Most Helpful Positive Review There's definitely a learning curve So I've been used to aerosol, super chemically dry shampoo. A few years ago my hair started falling out so I stopped using dry shampoo all together. I don't think that's what actually caused my hair to fallout but it definitely wasn't helping. After watching some videos and reading some articles, I decided to give an all natural version a try. This is the very first one I've tried, so I can't compare it to other natural dry shampoos. However, i do like this product and I do feel like it works. I typically section my hair, sprinkle a little, then when I'm done I shake my whole head and brush it. I also took the advice of other reviews and do this before I go to bed. Sometimes too much comes out and then my hair gets a really ashy color (I'm brunette) but if I'm good about just doing a little at a time and working it in, the result is wonderful. There's a learning curve and it's a lot more work than a typical dry shampoo, but I think it's worth it. I do, however, wish they would change the lid so I didn't accidentally dump so much on my head
Most Helpful Critical Review Poor Quality and Small Quantity This is literally brown tinted baby powder. It doesn't do anything more than talc or corn starch would and it leaves an off brown hue to my roots. Additionally, the product is so small almost travel sized that if you have long hair its gone in one use. It is valueless. Amika Perk up Dry shampoo is much better quality and the mini costs exactly the same.

I've been trying to work with this product for about a month. After reading comments people said there is a learning curb with this and to apply in small quantities. I have tried but it's just not a good product. Hair is still greasy and my dark brown hair looks grey at the roots. Wouldn't purchase again.
For dark hair...? 1

I thought this was a dry shampoo for dark hair.. Why is it not absorbing oil and why does it leave a white cast..? Would not buy again.

Im loving this dry shampoo more than the aerosol sprays. It blends into my hair much better
I would consider buying this again but the original 4

I love that this does not dry my hair out or cause breakage the way chemical dry shampoo does due to the alcohol content and other obviously bad chemicals.
This does take an excessive amount of time to blend, but that's expected since it's not full of chemicals.
I think it is pointless to by the dry shampoo for brunettes as the cocoa doesn't do much which I expected so not much disappointment there.
As another reviewer pointed out this product could be substituted for a "clean" baby powder which is around the same price range sometimes cheaper depending on the brand. Not sure if I will buy again, but def ideal for anyone experiencing breakage and dryness from their chemical dry shampoo (which is obviously bad, but convenient)
I won't be going back to chemical dry shampoo, the lack of breakage I have experienced while using this product is great. My hair is able to recover from the damage while using this product!
This is expensive baby powder 1

Disappointed...using baby powder will give the VERY similar results. I have medium brunette hair and this powder is still lighter, and visible at my roots. Will not purchase again or recommend.
A literal godsend for fine hair 5

Oh my god this thing is a lifesaver. I haven't been able to find a good dry shampoo despite trying quite a few until I decided to buy this one on a whim based on the reviews.. since I have extremely fine wavy hair it gets greasy and stringy at the roots and it actually gets rid of it compared to batiste dry shampoo which just made it worse! I love it!
White cast 2

Bought this for my hark brown/black hair. Left a white cast so bad you could see it from across the room. Wasn't for me and wouldn't recommend for dark hair.

I have been using dry shampoos for many many years and I can promise I've tried them all. I never found an aerosol brand that I was ever completely satisfied with or that was a complete game changer. Then I received a natural powder dry shampoo in an Ipsy bag and immediately fell in love. The only issue was when I looked it up to order a full size I found that the specific brand was outrageously priced. Then Clinique came out with their CliniqueFIT line and there it was. A powder dry shampoo that was reasonably sized and amazingly priced! Unfortunately I don't think many people were aware of the product because they decided to discontinue it after only about 1.5-2 years so when I found this I almost cried I was so excited!! Large quantity, amazing price and they offer regular as well as one for brunettes like myself and I know the struggle all too well of trying to get it to not look like you have grey roots. Of course I had to try it first to see if it actually absorbed the oil as well as the other 2 brands I had used and I fell in love immediately!!! I have both the regular as well as the one for brunettes because it's that good and sometimes I don't need to worry as much about making sure It's completely blended. But THIS. THIS dry shampoo is EVERYTHING 🙌🏼

a brunette growing her hair out, i do my best not to wash too often and to not apply too much heat. i was using batiste and would see clumps of hair loss in the shower. with acure my hair looks better and less stiff, and it's still super easy. the color also matches well!

