Only good for virgin hair.

By Amanda

Comments about L'Oréal Feria Absolute Platinum:

I don't know why I used this product twice, when both times were a failure. The first time I excused it for having dark, often colored hair. I'm writing this fresh from the shower the second time and my hair is a lot lighter, but the same color as before but with more yellow. My roots are pure platinum, so for virgin hair, go for it. find something else if you're trying to get rid of previously dyed hair.

Comments about L'Oréal Feria Absolute Platinum:

This product seemed successfully as the desired platinum color change did occur for a moment, until 3 hours later I washed the color out only to be left with orange hair color. I am truly just confused because the product had so much potential, but it does not stick.

I've bleached my hair in the past with products I've gotten from Sally's with no problems. I bought the Absolute Plantinum because I was at the grocery store and it was convenient.the product burn my scalp so bad that I just couldn't leave it in for the full time.in less than 10 minutes I runsed it out and lost a patch of hair on the left side. I now have swelling were the burned spot was and can't even were a cap outside

I've always used plain bleach for my hair and have just started using this product within the past year, it's easy to use, and gives me the same result as bleach. If you are going from darker hair to blonde IT WILL TAKE 1 OR 2 TIMES TO GET FULL BLONDE, also if going from dark to blonde be sure to use a toner with it so you do not get that orange/yellow color. I use this product once a month and I have done a lot of damage to my hair from bleach but this product didn't damage it too much. I loved that. Overall it is great! Absolutely the best platinum Box die! (& trust me I've tried many)

I followed the instructions up until the wait time. The box claimed to be able to lighten hair 7 levels, I left it in for TWICE the max time limit and my hair was only lifted maybe 2 levels. I have dark brown hair naturally and it was a color example shown on the side of the box however my results were nowhere near similar. Go to the store and buy yourself some old fashioned hair bleaching supplies because I promise you they'll work better and more effectively than this.

I just dyed my light blonde hair with the very platinum color a week ago and it has hints of yellow in it. Should I try the absolute platinum instead? My hair is naturally a dirty blonde and I have dyed it lighter for a few years with a different brand but wanted to go lighter.

            A:

Hi there! Both the Very Platinum and the Absolute Platinum work in similar ways; they will each lighten your hair through stages to get to a platinum shade. We would not suggest applying a bleach to your hair again right now because it could cause the lighter areas of the hair to over lighten and possibly cause breakage We'd suggest taking a look at our EverPure Blonde Shampoo, Conditioner and Shade Reviving Treatment. These products are all designed to help neutralize brassy tones in blonde, color-treated hair to give it a more natural look. We hope this helps!

            A:

Hello! By not mixing the lightening creme, your hair will most likely not lighten up as much as expected. All of the kit components are required to lighten the hair to its full potential, so we would suggest rinsing the product out before it has the chance to start lightening, waiting 48 hours, then trying again! We hope this helps!

I've been using L'Oréal highlift extra light natural blonde #02 for several months. Prior to that I used L'Oréal lightest ultimate blonde #10 for years. My natural hair color is 70% Light silver-gray. Right now I'm a light blonde exactly the color shown on the #10 box so the #02 didn't change my hair color at all, but I still want to go platinum. Is this permanent hair color, and will I get platinum results? My hair is thin, but in ok condition. I fear getting orange hair!!! Please advise. Thank you so much

            A:

Hi! Our Feria Absolute Platinum is a lightening product that lightens the hair through stages. The longer it is left on, the lighter the hair gets. We always recommend performing a strand test so you can know how long to leave the product on to get to the desired lightness. We do not recommend exceeding the recommended time on the instructions.

Hello! My hair has been box dyed a light auburn and my 1" roots are a medium Brown. I have extremely healthy hair (just started dyeing it a year ago) but it is fine. Will this product work for my hair and, if so, will it cause a lot of breakage?

            A:

            Hi!
Because your hair is color-treated, it will not lighten the same as natural hair would. The existing artifical color will have to be removed first. If you want to go blonde, we would recommend having it done at a salon, and when it is time to touch up the roots, you can use the Feria Absolute Platinum to bleach the roots. We hope this information is helpful!

We are very sorry that this happened. When your hair turns orange/brassy tones, it is because you are using a shade too light for your natural hair color. You can re-color using a 7 Dark Blonde for next time!

Hi Maddiemarie, we would not recommend using this. Since your hair is already a pale yellow, if you lighten it any more you can over process your hair and experience breakage.

            A:

HI Ty, we are sorry you got an orange blonde result with Feria 11.11 Ultra Cool Blonde. It sounds like your hair is too dark for 11.11. If it has been 48 hours since you colored, and as long as your hair is all warmed-toned (no pale blonde/white pieces) and is in good condition, you can use Absolute Platinum. Make sure to watch your hair carefully since it may not take very long to lighten to a pale blonde shade.
