Most Helpful Positive Review my fav exfoliant for sensitive skin i love this exfoliant. a bottle i purchased in mid march just lasted me til last month! (used 1 to 2 pumps every 2 or 3 days) if you are a skin picker, have a peeling sunburn, sensitive or sensitized skin, or have had a chemical peel (ask derm or esthetician first) this is amazing to use to get rid of the appearance of flaking, peeling and even some texture in my experience. it balls up all the dead skin with no trace of abrasion and then rinses off pretty easily. when i go to re apply in the same spot it doesnt roll up anymore, which is so cool. this helped reduce the appearance of my sebaceous filaments also.
im a licensed cosmetologist and when clients ask me about my routine i always include this product.
Most Helpful Critical Review Didn't notice a difference... I have always had oily, acne prone skin. A friend recommended this product. I used it several times and never noticed a difference. It did leave my skin feeling fresh and clean, but I feel that the balling up of the product is a trick to make you think it's working. I was told the chemicals exfoliate the dead skin cells off=the balling up of product as you rub it in. I tested this by applying it a few times on repeat and it always balled up but i'd still have dry patches and black heads that i feel should have been cleared up if the product did as described. Idk, maybe I used it wrong.

a friend gifted me this and at first i loved it. it does leave your skin extremely soft. however about every other time i use this product it gets stuck in clumps along my lower cheek/jawline and becomes impossible to remove. i am NOT a hairy person and i barely have any peach fuzz on my face so i am really not sure why this is happening. trying to pick off the clumps is extremely painful - similar to waxing but worse because the clumps are very small and there are a lot of them so i've literally spent all morning trying to pick them off one by one. as other people have had similar reactions i definitely think this is something boscia needs to address ASAP

I used this product after washing my face and dried it, the texture of it was very soft and smooth I was curious how it was going to exfoliate. Immediately the dead skin came off and I was in the shower thinking what is going to be left of my face lol it is a peel so I understood that my face could be a little dry afterwards and it did leave my jawline area a bit dry but that is where I'm breaking out the most during my pregnancy. I used the cactus water moisturizer because it's watery and when I woke up my skin was no longer dry, thankfully and the texture has improved so much. This has been the most effective exfoliator I've used to date. Boscia just kills it every time. I got this as a sample and after one use I'm going to purchase it, I'm going to experiment and use it daily to see if it'll help my acne and stop if it dries me out too much and then I will use it here and there. But I love this product. For each there own.

A Ulta employee recommended this to me, I've had so many skin problems lately and she told me I needed to exfoliate and recommended this since I have sensitive skin. The first couple times I was blown away, and don't get me wrong - your face feels super refreshed after you use it. But I specifically asked if it would stick to my fine facial hair and she said no. Now it's starting to stick in my cheeks and along my jawline, and they're hard to get off. I had to literally shave the fine hair to get it all off which I try to avoid doing.

I have very dry skin and this exfoliator is perfect for me! It literally peels off all the dead skin without irritating me. It's super gentle, doesn't hurt, and leaves my skin feeling smooth. HIGHLY recommend!

I wish I could give this a 10!! I used about a dime amount and massaged it into my face for about 30 seconds.. I washed it off with a wash cloth and OMG!! My face has never felt softer and so smooth!

If I could give it zero, I would. Completely ineffective. The only thing that changes texture was the product as I washed it down the drain.

I received this product as a gift this past Christmas. I was hesitating to use it since the direction state to use on dry skin. Well let me tell you it felt weird and unusual but I had to complete the process and let me tell you, it left my skin as soft as a babies butt, literally. I wish I would have discovered this product sooner.

This gentle exfoliation gel seems to get some dead skin off but I really had to scrub my face to get the dead skin out of my little facial hairs on my cheeks. After scrubbing pretty rigorously, I decided to just leave the rest of the dead skin on in order to not irritate my skin further. I really wouldn't recommend this product. A good alternative I LOVE is called Aqua Reveal (comes in a blue bottle) but not found at Ulta

I had so much flakey skin that was balling off. some may be product, but definitely skin because my face was soo smooth after!!! its undeniable that it works and my moisturizer soaked in beautifully afterwards and makeup applied smoothly. some good stuff!! reasonable price for how much is in bottle.( ive been using a different brand and was more expensive, very stinky. this is much better and effective!)

This is the best exfoliating product for sensitive older skin. The skin looks brighter and smoother. It is effective and non irritating. Also, it can be used several times a week if needed.

I have bought this multiple times because I love how gentle and effective it is with removing dry and dull dead skin cells. I have dry skin and my skins looks so revived and smooth after using the peel gel. I even got my boyfriend to buy one because he liked it so much and is picky with his skins products because his skin is so sensitive and gets irritated easily. Overall great product and will definitely continue to buy!

although I was very skeptical about this product, I must say I'm very impressed after only one use! I don't think the little balled up stuff is dead skin, I think that's a little misleading, but my skin felt so smooth and amazing after! Exposed a few blackheads that were easy to extract after use, and I'm excited to see if it will help with the texture and bumps wearing a mask daily causes! I did test on the back of my hand and it didn't ball up as much, and then tried on a thick flakey patch on my arm I've been using Rx ointments on and it balled up a lot more, so I'm not sure what that means lol.. my face is combo and randomly sensitive, and this did make my face very red for a couple hours, but felt great after moisturizer!

I've been using this product for about 3 months now. It's not something I use daily, just every now in again when I feel that I need a little extra exfoliation.
The exfoliation is really gentle. It makes your skin very soft after using it.
I see a lot of complaints of the little exfoliants getting stuck in the peach fuzz on your face. In my experience this only happens when you use too much of the product. You do not need to use more than one pump of this product.

After getting this from Sephora twice, I decided to come online to order this and see what other stuff I've been missing. While the process is a little gross as it peels up gunk (and I find I have to wash my face after to get everything off) the effects on my skin are well worth the extra effort. Due to roseaca and acne medication my skin is dry and very textured, but using this three times a week makes my skin so much smoother and softer and I feel like I'm even getting fewer flares and irritations with regular use.

this product balling up can't actually be it exfoliating. Like it does nothing. At all. Also if you aren't someone who shaves your face, it's just going to get stuck in what little peach fuzz you have and suck to try to remove.

I have fibromyalgia and my skin often burns and hurts, and I am very careful with what I put on it. I patch tested this on my wrist per usual and experienced no negative effects so I was happy to try using it on my face. Well I wish I had read the reviews here before I had pickedthis up because apparently the fact it leaves impossible to remove clumps on your face is a common reaction. I have tried 3 of my cleansers now and even scrubbed with 2 kinds of face cloths and now still have bumps while my already flaring skin feels like I've been burned. This is appalling, that the company clearly knows this is an issue and does not even provide a warning about it.

This was recommended to me before I knew a lot about skincare. I tried on foundation and my skin looked horrible and patchy underneath. Using this product helped me a lot because 1. It is gentle and good for sensitive skin 2. COOL PRODUCT. When you use it you will actually see the dead skin that is coming off your face! I thought it was fake at first but you can actually tell which parts have more dead skin from the amount that comes off 3. You can use it on other parts of the body that may have stubborn dry patches (will take a few uses though
After using this product 2x weekly (you can use more as you please but this works for me) and implementing a good moisturizer my skin and makeup have looked great!
