Most Helpful Positive Review First impression is good I've only used mine twice so far, but since there aren't any reviews I thought I'd write a first impression review at least. I received my Cura Luxe the night before I was to go to my hairdresser, so I took it with me. She's used an Elchim on me before and then started using the Dyson. I really didn't care for the Dyson as I thought it was too hot and didn't seem to do anything out of the ordinary for my hair. Her comment was that this dryer was hotter than the Dyson, but it didn't feel that way on my head. Normally I find myself moving my head away when it's too hot (and the Dyson was, as was the Elchim sometimes). I never felt it with the Cura Luxe and she had it all the way on 5. My hair was soft and not frizzy when she finished. It also didn't take very long, maybe 5 or so minutes (I have shoulder length hair). She said she liked it better than her Dyson (me too) and that she wanted one. I have since used it myself and had the same results. Provided it lasts a long time, I think it's a great dryer. The fact that it's got more bells and whistles worries me because that means there's more stuff to break, but I've got my fingers crossed. Also, for all the negative comments about the sensor and the dryer stopping because people move their hand, that function can be turned off.
Most Helpful Critical Review Beautiful, but sent it back Was so excited when i opened the dryer because it is SO pretty and the little card inside said something like "May this inspire you to be the best version of yourself" and that just made me happy! Unfortunately I was not impressed with the heat and speed of the dryer for the price. I work in a salon and it also did not fit in the holder on my salon station so I decided to return the dryer.

It's a great product. My hair feels and looks extremely healthy and I dry it everyday. I've only had it for a few weeks. As long as it's lasts a while, it will be worth the money.

I wanted to like this... it was fast drying but my hair has had non-stop static since I started using it and it looks very dry....not good

I've owned a T3 Featherweight for at least 20 years! Best dryer for a professional all things considered. The weight, dry time and undisputed shine are my top factors. After huge disappointment that they no longer make the featherweight, I purchased the Luxe. It's fantastic! I read the reviews and found a lot of people didn't like the auto shut off, as a pro- it's nice!
Unfortunate disappointment. 3

I am so disappointed. I've had a Cura and loved it, so I bought a new Cura Luxe. I've never had a static problem with my hair but since I started using the Luxe I have a horrible static problem. It's like the Ionair technology is working in reverse. It is extremely frustrating. I also don't care for the auto shutoff feature if I don't hold the dryer just right. Just disappointing.

Only things I would add would be a little longer cord and a loop to hang it from a hook when not in use.

I wish I found T3 products sooner! This hair dryer is a great addition to my other T3 products. It dries quickly, is easy to handle and leaves hair looking healthy.

Unfortunately the pause off and on was beyond annoying! I ended up sending it back.
Okay hair dryer 3

Wouldn't recommend for professionals. Gives a decent blow dry and is obviously very pretty but the filter in the back allows hair to get caught up in it causing breakage!!!! Total deal beaker. Also, a little on the noisier side and heavier side. As a hairstylist, these two things are pretty important. I had been wanting this dryer for over a year and now I'll be returning it. Sad.

I do not like the auto shut off feature for the cura luxe and was ready to return it after the first use. I'm so glad I discovered that I can disable that feature so now I'm happy with the dryer. I've owned many t3 products and have been happy with them, although I feel that they don't last as long as they should for the price they are.
Love it. 5

Wonderful Tool for Any Bathroom 5
Anna Grace from Arlington, VA
This dryer is wonderful. I questioned only having two speeds but that's all you'll need. I can rough dry me hair, well in less than 5 minutes(compared to the usual 15+). It is also quick when styling my hair, and the style will last. I have used the Dyson but prefer this for the ease of styling and drying at the same time.
better than i was expecting 4

let me start by saying that i have always been low maintenance when it comes to my waist-length wavy hair. i live in the Pacific Northwest, and i like to dry my hair, especially when it may be cold or wet outside. i had been using an old Remington that was more than ten years old, and needed a new dryer after it had started to smell and sound funny. i thought that all hair dryers were the same as they all have the same purpose. however, after my first use i knew i was wrong. cura luxe is not heavy, quiet and easy to clean thanks to its glossy finish. it doesnt come with a diffuser, so i tried a blowout the first time. my old dryer would make my hair frizz then, i'd either have to add product or completely straighten all of my hair with a flat iron. the cura luxe dried my hair quickly and wasn't frizzy when i was done. adding product to my hair and using my flat iron wasn't required, and my hair actually stayed that way for another couple of days. that's something i definitely couldn't accomplish with my last hair dryer. i like the cold-shot button because it's an on/off button, rather than having to hold it down the entire time i need cold air. the auto-off function can be turned off. i keep it on as it doesn't pose itself as a problem for me. the only bummer about this purchase is that the diffuser is sold separately (and not at Ulta). i got this dryer when it was on sale, so i don't have any complaints for the money that was spent. it has a good warranty so i hope it lasts.

Made my hair frizzy, attachments impossible to attach and remove. I returned it.
Better than Dyson 5
JJ from Florida
I bought this for my daughter who had been using my dyson since her dryer broke. She can keep the dyson. This dryer leaves my hair relatively unfrizzy (I live in Florida) and feeling very soft. It dries my hair nearly as quickly as the dyson does. Only con is that you can accidentally adjust the temperature while you are drying your hair.

Love the dryer. Love that it has 5 different heat settings and the volume boost.
Not a fan 2

It's pretty, and lightweight. But not powerful enough as other dryers I've used. Took longer to get hair dry. And the buttons are in a bad location. Too easy to press things by accident. My dryer was constantly shutting off by accident.
Total Game-Changer Ladies!! 5
Mon from NY
This was the first hairdryer that I have ever splurged on and I'm 25... I have to say ladies this is a game-changer. My hair is naturally curly and if you have curly hair you know the after frizz of blow-drying. I used to think it was just the brush that mattered but then I bought this hairdryer!!! This works absolute wonders I've never had a smoother blow out, now I can just touch up with a styling tool. I did pair this with the
Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Turbo Vent Combo Round Brush and I'm just saying... WOW. The airflow is not as powerful as I expected but it dries just as fast as a cheaper hairdryer with way less frizz.
Minimal frizz, fast but tricky to use 4
Bre from OKC
this hair dryer has a learning curve for sure. it has a sensor where it automatically shuts off. I am a cosmetologist and I can say this is a nice feature for myself if a client ever needs to talk to me, I need to answer a phone, etc. but it is odd to get used too. it does minimize frizz quite a bit, I myself have very frizzy hair and it also makes it incredibly soft. Hair dryer is also quieter than most but still a little loud on the highest setting. I bought this on sale and I dont regret it, however I wouldn't recommend for full price.
Hands down best hair dryer 5

Wish I would have bought this hair dryer years ago. It's so light weight and doesn't drain power when using
Not worth it 2
MM from Pennsylvania
I've heard great things about this hair dryer from a lot of people and figured I would try it because the heat stopped working on my last hair dryer that I loved. I've been using the T3 for about 7 months now and I'm highly disappointed with it. My hair is left frizzy and my ends are more damaged than ever before. I've always taken good care of my hair, but using this dryer has been really discouraging. I gave it a chance and unfortunately I waited to long to return it. It's not worth the money and even my hairdresser said she doesn't recommend it.
