Most Helpful Positive Review My favorite! I'm fair skin, very oily, and prefer natural looking makeup. This is one of my favorite products for everyday wear. Been using this over 4 years. I used to have horrible breakouts and when I started using this, YES.. it DID make me break out a little more... That's what it does like all other acne medications. I didn't give it up because it gave the perfect coverage that I wanted, I hate heavy makeup and this is lightweight. So after using it continuously, it cleared my acne. For years it would just slide off of my face by midday or in the afternoon because I have oily skin and the humidity sucks in New Orleans, but as you get older, you learn tricks. The way it lasts ALL day with me is that I moisturize with Neutrogena's oil free moisturizer, wait 5 min, then prime with E.L.F's Hydrating Face Primer, wait another 5 min, and then apply the BB cream. I've found this works best for me and lasts most of the day. I always recommend this product along with my skincare routine for those who want light makeup. The picture I selected is using only the BB cream and some light blush (of course eyeliner and mascara). It applies evenly and you don't have to use a lot of product since it's meant for lightweight use. If you want to cover up red pimples, use some concealer and blend it out.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not For Darker Skin Tones I typically use their Dream Fresh BB cream and absolutely love it but I do have problems with acne so when I found out about this I had to get some.
Since I use shade medium/deep in Dream Fresh (and there were no testers available) I figured I'd grab that shade. Seemed like a no brained to me. Wrong! This medium/deep is closer to light/medium. I knew it was the wrong shade when it came out of the tube but tried it anyway just in case. I looked like a ghost!
I returned it and tried the deep. Still wrong! I am bi-racial so it appears as if I have a natural year round tan. This was still a bit too light even for my winter skin tone.
It is a pretty thick formula compared to the Dream Fresh. Very creamy instead of liquidity. So it would be great for oily skin or humid weather conditions. It also had a pleasantly clean scent. Application was a breeze, just dotted some around my face, blended with a stippling brush, then used a beauty sponge to push in around my nose and under my eyes. Didn't settle into fine lines.
I'm so bummed about this. I don't know who thought their shade of Deep was actually deep but unless you have fairer skin than J-Lo then you're going to have a bad time with this product. I'll still recommend it for my fair skin friends but no one else.

I like several other Maybelline products and decided to give this a chance. The deeper side of the shade range is a joke. I'm not that dark but deep is too light for me. There is no coverage at all plusI can feel this on my face and in my pores. Wouldn't recommend.

I am a olive tone male who struggles with acne and my face is sensitive to anything. I chose this product because it seem to be suitable for my skin. Remind you I do not wear makeup for any reasons. This product just give me a matte clear fresh face look without being oily and it fights the acne while on the skin. The key to using this product isn't to cover dark spot but to give your skin a even healthy glow tone. Many people are trying to use this as a foundation which is how problems occur. Fellas/Ladies I recommend covering all areas with very little bit of the product and it will work for you!

I got the 100 shade--it is around a MAC level 20. It's an extremely unflattering shade that's hard to describe. Between the color and the cruddy finish, this aged me 10 years. If you wanted REALLY sheer coverage this might be ok, but once you start building it at all, it will get cruddy and even crack in lines. I tried with multiple primers and sprays. There are way better products than this, probably even cheaper ones. Trying to save someone the trouble here...

i usually have little to no acne (at most 2 pimples) and was looking for something to slightly cover my imperfections such as past acne scars. this felt like it sat on top of my skin, way too greasy. the shade range is also HORRIBLE. i am super pale and even the lightest shade was wayyyyy too orange. i am extremely disappointed since this didn't break me out which i am very acne-prone. hard pass.

I just have reddish tones no harsh acne. I'll get a zit here or there. Instead of going out looking like a pale person with a cold, put this on really quick before going out. It adds pigment to your face and neck and helps your skin not break out!

I got the medium/deep. Was looking for a lightweight face coverage that's fast and easy to apply without much blending. Little goes a long way.
This product matched my skin perfectly and blends well with fingers. Once it's dry it looks even better.
If your looking for a quick and easy coverage, go with this if it matches your skin type. I did take a risk to see if it would match lucky it did. Will get again.

I've used this product for a few years now. It's light, but offers a dewy coverage. The salicylic acid keeps my skin glowing. Never clogs my pores. And I love that it has a built in SPF. Good choice of colors, easily mixable for custom blending as my skin tans.

This is great. I have been looking for a BB cream that doesn't break the bank. It gives light coverage and doesn't dry out my face. It also does a great job at helping clear my acne.

When I bought this at the beginning of the year, there was only one color which ended up being too orange for me but now I see there are more options. But I still won't use it again because the coverage wasn't great at all, it was crumbly, and it didn't help my sensitive skin to not breakout.

While the overall application wasn't bad I'm not a fan of the smell and the way it feels on my skin, it feels very thick and I can feel the layer sitting on my skin. It also is so not my match, I got the lightest option possible so if you are pale with pink undertone this is so not for you.

Honey of you want something light with a little color and still feel a little chic this it. I like how light it feels on the face and how I didn't get to oil due to the climate because of the summer heat. Put your setting powder on than this bb cream and than set your face with a setting spray, you are good to go. You will be ready to handle the heat

This has become my new daily must have! I've been using a product from L'Oréal, but it's gritty and hard to spread. The Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream goes on smooth and provides the perfect light coverage I need for work. In addition, it doesn't gather in my wrinkles or breakup and become blotchy throughout the day. Best of all, this product has really helped clear up my adult acne without drying out my skin. I will repurchase this over and over again. It just works for me!

I really like this product, even though I do not have acne prone skin. The finish is a natural skin finish and is definitely not drying even though it has salicylic acid in it. It left a very nice texture on my skin. I have yellow undertones and the tent worked fine, my daughter has very cool undertones and it worked fine on her as well, so the tent is versatile if you have medium or a lighter skin. I received this product complimentary for review purposes. It's a little more sheer than what I prefer. For me, if redness and blemishes are going to show through, I'd rather just skip makeup altogether to not have that makeup feeling on my face. I have tried tinted moisturizers that provided a little more coverage and loved them, but this one just didn't do it for me. I also noticed that for me it picked up on texture a lot so that's another reason why I tend not to reach for it. Overall it's a decent and cost effective option in those who may be looking for something with more sheer coverage.
