Most Helpful Positive Review Great coverage on my oily skin From the first few reviews, I got the impression what made this so awful for others might make it work for me, and that's panned out pretty well. I wasn't looking for anything hydrating or dewy-- in fact, *everything* looks "dewy" and slides off my face, even Estee Lauder Doublewear.
On me, the coverage is medium to full, and fairly natural, although I *have* to apply with my fingers, a few inches at a time, or it gets cakey, patchy, and streaky. (There was much trial and error.) It doesn't oxidize much; I usually wear something along the lines of porcelain and neutral, and fair-light neutral has been a pretty good match. I experimented a lot with primers and setting powders; my smoothing, siliconey primers worked better than tacky, hydrating ones, whereas most powders worked fine. My ELF BeautyShield might have been the best setting powder. Blending a drop of Drunk Elephant's D-Bronzi into the foundation helped the appearance. Other makeup sat on top just fine, and the longevity was good (for me, six hours is good). It lasts as long as my Estee Lauder. When it starts separating and sliding around toward evening, I can tap it down with a blending sponge, but *cannot* add product-- it looks terrible.
Overall, I'm happy with it, although it's not at all what I would have expected, based on the product description.
Most Helpful Critical Review Returning Immediately This stuff was awful! The only reason I gave it two stars was because the fair shades weren't all pink. I applied it with a damp beauty blender, and each time it went on my face, it came right back off with the next pat with the sponge. I've never seen anything like it. I thought setting it with powder might help the unevenness, but it dries quick to a a matte finish which then looked cakey and dry on my face. It left dry patches all over, and I couldn't have added powder if I wanted to. I like Ulta products in general, but this was terrible.

This is an okay foundation. It has good coverage but this is a bit heavy. I read reviews saying it was cakey so I tried to put it on light. It seems to dry very fast which made it hard to put on too light. Overall though, it looked good and I was happy with the coverage.

Got this for my teen daughter and it is awful. It is patchy and looks cakey. It is not hydrating whatsoever. It actually looks dry and makes the skin look dry and scaly. They need to pull this product and reformulate. This beauty line is usually great but this one was a hard fail. Cheaper products work better than this does.

Does not blend out tried beauty blend brush and fingers its sticky and if you try to rub it with your fingers it pills up on your skin and it was suppose to be hydrating.

Terrible. If I hadn't waited so long I would try to get my money back. After Ulta discontinued their Demi-matte foundation, an ulta employee recommended this one. Probably the worst foundation I've ever used. It cakes on, even in the smallest layers, and literally flakes off. Applying it to my face was also a drag, it left streaks all over. I tried a sponge and a brush and both were equally terrible. Don't buy it!

I like the foundation, but because it is medium coverage, it looks cakey. It doesn't feel heavy like other medium coverage foundations, but it is more coverage than I like. With the early onset of wrinkles, I feel like this product can draw attention to my fine lines.

This was super bad.Never had a foundation like this before. Brought while on sale during 21 days of beauty. Returned a couple days later. Applied with a beauty sponge and it looked so bad I wouldn't even try it with a brush. The color was green but the biggest issue is the feeling on the skin and the fact that it wouldn't stick to my skin. The foundation kinda smeared as I tried to blend it out. It wouldn't stick to certain places and when I would go in to add more to cover those spots, it would remove the foundation around those spots.

Decided to give this foundation a try since it was on sale. I don't think I will purchase it again though. I wasn't super impressed with it. It's hard to blend in, it dries so fast, you barely have time to try to blend. The color of it wasn't bad at all. But it just does not go on well.

No matter how much I apply it's hard to blend. It's so sticky and oily. Even after setting it. It still felt so tacky. About an hour or so after applying.. it's separated SOO bad and was so oily and sticky I could barely touch my face and it'd take all the product off. Total disappointment. I can't believe how bad this is. I was looking for a lower cost foundation, especially now that half of it ends up on the inside of my mask.
This is NOT it. It would not blend. It just stayed splotchy on top of my skin. I used a damp beauty blender and it would just not apply like any other foundation. The blender pulled it right back off or it just stayed in a defined spot on my skin. I tried with a brush and it was equally as terrible. It's too bad cause the color is perfect on my skin.

The foundation is extremely clumpy and does not apply well. I could not get it to spread evenly on my face at all. I decided it was better to go without makeup for the night than to use this product.

I'm returning this after trying it for a couple days. It has awful coverage, no matter the amount you put on, it has a sticky feeling unless you put a powder layer overtop.

I was sad to see my Demi matte foundation retire, but am loving this new formula. It takes very little product for great coverage. Had to try to choose a color based on my old color due to online shipping, but thankfully it is perfect!
