It's just ok

By Kirstie

from Maryland

Comments about Laura Geller Easy Illuminating Stick:

The formula is a tad too greasy for my liking and stays that way; it doesn't dry down. I've tried it along side my most trusted foundations and concealers and it always slides around on top and even removes what is underneath.
I've only tried the shade gilded honey, but I don't think I'll be buying other colors in the line to see if maybe it was just the color. Gorgeous shade but too much of a hassle for me.

Chunky glitter and greasy

By Capretta

Pros

Cons

  • Glittery
  • Greasy

Best Uses

Comments about Laura Geller Easy Illuminating Stick:

This is a big disappointment for the price. The glow it gives it almost entirely chunky glitter. It feels like putting heavy grease on your face, and as other reviews have noted, does not dry down. This is not classic or elegant at all - it's dressed up kids makeup.

Comments about Laura Geller Easy Illuminating Stick:

This is a beautiful peachy/pink/gold highlighter, (NARS Orgasm color range but lighter). It practically disappears when blended... so, placement with brush has to be precise, then feathered out. Also, needs to be set with a translucent powder or it rubs right off... which defeats the purpose of cream vs. powder formula, imo. Would be much better in a waterproof formula to keep the dewy look and negate dulling it with powder. Disappointing, because the color is beautiful.

Comments about Laura Geller Easy Illuminating Stick:

The older (ahheemm) i get the more I realize that powder highlights just don't look that great. I wanted to find a cream highlight that would give a pop but not be blinding or drying.
Tried this one on a whim and I'm very happy with it. I rub it onto my ring finger and pat it on the highpoints of my cheekbones, tip of my nose, bridge of nose and cupids bow. It's zingy not blingy and doesn't show imperfections or make the skin look dry or crepey. I'd for sure recommend this.

Comments about Laura Geller Easy Illuminating Stick:

I was so excited when I swatched this in store with it's shiny pink hues and how it glided easily... Dissappointment when I actually went to do my makeup. Maybe it was too close to my skin tone?? It stays wet all day and didn't give me that shimmer I was looking for. It just looked like I was greasy. I used a powdered highlighter on top to see if it helped and then I was GLOWING. It works better for a highlight "primer" but even then, I wouldn't pay this much for something that doesn't do what it's intended purpose was. If you have very fair or darker tones this may be better, but I couldn't get over the feeling the stickiness on my face and hair strands sticking to it all day. Think of chapstick on your cheekbones...

There is about three inches worth of product in the stick. It should last you at least a couple months. Enjoy!

                    A:

The one by Laura Geller is a great choice because it is very pigmented, yet still subtle enough. It is appropriate for day time or evening, and is so versatile! I am a representative from Laura Geller so I can not speak to the IT stick, however I can honestly tell you that the Laura Geller stick is extremely popular and stunning.

                    A:

Foundation first, blush, and then highlight. I like to think of highlighting almost as the finishing touch. Make sure the blush is applied on the apples of the cheeks and blended up towards the hairline, and the highlighting stick should be applied above the blush, right above the cheekbones. Enjoy!

Definitely Ballerina! All three shades are universal and look beautiful on no matter what skin tone, however Ballerina has the most pigmentation and looks especially beautiful in tan skin. Enjoy!

                    A:

Do not apologize at all! You got it. This should be used as a highlighter, but it is in a creamy stick form as opposed to powder. I like to use both at the same time (the powder on top of the cream stick) for an extra pigmented look. Enjoy!
