Most Helpful Positive Review Better than the expensive stuff I use this with the face wash twice a day. I'm 26 and have combo oily skin that's very prone to breakouts. In the last year I've developed hormonal cystic acne around my jaw, chin, and neck. After five days my skin had no new break outs and all of my existing spots were almost gone. It fades my scars and gets rid of my redness. I swear my freckles are even lighter. After a few months I got bored and started trying new products that didn't hold a candle to these ones. Not even some very expensive brands could compare. As soon as I had enough with my skin being gross and waisting my money, I went back to my Cetaphil. It's been three weeks since then and my skin is amazing. Every once in awhile I'll notice that I'm a little too shiny, but after blotting im good to go for the rest of the day. Definitely worth a try.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not That Good I got this because I thought that this product has multiple benefits: oil control, sun protection, and moisturization. Unfortunately, it also came with an undesirable smell. It smelled like highly concentrated sunscreen. I hated the smell.
As for oil control, it was ok considering that I naturally produce heavy amounts of sebum, but next time I would go for a matte finish.
The only plus that I thought was great was the SPF of 30. As soon as I finish up this bottle, I would go looking for another moisturizer.

I have been using this product for 5+ years now per dermatologist recommendation. I use a topical prescribed acne lotion that dries my skin out, and this product works as an amazing counter to that, without causing me to break out. I've strayed from it before to try new moisturizers, but I always end up coming back. I love this product!
Beware if you have sensitive eyes 1
Scar from Midland
This product smells so horrible that it stings your eyes. I put it nowhere near my eyes and my eyes felt like I was chopping onions all day.
Oil Control without Clogging Pores 5
Bjen from Illinois
I have oily + acne prone skin and this moisturizer is one of the few that leave my skin hydrated without contributing to oil overproduction or drying my skin out. Be sure to keep away from eyes as it can cause irritation.

I bought it because I have the face wash but it made my eyes sting and it made me break out.
The smell is almost unbearable. 1

There are so many things I hate about this sunscreen such as how it manages to work it's way up to my eyes which causes immense pain, they start to water horribly and I can't relieve it until I wipe it off, or the texture, it goes on oily and gets even more oily through the day, but honestly the worst thing for me is the smell, it smell so bad, I despise having to wear it but I do since I don't want it to go to waste, but as soon as I finish I don't won't ever repurchase it.
Made me oilier 2
Danielle from Chicago
It does moisturize, but it's very thick and greasy feeling. I've been using it about 6 weeks to give it a fair try but I'm oilier than ever. Not going to repurchase.
It moisturizes I guess 3
Alex from CA
It does moisturize HOWEVER it doesn't control oil. It makes me oily and I feel like it's clogging my pores :/ not worth it
Works great for my oily skin except for mild stinging 4
Benhita from Tustin
Nice simple spf moisturizer! This moisturizer has no fragrance, has a light consistency that easily spreads when applied, feels lightweight, goes just about flawlessly under makeup, and helps keep oil under control. It does not break out my acne prone skin either. Only complaint is it stings the eyes a little.
Best SPF Moisturizer 5
Mia from California
Dark skin friendly, oily skin friendly. I love this moisturizer, this will be my go to from now on! Does not leave my fave looking like a grease ball and doesn't not cause me to breakout like other SPF's. Skin feels comfortable and moisturized afterwards. I love it!
Favorite spf for face 5
Product Junky from Atlanta
I LOVE this stuff. It absorbs quickly and does not leave my face shiny. It does not sting my eyes. Does well under makeup because it's not overly greasy. This is now my goto spf moisturizer.
Causes blisters 1
Penlady from Grand Forks, ND
It goes on like a sunscreen not a moisturizer. I swear it absolutely absorbed my oil to the point I have painfully dry skin. Under my lip got tiny blisters! After they went away that area was extremely drier than the rest of my now dry face. It's painful! HOW is this recommended by dermatologists? I use the face wash by them and the clay mask two-three times a week. I'm 38 so I need help with my embarrassing acne and oil out put but this product gives me a whole new problem, which is direct contrast to its intended purpose. It's not a moisturizer or sunscreen. I wouldn't recommend this to any skin type!
Uhhh no!! 2

As far as moisturizing, it does a good job. But it does not control oil at all. Will definitely be returning.

