Disapointed in results. Color looked good on the white blonde parts of my hair, but made the yellow blonde sections turn a pink orange color instead. I suggest having a white blonde base before applying this product! Lasted only two days for me

According to the box my hair would be labeled as "Light Blonde". Therefore, I figured if I do everything then why shouldbf my color turn out like the picture on the box . WRONG my hair is somewhat an Indigo blue . Next, time I'll follow my instinct and leave my hand alone especially with box colors

Comments about L'Oréal Feria Smokey Pastels:

I neglected to absorb the fact that the color is "Smokey Lavender". I was just so thrilled with the color on the box. I do know that if something is "smokey" it means there is ash coloring in there and that my hair will turn very dark. Such was the case. After several washes and rinses with hydrogen peroxide, the color has come from dark grey with lavender overtones to something softer. I still have a long ways to go before I get to the color that was on the box. My hair was the lightest color represented on the box color chart and has not been colored in a couple of years.
Otherwise, I have always loved Feria. It makes my hair feel good.

Comments about L'Oréal Feria Smokey Pastels:

I had been wanting to try pastel hair for awhile, and was really excited to try the Smokey Pink. I'm far from being an expert when it comes to hair dye, but I have tried many colors in the past. I had bleached my hair a few weeks in preparation and used a toning shampoo to get it as white as possible. I got nothing like the box shows. It barely added any color to my hair, and the few spots the color did take were more orange than pink. I was very disappointed, seeing I could have bought the dye I usually use for around the same price.

Comments about L'Oréal Feria Smokey Pastels:

My hair is, for the most part, grey. I've been using this smokey lavender for well over a year and love it. Apparently so do a lot of people, because I get stopped all the time and complimented on the color. I've used it over a medium blonde dye as well and it worked fantastic for me, but wouldn't promise it'd work the same for everyone. I have very thick, wavy to curly hair that barely reaches my shoulders. I use two boxes of dye on it; I don't wash my hair every day. The color lasts for weeks, though it begins to fade after several washes. Even then, it's a beautiful shade of lavender as it fades. I'd recommend lightening your hair if it's not a pale blonde, and toning it if it's brassy. Happy coloring to you!

I love this color! I used the pink on my medium to light gray hair. It is so fun! I decided to go gray and have that for 1 or 2yrs. I hated getting that senior discount question! I just couldn't get used to that gray. Now my hair looks Fab!!
I do think I will leave it on longer the next time I color it. It's only been a couple of weeks and it's faded a little but I still will probably will use this color for ever!! It is so fun. If you have gray hair go for it, you will not regret it. I can't do blonde cause it washes me out with my olive toned skin. The pink makes me sassy, Sassy! Too fun!

I got the pastel pink one, got it professionally bleached and all undertones balanced. we dyed it with the feria and immediately I noticed it was a gorgeous cotton candy pink and it lasted about 2 days pink before it became a really unflattering orange and it was very patchy. I wouldn't use it again because it was almost worthless.

I bought the smokey lavender because I am not very pleased with the results of my last color. I used a 9/13 boxed colour. My question is will this colour turn out to be what's on the box? Is my hair light enough?

Hi Amy! Thank you for inquiring about our Smokey Pastels Haircolor. If you hair is a Dark Blonde or lighter, you will see the results that are shown on the box. However, because you have previous color on your hair, and it is very light, you may see a result that is much lighter than the color shown on the box. If you would like to discuss this further, please call our toll free guideline number (800)-631-7358. We hope this helps!

What color will I end up with if I proceed to use the lavender? And if I use blue will it counter my orange hair like a toner would and I would end up with a lighter brown?

We do not recommend using any of our Feria Smokey Pastel shades on orange hair. We are not sure what your result would be. You can bleach again in 2 weeks to finish the lightening process. If you would like to go back to a light brown, you can color in 2 weeks with Feria 60 Crystal Brown.

To get the soft, smokey blue pictured on the box for the P1 its recommended to use this shade on hair that's natural light blonde or hair that has been bleached to a light blonde. Darker hair will not see the same results.

We do not recommend using this shade on gray/white hair. The result might be a much brighter purple, instead of a pastel purple. It may not do anything to the darker pieces at all. We hope this helps!
