Comments about Laura Geller Filter Fix Baked Correcting Setting Powder:

I use this product every time I apply foundation. I have a medium skin tone. My skin is also very oily and uneven, redness commonly appears around t-zone, and eye area is several shades lighter than rest of face. Because of this, I especially like the apricot shade, it works as a color corrector. I also never have issues using it to bake my looks, like some others have noted. I've used several brands for powder and this one definitely works best for my needs!

I'm a new makeup user and this was recommended to be by beauty consultant. It didn't live up to the hype but did work ok. It's makes a mess when you use it and I prefer a matte finish and I feel this gave a look that was too dewy

This was sold to me buy a reo(which she was amazing) just not for me, I put this on after my concealer and it literaly is not UNIVERSAL... it was ORANGE. DO NOT BAKE WITH THIS. Seems like a nice powder for just a dusting over your face but do not use for bake.. I would settle with DERMABLEND or Laura mercier.

Comments about Laura Geller Filter Fix Baked Correcting Setting Powder:

I wanted to love this, really! The powder itself is silky smooth and goes on really nicely, but the color just didn't match. And this is the only color it comes in. I'm of Asian and Caucasian descent, and I'm having a hard time understanding how a company can label makeup "universal" when it will clearly only work for fair-skinned Caucasian people with pink undertones.

3 stars because it really is a great product...if you're white.

I was in a rush and asked an associate what their best setting powder was. She pointed me to this. I commented on the color and that I needed it to set my under eye area. She said that it was translucent. It's not. I'm fair and it looks like I put blush directly under my eyes

            WONDERFUL

            By hex

            from Dallas, TX

Comments about Laura Geller Filter Fix Baked Correcting Setting Powder:

I'm very fair with oily skin and this setting powder makes my skin look and feel wonderful. I don't have any problem with the mesh or wasting powder. I simply turn the powder over, with the lid still fastened, then give it a few knocks with the handle of my makeup brush. Turn it right side up, remove lid, and voila- the perfect amount of powder is in the mesh. Dip your brush in, tap off excess, apply to face, repeat! It really makes my skin look so silky smooth!

Anything that is light and fluffy! And nothing that is too dense or else it'll pick up too much pigment.

I'm in my 40's and I'm not fan of anything that makes me look like disco ball or emphasizes my pores or wrinkles. A little glow is okay but I prefer a more matte powder. Could you tell me what kind of finish it has?

                  A:

This has a completely matte finish. Because of the apricot shade, it will neutralize the skin tone and slightly brighten the complexion. I think you'll love it!

I am sorry, this does not come with a brush. I do recommend using anything that is light, fluffy, and not too dense.

Will this look pink or orange on a yellow toned pale (ivory) complexion especially if I apply using a powder puff?

                Thanks

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

This will not look pink or orange. It goes on the skin as if it were translucent, however the apricot color simply brightens the complexion. It slightly neutralizes the skin tone by brightening and blurring skin imperfections. I highly recommend giving it a try!

              • Q:

Will this powder over foundation keep you matte? Will this add additional coverage? Will it be a pinkish color when applied?

                1 answer

                • Brand Expert

                  A:

This will absolutely keep your foundation looking matte! It will not add additional coverage, and the color looks like a natural skin tone when applied. The apricot powder does not look pinkish, it simply slightly neutralizes the skin and brightens. It is also very universal and looks gorgeous on all skin tones, whether you're very fair or on the deeper end of the spectrum!

You absolutely can! You can use it before, OR after. It all comes down to a personal preference. I like to use it after, that way it'll blend down the bronzer making everything look very natural. Enjoy!