Not for me. 1

After applying it, there is a VISIBLE gray cast and instead of removing oils it made my hair greasier. I've tried directly massaging the powder into my roots and I've also tried applying powder to the brush. Both ways didn't work out for me.
Less Oiliness, Not Enough Pigment 3

Applied it to my roots the night before. When I brushed my hair it was mostly blended in but in some areas it still looked a bit grey.
Works great! I love it! 5

I started using this product as an alternative to aerosol. It always seemed to crunch up my hair and didn't look right. I used this for a few days in a row, and it worked great! Easy to apply, not messy, couldn't tell I was issuing it. However— using it after 5 days in a row (not recommended but water was being fixed), it DID cake up a bit. Still work 5 stars though!!
Don't know what I'd do without this Dry Shampoo 5

I bought the original dry shampoo years ago and finally made it to the bottom of my bottle. As I was placing my reorder, I discovered the brunette/dark hair version and thought it'd be a better fit for my hair. Turns out, it is. This stuff is magic — instantly absorbs all signs of greasiness and freshens up your hair-do, which is great for those second-day looks.
It works, but you need to finesse it 4

Pro tip—apply this the night before and thoroughly brush it in. It shows up a bit gray on my brown hair if I try to use this day-of. If I let it sink it overnight, I wake up in the morning with non-greasy, style-able hair and no gray cast.
My all time favorite! 5

I've tried a lot of dry shampoos. My mom is a hairdresser so I've tried expensive brands and drug store brands. This is the best! My hair actually looks shiny and clean after I use it! I used to wash my hair every day, now I can go 2 days without a wash. There's no gunky feeling or strong smells. I love it!
Great ingredients 4

Love this but wish the powder was darker! Good ingredients is my #1 concern so I will keep buying
Healthier way to avoid washing my hair 5

I love this! The typical dry shampoo is terrible for humans and the environment, this product delivers great results without any harm. Plus, your hair smells like brownies when you have it on if you're sweating.
Love it!! Gives nice volume 5

Could be darker 4

I love how it keep my hair looking fresh for days and days without washing it. Unfortunately, it's not dark enough for dark hair and leaves my hair with a grayish tinge. Still love the product though.
Best dry shampoo ever! 5

My hair is very fine so I look greasy the day after I shower. This Lets me go three and sometimes 4 days between washing my hair. It's awesome, can't say enough about it! Buy it, don't question it!

A little sprinkle goes a long way. Blends in to darker hair easily.
Perfect for me! Works Beautifully! 5

I still have oily skin after all these years and I still like to wear bangs. So, just like in high school, I need a dry shampoo quick-fix now and then. I hate using a liquid chemical spray right above my eyes, so I was delighted to discover Acure Dry Shampoo. I have dark brunette hair and this powder doesn't leave any light residue. I used it this morning and my bangs looked shiny-clean all day. I've been experimenting with the best application method. It works well when lightly dusted onto my brush; or, depending on what area I'm covering, I gently shake a little powder over my hair, toward the roots, and then brush it out. I couldn't be happier! Quick, easy, effective and SAFE! I love this stuff!
Works great, but I wish the color was a little darker 4

This is an excellent dry shampoo with a beautiful fragrance. It works great! However, I was expecting the color to be a little more brown instead of white (so it would blend with my hair better). As it is, this mixture is only off-white. I wonder if it is possible to add a little more cocoa in order to make the formula blend better with dark hair?
