Most Helpful Positive Review Love this Dryer!!!
I love the diffuser it feels so natural like your hand holding your hair and fits around your scalp like it belongs there evenly dries and does it in 1/2 the time my old dryer did. Also its lightweight I love this dryer worth every penny My husband also loves it lol
Most Helpful Critical Review It's ok
The dryer part is nothing fancy except it has a pure cold function to reduce frizz. Other than that it is not worth the $100+ this package costs. The hand part is the best diffuser I've used to give me volume, but it still cause my hair to my frizzy like other ones. And it's hard to move around my hair since it's so long and bulky. I suggest buying a cheaper dryer you like with a thin nozzle and the deva curl attachment.

I purchased this dryer two years ago thinking it would be a nice investment. After barely using it a handful of times (I have super long hair and it just takes too long so I prefer to air dry) I noticed it started sparking behind the switches. I reached out to DevaCurl customer service and there's nothing they can do because the warranty is only 12 months. They didn't even apologize!
Like I said, I don't use this product much and I take great care of it. The cord and dryer itself still look brand new other than the wear of the labels on the switches which wore off immediately.
All in all this dryer is not worth the hype or the cost. If anything just buy the DevaFuser attachment for a better dryer.
Loved until it died

I really liked this dryer and diffuser right up until the dryer died after a few months. Just not worth the cost.
Loved it, until it died
Disappointed in FL from Florida
When it was working, I loved it. Died within 3 months. Part of me wants to get another, but way too expensive given all the issues. Would feel like throwing more $ away.
Loved the volume the diffuser helped give while it did work.
Ok...while it lasted

I had high hopes for the dryer/diffuser combo. Unfortunately, it didn't help my curls any more than other diffusers on the market. The drying power was good when I straightened my hair, but it still frizzed. The dryer is fine, nothing impressive but I kept anyway. Big mistake! It broke after 13 months and now I need a new one. I will definitely not be buying another one.

My old hair dryer finally died after 6 years so I bought this as a replacement. I love it. It's not too heavy but still feels like a good quality tool in your hand. I have wavy hair and do follow the curly girl method so the cool air setting on this dryer is absolutely awesome! I hated having to hold down the cool button with my finger on my old dryer. And the DevaFuser is hands down the best diffuser I've ever used for my hair. Love this dryer! Hope it lasts me at least another 6 years.
All for nothing.

When I finally got this product, it wouldn't even turn on. I read all the reviews that had issues with it dying and still somehow thought that maybe I wouldn't have any issues. It didn't even try to work. I plugged it in and even read allllll the instructions, the hair dyer doesn't even kind of work. Zero power.
Not worth the money

I loved it until it stopped working 7 months after purchase. Don't waste your money.
Broke within a year
Michelle from Boulder, CO
BROKE WITHIN A YEAR- I would highly advise against purchasing this blow dryer. It started making a "screeching" noise and is now unusable. Deva will not provide me with an exchange or return because I cannot get the receipt. I would have expected more from such an expensive blow dryer and from DevaCurl. Very disappointed with both the customer service and product.
great for curly styles

I have curly hair and absolutely love this blow-dryer, as well as ™Devacurl's unique Defuser it comes with.
Like a lot

This dryer works well for my curly hair. I think the price is a bit steep. I used Ulta dollars so that helped. That is why 4 stars. Although, it's a nice to not have to scrunch with my hands and I can dry my roots without disturbing the curls. The fingers of the dryer gets in there for you.

You would think that when you pay over $150 for a blow dryer, it would last more than 2 months! I also found it to be heavy to hold & the on/off/cool buttons are located in a place where my fingers kept changing the settings. Not good at all. So disappointed.
Good while it lasted

I had this dryer for 3 years and it worked well. I wouldn't say it dryer my very thick hair super fast but I'm used to that. 5 days ago it started to cut out if I turned it certain ways. The cord was always wrapped back up the way I bought it. And the problem was in the part that connected the cord to the dryer, so it took me an extra 20 minutes to dry my hair for the last few days. Today the dang thing popped and sparked and died! I'm glad I didn't burn my hair, or my house.

Plastic broke off after 2 uses. Felt cheap. Returned
Barely lasted a year and just blew up!

I rarely write reviews but wanted to let others know NOT to buy this dryer. I am extremely disappointed because I did like using it when it worked but for the price I expected it to last a lot longer than it did which was about a year. It literally sparked while I was drying and then made a very loud pop noise and started smoking...I had just started to dry my hair so it wasn't like it was over heated. For the last month, it has been working spotty. Would not buy again!

Cheap plastic. A piece broke right away and I returned it.
It works well!

I have curly hair that is permed. Winter is coming, so I don't like to let my hair air dry or sleep in wet hair. I only used it a few times so far, and I just started using deep treatment for my hair. So I need to use it longer to know if it would dry out my hair too much. It certainly doesn't mess up the curl nor cause frizz. I was able to add volume on the crown of my head with it as well. Even though it's bulky, it is still easy to use due to the defuser has a hand shape design. I wish it comes with a velvet bag and a foldable handle for traveling.
Dryer stopped working within a year
Jean from Greendale, WI
I loved this dryer, but it shorted out six months after I bought it. Ulta said it was DevaCurl's problem; DevaCurl said it was Ulta's problem. And I ended up with an expensive dryer that doesn't work.
Cosmo from Cincinnati, Ohio
I especially love the diffuser because you can slide it onto your scalp.
If you have curly hair this is the dryer you need!
Cam from Connecticut
I have super curly hair and don't always have time to air dry, so diffusing my hair is almost always a must. I recently purchased this dryer and IM IN LOVE! There's 3 temperature settings and 3 different setting for air flow, making heat damage and frizz less likely to occur or very little frizz to appear throughout your hair. I feel that this dryer dries my hair quicker than any other blow dryer that I've used! I love it so much and highly recommend this for curly girls!
Doesn't dry hair fast
Vivi from NJ
I loved this hair dryer at first but after a year of use (and I only used it maybe 3 times a month) it does not dry well.

Wasn't sure about the hand shaped diffuser but it works perfectly it gets the hair behind the ears and the scalp hair that normally looks limp. Lifts my curls perfectly
Jeannie from Jeffersonville, Indiana
If you have natural curly hair this will be your new best friend. It makes my curls more defined and I absolutely love it.
Just love it

I have been waiting for the right time to buy this and with the 20% off coupon I got a great deal and a great product. I am a curly girl and have been dying to use this. It is all I hoped it would be.
Not what I expected.
Tootskie from New York
This product intrigued me as I have been using a diffuser for years. I finally splurged and bought the set but returned it a few days later. I think maybe this might work well with long hair, but my hair is not quite shoulder length and very curly. When I slid the diffuser in and next to my scalp as directed I felt it was very hot but it also seemed to almost straighten that part of my hair. With that done there was only a few inches left of curls and that's definitely not the look I was expecting. It did seem nice as far as just placing it at the ends of my curls and scrunching them up against my head to dry. However, if I only did it that way it didn't seem to dry near my scalp.
For the price I could not keep this product when it wasn't meeting my needs.
It's also quite bulky and the first day I banged it off my forehead several times, although this was simply me trying to adjust from a "normal" diffuser.
Amy from Massachusetts
I really wanted to like this dryer. I've been doing the curly girl method for years now and I finally purchased this. It took FOREVER for my hair to dry and I didn't have much lift near the crown. I have 3a/3b hair. I will be returning and going back to a cheaper dryer that comes with the cone diffuser.
