Designed for sensitive skin and beginner retinol users. The formula combines retinol and advanced peptides, two gold standard ingredients to help soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and impart firmer looking skin with a smoother texture. The 0.25% pure concentrate in the formula is balanced with First Aid Beauty's proprietary skin saver complex to deliver the benefits of retinol with minimal irritation.

The skin saver complex is comprised of hyaluronic acid, vitamins C + E, aloe, colloidal oatmeal, allantoin and ceramides that together help comfort, nourish and support skin health, alleviating the irritation often associated with retinol-based products, leaving the complexion feeling soothed with a refreshed and rejuvenated look.
Apply 1-2 pumps evenly over clean skin up to three times weekly gradually increasing frequency to every other night and then to every evening as tolerated. Avoid lips, eyes and eye corners. For PM use only.

Precautions: It is normal for some redness, flaking or dryness to occur when first using any retinol-based product. If this continues for more than two weeks, we recommend applying FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum over your favorite PM moisturizer.

Comments about First Aid Beauty FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum:

I have sensitive combination skin that gets easily irritated using products similar to this so I was hesitant to try this. I'll be turning 30 soon and I've started to notice early signs of aging and I wanted a product that could help with that. I love the brand and after reading reviews I decided to pick it up at my local Ulta. I use it as my serum every night and it hasn't irritated my skin at all and has definitely helped firm my skin and even my skin tone. I've noticed a slight reduction in the size of my pores as well. It's pretty moisturizing on its own so on the rare occasion that my skin gets congested and I skip using my nightcream for a night this alone does just fine. The one thing I was disappointed with was the packaging. It's impossible to dispense when it gets low and there's no way to manually scoop the product out so you're not getting your money's worth but I'll still probably repurchase this product since I've seen great results so far.

Comments about First Aid Beauty FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum:

I bought this because my skin has been crazy lately with breakouts, redness, and uneven skin tone from acne healing. I was worried about using retinol since I have sensitive skin, but this product seemed safe enough for it after reading the description and ingredients. I started out using it as recommended, every few nights, and over the course of the month I've transitioned to using it every night. This stuff is a bit pricey but a little goes a very long way (you only need a pea size amount!) and I recommend using a heavier moisturizer after putting it on because you will notice your skin's a bit dryer once you start using retinol.

This stuff doesn't irritate my skin, it's helped clear my breakouts, and I've noticed my skin looks much smoother, even, redness is reduced, and its even helped control oil. This stuff is seriously awesome!

My only complaints: The smell isn't that great and it's a bit greasy but for how well it works, I don't mind those drawbacks. My final issue with the product is the pump dispenser on it sucks. After using it for a few weeks the product stopped coming out of the pump and I had to break open my bottle (because there's no easy way to open it) and sure enough half the product was still left inside. I explained this to FAB Customer Service and they resolved the issue the same day. Just for the awesome customer service and how great the product works I'll definitely be buying this again!

Comments about First Aid Beauty FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum:

Having never used a retinol before I found this one to be great. I am 21 and have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin. The reason I bought a retinol was because they help with the skin cell turnover which is helpful for my acne. I really like this one because FAB has great skin soothing ingredients in the retinol to help keep it from getting overly irritated when using a retinol. I find that it works better for me to use it every other night. When I used it every night my skin was dry and flakey and just over all not happy (that is totally due to my skin type and not the formula). While you have to expect that with a retinol I just changed to using it every other night my skin went back to normal and has been loving it! I may try using it every night after I use it for a while longer but I definitely recommend that if you are like me and have never used a retinol just try every other night. You still get the benefits without the irritation. I can definitely say that when I run out I will be repurchasing, though I have a feeling that won't be for quite a while as a little goes a long way with this product!
