Find your perfect Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Foundation & Concealer.
Use the product's applicator to dab foundation directly onto skin. Starting at the center of the face, apply three swipes of foundation on each cheek. Using what is left on the wand, add two swipes on the forehead, one down the nose, and two on the chin. For best results, blend out in circular motions until the foundation is fully blended. For fuller coverage, apply additional swipes and blend until you've reached your desired level of coverage.

I really wanted to love this foundation...

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Matte Foundation:

I really wanted to love this foundation but it was not meant to be. This foundation looks beautiful when you first apply it. The coverage is wonderful! But then things go downhill from there. I have oily skin and this foundation actually clung to my dry spots like crazy. After about 2 hours it had broken up around my nose and lips and was just sitting on top of my skin. It also oxidizes which made the color look odd on my skin. I tried exfoliating before use. I tried different moisturizers and primers to no avail. This one is a thumbs down for me.

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Matte Foundation:

I waited forever for this and I was so excited to try it since I love Shape Tape concealer and Tarte in general, but I was so disappointed. I have oily skin and tend to look greasy quickly, especially in the heat and humidity. This "matte" foundation did nothing for that, even with a matte primer, setting powder, and matte setting spray. It was decent medium coverage, but would be hard to build to a fuller coverage without looking cakey. I did not have any issues finding the right shade, and it didn't oxidize on me, but I will be returning it because I want a true matte, full coverage foundation.

This works wonderfully paired with the foundation brush that came out with this same launch. It allows for full coverage blended seamlessly in seconds. I was nervous about the foundation after reading reviews, however, I could not have been more pleased. I have combination skin normally, and very dry skin in the winter months. Using with an oil primer works great to hide any dry patches. This is my current favorite foundation and I will definitely be purchasing again.

I am super disappointed in this product. For the price, I was expecting something amazing. The concealer is all the rage so I figured the foundation would be too. It did not last through the workday. It was breaking up around my nose and mouth. I am going to return it. Don't waste your money. I recently purchased a drugstore formula that is very similar but works way better.

          Can't find the right shade

          By Lawny

          from Hollywood, Los Angeles

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Matte Foundation:

I have very large pores which is most likely the reason why my skin is so oily. I've been wearing the matte one for the past 4 days now and I wear my makeup to work and I take it off in the afternoon and my skin hasn't been oily at all. Though the issue is I ant find he right color. I've gone through all the light shades and still either one is too pink or the other is too dark. FYI I'm very pale with a yellow undertone... sooooo yes I'm gonna give it a 3 star review. There should've been a wider variety of shades.

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Matte Foundation:

I had such high hopes for this foundation since Tarte is my favorite makeup brand ever and I love Shape Tape concealer, but this was TRAGIC. It dried so quickly so I couldn't even blend it in well. It ended up looking so splotchy and creased in my smile lines. It also didn't really hide my pores and started cracking everywhere in no time at all. It made me look like I was 80 years old or something. My skin has never looked THAT BAD. I typically have very oily skin so I thought this would be a good fit but no no no. I can't imagine what it would do to someone with less oily skin or even dry skin!

Oxidized horribly and emphasized lines and wrinkles that I didn't even know I have. I have combo/oily skin, ftr. I realize this is a matte formula, but it's entirely too drying. Sahara desert in a bottle. This foundation aged my face by ten years.

          Love

          from Philadelphia

Comments about Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Matte Foundation:

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews of this foundation. I have tried literally every full coverage foundation at Ulta and this is my favorite so far. I have a lot of redness and acne to cover up and this foundation covers and stays for 12 hours. I have used the shape tape concealer for years and love that as well. If you exfoliate, moisturize and prime this should apply wonderfully. I use a beauty blender. It does not oxidize on me at all. Perfect color match.

I used to use your Amazonian clay foundation and absolutely loved it but when I got colored matched I was told to use fair sand.. I have light skin and have very yellow under toned skin and "fair sand" oxidized on me and turned really dark/pink on me. I want to purchase the shape take matte foundation but I'm not sure what shade to purchase. Every time I get colored matched for any kind of foundation they always get it wrong. What shade do you suggest me purchasing that is lighter than fair sand and has yellow undertones?