I originally left a two star review for this moisturizer after using it for about two weeks. After using it for a few months I have come to realize that it is actually pretty good. After washing my face my skin is Matte and a little bit tight, but as the day progresses my t- zone can get a little bit oily, especially on the forehead. I wouldn't say my skin is particularly oily, but it definitely does not stay dry the entire day. I am pretty much the definition of combination skin. For reference I use this with the Cetaphil daily cleanser.
This moisturizer has a thin almost watery texture. It's not enough to drip out of my hands when applying, but definitely moves more than say, a body lotion. When applying, there is a very noticeable white cast, but as you rub in the moisturizer more, it dissipates completely. When I first started using this I did not notice any difference when it came to oil, and I actually noticed my skin being even oilier than usual. After about 30 minutes I would look at my skin and still think I looked oily. I am guessing this was due to applying too little product. I started out by applying one, maybe one and a half pumps of product, but now I do 2 1/2. It is definitely a lot, but I apply it all over my face and down towards my neck a little bit. After about 10 minutes it all absorbs though. Back when I was using less product, it was hard to rub it in because it would dry so quickly, but now I know that's because I wasn't using enough. When applying, the moisturizer does not pill up or build up on the skin, it sinks in very well. Once dried my skin is left with a healthy sheen but not oiliness. It is great for applying underneath makeup because it leaves the skin soft and hydrated without feeling heavy or tacky. When it comes to sun protection, this works pretty well. I recently had a trip to a theme park where I forgot to put sunscreen on my shoulders and they got severely sunburnt, but the rest of my body and face tanned slightly. If you are like me and are looking to block out any tanning then I would recommend adding a secondary sunscreen on top. It is also worth noting that I sweat profusely on my face and this did indeed come off. On top of that, be careful when applying this near the eyes. If you rub your eyes and get it into your eyes it will burn.
That was my personal experience. If you use this injury immediate results are not what you expected, do you give it a little bit of time, your skin will get used to it. If you are on the earlier side that I would not recommend this, but if you have combination to dry skin then I definitely would.

I've used Cetaphil Daily facial moisturizer for years now and this oil control moisturizer corrects the one problem I felt I had with it!!

I tried to like it but after about a month it still made my skin appear more oily.
Purchase any sunscreen but this one 1
belladejes from Dallas, TX
I really tried to love this product since my dermatologist recommended it, but it's extremely greasy despite being labeled for oily skin? It also irritated my skin and I constantly got little whiteheads. I would only recommend this to someone with very dry skin that isn't prone to acne.
Great spf and oil control 5
P from TN
Keeps my oily skin moisturized and protected. My skin looks better after using for 3 months! if you allow it to dry properly before layering makeup (or just skip makeup altogether) you will be far less likely to end up with the problems mentioned in the negative reviews.
Works Great 5
Sarah from Sc
This definitely controls oil and helped clear up my cystic acne while also using the cerave acne foam wash and Tula acne gel. My face felt much dryer during the day but not overly dry. The sunscreen in it also goes on sheer and does not leave a white cast.
My favorite moisturizer ever! 5
Queeen from Atlanta
This moisturizer was recommended by my Dermotologist. After going through severe acne break outs, I had to use 2 different subscribed topical creams which left my skin with dry patches. I was using the Neutrogena moisturizer which dried out my skin a lot. This moisturizer really works wonders, it hydrates my skin without feeling heavy and absorbs Quickly. I no longer get oily, but that may be due to other factors. Recommend 100%
Great for my oily acne prone skin 5
Mona from Los Angeles
Recently changed my spf to this one due to my other spf made my skin red. I absolutely enjoy using this moisturizer! I have oily skin and did notice this didn't make me super oily while it did help out with oil control. I did notice that it's not extremely mattifying which I enjoy because I do like having a bit of moisture in my skin. I have pretty sensitive skin but noticed this doesn't cause me to breakout which is great because nearly any product causes me to do so! While it's also great under makeup I haven't had any problems with this product so far. It did feel like I had to do a leap of faith due to a lot of controversial reviews & lack of video reviews. However I am here to say, yes! Do try this product out! I've enjoyed this product for the past 3 weeks and could say it's a pretty good product. Overall very happy with this purchase.
Ance prone skin 5

I have very sensitive skin and skin that if you touch it a zit will come the next day. This is the only stuff that has helped clear my skin and keep it under control.
terrible for sensitive skin 1
40 characters maximum from united states
it burned so badly when i put it near my eye area. the directions didn't say to avoid the eyes, and i would think i would want spf on as much of my face as possible. it burned terribly when i got to my under-eye area. i tried leaving it on the rest of my face, and the result was not 'oil control' at all. maybe you have to use it habitually to get that benefit. it's also weird for a product that's branded as "pro" to have undisclosed fragrances.
Made my face more oily than with out it 1

The best non greasy spf lotion! 5
Lbug from Philadelphia
This is the only spf lotion for someone with oily and greasy skin typically made worse by soft lotion. I've been using this for a couple years and I love that my face is moisturized and protected but not greasy. Lasts a long time too.
