Comments about L'Oréal Feria Multi-Faceted Shimmering Colour:

I should start by saying i had first blacked my hair once I saw about an inch of grown out roots. Well, the roots lifted wonderfully but the rest of my hair looked pretty splotchy in a bronze, dark brown, highlight way. I picked up the black in hopes to cover it all up. I got blue. It's been a little over a week and the blue has faded quite a bit but my roots are still holding onto the blue. That being said, I absolutely LOVE the color. I'll definitely use it again but I'm pretty nervous to see what color I get next... I would not recommend this product if you're not up for an adventure and possible surprise.

I have sections in my hair that are purple and blue. Will this (shade 50 Havana Brown) be able to color over it?

                      A:

Hi there! We would not suggest using a permanent haircolor on hair that has been colored a vibrant shade because it may cause discoloration. We would suggest shampooing to fade out the purple/pink tones as much as possible before applying the #50 Havana Brown shade. Thanks for your question!

Hi Deb. Our Feria shades are designed to be very tonal, meaning that they are typically more vibrant and bright. If you are trying to avoid a result that is too dark we suggest avoiding shades that are numbered in the 10, 20 and 30 level ranges, as these shades are the darkest/black shades. We hope you find the perfect color for you!

Hi Shirley! There is no color you can use to correct what you have now. Its tricky put darker color into pale hair without getting a discoloration like you're seeing now. Until the discoloration fades out on its own over time or is removed, you really can't successfully use another color. (you'll just end up with a different discoloration) At this point it looks like a salon is your best option to remove the discoloration, fix the color in the roots and put natural looking color into your pale ends. Its a big job and too much for the home user to do on your own.

I've previously dyed my hair to a medium auburn color but I wanted to lighten it to a more coppery kind of color, would the copper shimmer shade work well? Or would I have to lighten my hair before I dye it?

                      A:

Hi mv! Haircolor cannot lighten haircolor, so applying the Copper Shimmer over a medium auburn shade would not give you the copper shade you're looking for. Since you've been using a darker shade, we'd recommend shampooing to fade with a non color-treated shampoo before going in with the lighter color. Hope this helps!

I used to have rose gold ombré that I maintained using viral shampoo. My tips right now are a darker blonde color, like a honey gold blonde. Will the Feria rose gold hair dye be able to stay true to color even if my blonde isn't as light?

For best results, your hair must be naturally a 6 Light Brown or lighter to use the Feria Rose Gold! Otherwise, you can bleach your hair and use our semi-permanent Colorista line shade Pink or Soft Pink!
