I'm in my early 30's. This is the best product I have ever used, and I have tried so many products. I have brown spots on my face from my pregnancy, and this product really did fade them, and even out my complexion. I saw a difference in one week of using it. I read the comments of the women who gave bad reviews, and I might suggest they were using the wrong line for their skin type rather than it's a faulty product. It took me years to learn my skin type because I am combination skin which lead to sensitive skin. So many products either broke me out, or dried me out. Because I had combination skin that broke out easily from using the wrong product, I thought I had acne prone skin, and used products designed to dry out acne, and was really drying out and damaging my skin, but then when I tried to treat my dry complexion with moisturizers, I was over moisturizing, and creating break outs.It took going to a spa, and learning from an esthetician which products to use rather than a sales lady. It also took trial and error. So for potential buyers need to learn their actual skin type, and not skin problems. Using the wrong line will only worsen your problems. The only con I give this product is affordability. It is a consumable product which means it is a reoccurring cost. The price is too high for most of the population under 40.
I am mid 20s fair combination skin. I used this product during my morning shower as my main facial cleanser. I found that it dried out my skin to the point of giving it a tight, flaky appearance. Also, I use an eye makeup remover beforehand but a little mascara is always left. This Murad facewash does not remove those leftover bits of mascara. I used this facewash for as least six months (it lasts a long time) and feel it does not do anything it claims to do, including "neutralizing environmental aggressors" (what does that mean anyway?), and it certainly didn't moisturize. On a minor note, the cap was poorly designed. Water always gets in it and oftentimes too much product comes out when you squeeze it. This facewash performs so poorly I won't ever try another Murad facewash. Price is outrageous for how badly it dried out my face when it claims to moisturize.

I've been using this for four months now and my skin looks great ... I can't go without

Really smells fresh and clean. Leaves skin soft and smooth but not dry. Dark spots are getting lighter

I originally received a sample sized of this cleanser and fell in love. I use it in my morning routines and it is just a fresh, light, awakening scent to wake up with. A little goes a long way so this large bottle will last forever. My skin looks so bright and fresh after using it!

I have finally found the perfect daily cleanser for me. I love that it cleans all of my makeup off but does not over dry my face and I love what it is doing for my skin tone.

I use in the morning. Moisturizer and foundation go on so much nicer

I've been struggling with acne since my teenage years and this product has helped me sooo much. My acne is slowly but surely going away and I've been noticing that my acne scars have been diminishing as well. So happy I tried a sample! Now I must order the full bottle

I originally got this in an Ipsy bag. I use it in the morning. I have sensitive skin. It's dry/combination skin and it gets more oily in the summer.

I am in my early 50s and have been taking care of my skin since my late teenage years. I have tried many, many skincare products over the decades, and this Murad Essential-C cleanser is one of the best I've used. It cleans my makeup off very well and does not leave my skin dry.

This, and only this, is breaking me out. I'm 49, and I don't do this anymore, except when I react to a product, and every time I use this twice in a row, I start to get random pimples. Sadly, this goes in the trash. I'm too old for this.

I received this cleanser in an IPSY bag and wasn't so sure of it at first. However now that I have been using it daily for a while I am enjoying it. It is a very gentle cleanser so it feels good on my sensitive acne prone skin and using it daily my skin looks very healthy.

Have been using this for ~1 year or so. Very happy with the way it leaves my skin.

I love this cleanser. The smell is citrusy and refreshing. The exfoliating beads are sparse and tiny so I can use this twice a day without it being too harsh for my skin. My skin feels so clean and good after I wash I don't want to put anything else on it! The only issue for me is the cost. I think this is a good twice a day cleanser but it does not exactly work a miracle for $40. I will be on the look out for something similar for about half as expensive. Maybe Cerave? Although I doubt I will be able to find another which smells so good.

Great face wash for me!

This cleanser isn't anything special. I still get breakouts with it. I got it in a FFF box but most likely won't purchase it for myself but I did recommend to family/friends maybe they will like it.

I have been using this product for a long time because it is an effective cleanser but does not leave my skin feeling dry.

I use several different cleansers and during the sale picked this one up. It's ok. Cleans well. Smells nice. But nothing special. At least I haven't noticed anything different. I'm happy I got it on sale. Would not pay full price for this

I love this cleanser! It's great for my super dry skin, and in one that doesn't always take off my makeup (slap me)! It's just an expensive habit! Takes a little more than a "pea size", which is well worth the outcome! Highly recommended if you can afford it!

I use this am and pm. Just love how clean my face feels. This is my second tube.

I use this cleanser every day - it's a simple, basic cleanser and smells amazing, which is what I love about it

Used this product for a week and my face got progressively worse with breakouts. My face was fine before using this product. I wanted to use this cleanser as a means for a more gentle and moisturizing cleanse but I guess I must be sensitive to an ingredient in here that I wasn't aware of...perhaps the lactose?
It does smell very nice though. Too bad.

I know everyone's skin is different, but I am convinced this cleanser cleared my skin. I have been double cleansing since 2019 after watching Liah Yoo and Hyram, and I was using the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser as my water-based cleanser with great results up until February of this year. Maybe it was the microdermabrasion treatment, maybe it was getting cats, but all of the sudden I started breaking out in my t-zone worse than I had in years. After trying cleansers from SkinCeuticals, Youth to the People, and others, this cleanser takes the cake, hands down. Feels like a deep cleanse without over-drying my skin, even after using sometimes 2x day. My skin feels softer and looks brighter, and it has helped with my t-zone breakouts. If you've been wondering about this product, I'd say give it a try. Worth the $!

I use this as my everyday and 3 times a week I use the AHA exfoliate. Love Murad products I use to use the blue acne control and it totally made my face flawless. Since the acne is gone I use this now. The only problem is the cost. It's expensive but worth it if u have the extra moneys.
pearl from Allentown
leaves my skin super smooth.
does not dry my skin at all
also there's so much product I was shocked to see the size vs how much I paid for it. I got it during 21 days of beauty, what a steal!

This cleanser is okay. It does what it claims to, as far as I can tell. I bought it because it was 50% off and I love the Soap & Glory clarity face wash, which seemed really similar to it. Honestly, I prefer the Soap & Glory cleanser, and it's a quarter of the price for double the amount of product. I wear makeup (incl. light or medium coverage foundations) a few times a week, and using this Murad cleanser my skin didn't feel as clean, and I use micellar water before and after cleanser to get the last vestiges of my makeup off. I used it for several months, and my skin is more oily than when I used Soap & Glory. This works fine, but it's definitely not worth the price.
