searching for the perfect one. I am nearly convinced it doesn't exist. Ha! This Spray smells lovely (like tropical coconuts) but its fairly strong. After developing, it does have that hint of "sunless tanner" smell, but it's bearable. The color guide is a nice brown and develops quickly. Slight rub off, but not as bad as others I've tried with a color guide. But after showering (and especially after shaving) the color you are left with is a light tan...like a natural olive skin tone. I applied two nights in a row and the color looked the same. Perhaps if you applied daily you could get that dark brown color, but for the cost, I don't find that feasible. Did clog the pores on my décolleté as well. Little brown dots are quite unattractive.
As it's fading, it is a little splotchy. Not quite alligatory, but uneven. It does exfoliate off fairly easily, though.
Applying with the mitt was easy enough, but I felt a lot of the product was wasted---I felt I needed to spray a lot to get the coverage I desired. Therefore it didn't go as far as I was hoping. Not practical for the price.
Even though the product is good, it's not the dark tan I was looking for. I returned the product. But if you are looking for a natural, nice smelling sunless tanner, this one is decent. Just not for me!

I use this product with the mitt provided by spraying it on the mitt, then applying to skin. It's goes on evenly and dries quickly. I like the color it produces( not orangey). Usually I apply couple hours before bed after showering so color can set in well.

this is one of the first self tanners I ever tried and no matter how many I try I do seem to always come back to this one. I just feel it's easy to use, nice color and not a terrible smell.

I think this might be my first beauty product review. I typically tell myself I'm going to write one and never do, BUT I had to write one on this.
I've tried so many self tanners: Tan Luxe, Tanologist, St. Moriz, Jergens, St. Tropez etc.
Fake Bake is sooo underrated! I was apprehensive due to having to spray it on the mitt then apply. I've never used a spray like this.
Applied, woke up and couldn't wait to see the results. I was soooo pleasantly surprised! I didn't wake up wanting to take a shower ASAP due to smell. The color is so even. I haven't showered yet and it hasn't been 24hrs but so far I plan to purchase again, and again.
I've never thought this after trying different sunless tanners!

Washes right off as soon as you shower, waste of money. I waited 7-8 hours and lightly showered and it STILL all came off.

I was so surprised at how bad this was because all of the reviews were so positive. PROS: I love the smell. No nasty fake tan smell. Probably the nicest application of any fake tanner I've use because it wasn't sticky or tacky AT ALL. It was so nice I could just get in bed comfortably without feeling sticky and gross. After that it went down hill so fast. CONS: washed off immediately even though I kept it on over night. The little bit that did stay on was so patchy. The tan lasted for hardly even a day. So disappointing because I was so excited about how it wasn't sticky.

I'm extremely pale, like almost translucent. In the winter I don't really care but in the summer I stick out like a sore thumb! I can't go to the beach or on a boat without someone telling me how pale I am. I've tried self tanners before but they looked terrible, but since we're in quarantine I thought I'd try this one out because of the reviews. it's the best tanner I've tried, no streaking and it didn't collect on my hands, knees, or feet. I have a nice subtle glow and I'm excited to try it out for summer and go out without feeling self conscious about being pale OR having a gross looking tan. If you feel exhausted by self tanners, give this one a try.

I just had a horrific experience with bondi boost - i live in vegas it's 117 in summer and it RUBBED OFF MY INNER LEG ON MY CLOTHES and completely came off. I looked SILLY! but i was recommended this after not loving the bondi boost or saint tropez. AND OMG - it dries so fast, no streaking and i just need a lil boost of color so this is perfect and it actually smells great!! I love it

Dried fast, went on super even. Most natural looking self tanner I've ever tried. Has a bit of red undertones but compliments my skin tone nicely. Not sure it was dark enough for my personal taste but I do look like I spent some time on the beach for sure. My mom didn't even know it wasn't a real tan!

My friend introduced this to me and I have been using it ever since. Love this stuff. Super easy and always looks great. I'm fair and apply it before bed. Can leave pigment on light-colored sheets but it come right out in the wash!

I am pretty fair skinned - my fam is from the UK. My dad has stage 4 melanoma so the sun is not something I like to f with. I started using the Fake Bake Coconut Serum and loved it and decided to try this. I love it. It gives me a dark, natural looking tan that doesn't seem fake. No orange and with the mitt goes on really easily. I highly recommend!

I literally love this self tanner. I've tried every tanner I could get my hands on and this by far is my favorite. It's a spray (genius) and applies beautifully. The color is perfect. I wasn't patchy or streaky at all. It dries super fast. And I don't smell like tanner at all!!

Once you spray it on your body, good luck trying to make it look even. It only shows up where you spray and the color is a red tint. I was told that it looked like I had a sunburn.

I'm pale. Like, PALE pale. I've tried alllllll the things when it comes to faking a tan. I've been professionally sprayed with custom color. I've used allllll the mousses and lotions you can think of. Single day stuff. "Express" stuff. Gradual stuff. In- shower stuff. Seriously. I've tried it. And when it comes to doing the task myself, I've been a St.Tropez girl for several years now. Last week I finally pulled the trigger on purchasing Fake Bake Flawless. The only one I hadn't tried yet, for whatever reason. And this stuff... This Fake Bake stuff might just be a good as it gets for diy sunless tanning. No joke.

This is my 3rd year of using the self tan liquid. My local Ulta was out of this product and purchased the Flawless Darker. I found the darker to streak, not cover evenly and didn't keep the color as long as the regular Flawless. I am returning the darker and exchanging to the regular.
Works best for me if I apply at night.

Okay, so here is the thing. I am printer paper white. Can't get my shade in foundation, have to buy white foundation and add color to it. Fake tanning is a guilty pleasure of mine. I treat it like cutting bangs. Think about it for a few weeks, finally do it one night at like 10pm and IMMEDIATELY regret it. It's always so bad but I know that when I do it. Every time I just hope a miracle that it will turn out good but it is always orange and uneven. I was GENUINELY AMAZED when this developed. It's natural and very even. I highly recommend it and the fact that the gloves and a (quality) mitt comes with is even better. This will be the first self tanner I repurchase.

This has the most natural and dark tan that I've ever gotten from a self tanner! It doesn't cling to dry skin but also dries down very quickly, never leaves me feeling tacky and gross. Has the most beautiful color of any tan I've tried (I've tried a lot of them). Never turns me orange and lasts for about a week and fades evenly. Overall the best self tanner and pretty affordable!

it's not that i have the skin tone that can't tan I just don't so I am insanely pale at the moment. I usually use jergens mousse (for years actually) but wanted to try something new(aka better)...this may cost double the jergens but everything about it makes it 1000% worth it!! my first time using a mitt to apply self tanner and it came out BEAUTIFULLY. It has a strong yet great tropical scent in the bottle but after it dries you can't hardly smell anything at all-- waaaay better than the thick nasty smell and feeling jergens always leaves behind. I literally put on one coat last night before bed after doing a light exfoliation( as I had shaved and deeply exfoliated the day prior), smoothed it on, took like 10 minutes to dry completely. there's not a streak in sight, no smell, and my skin is actually softer and the color is so incredibly natural, nowhere near orange! I'm officially a customer for life.

I was really hoping this was promising as all the reviews sounded. I should have just stuck with Jergens lotion... I wanted to try this so bad so I forked up the money to get it. It's a beautiful color without a doubt. But you can't sit down hours after putting it on... at least for me no. I even exfoliated before and everything. It's left streak marks and white spots wherever the most motion is or where it's stuck to something. I will say it's a beautiful color I just wish it worked for me. I was so hopeful.
