Pros

  • Easy To Apply
  • Goes On Smoothly
  • Lightweight
  • Matte Finish

Cons

  • Doesn't Stay On

Best Uses

  • Full Coverage

Comments about Laura Geller Cover Lock Cream Foundation:

This product definitely gives full coverage however after a couple of hours of wearing you do need to reapply, if you have oily skin like me. But very easy to apply and I love how it blends well with my skin tone!

Comments about Laura Geller Cover Lock Cream Foundation:

I bought this foundation on sale at lauragellar.com but the website wouldn't allow me to leave a review. I bought the shade 'medium' which is a tad too dark, but with concealer and everything else it works out, and if I self tan it's no issue. The coverage of this foundation is fantastic, its build-able, and a little goes a very long way. This is quite pricey at full retail, but with how long it lasts, I wouldn't mind, and it'd probably be reserved for special occasion makeup.

Comments about Laura Geller Cover Lock Cream Foundation:

I use this Foundation as a part 1 of 2.
I apply very, very thinly, the smallest amount all over my face with a brush and then use her foundation powder in light....Brighten n balance. This foundation oxidizes during the day so I went to lightest shade for evening out skin and then adding color in with the powder. Looks great.

Comments about Laura Geller Cover Lock Cream Foundation:

I really wanted to love this product. the coverage is amazing , and you don't have to use a lot of product. wearing it to work by the end of the day my face was oily and it creases really easily. creased wear my laugh lines were. second day I used a little more powder and it wasnt as oily but still had a problem with it creasing. I'm going to stick with my peach perfect foundation. this foundation might be perfect for you I've you have overally dry skin .

Comments about Laura Geller Cover Lock Cream Foundation:

This foundation is amazing. I was born with a blue nevus mole on one side of my little nose between the epidermis and cartilage. It has become increasingly prominent since I was 18 (now 68). I looks like a jagged edged, half-dollar sized dark blue tattoo. This foundation provides the very best coverage I have ever found. Topping it with a matching color DermaBlend powder foundation makes it so much less visible! Love Laura Geller products. They do exactly what they say they will.

Horrible. So splotchy. Color was perfect for my skin tone. Looked really bad after about of wear. I was embarrassed. Should not have to touch up after such a short period. Did not blend well. Looked like it sat on top of the skin. I compareit to IT cosmetics spf 50 foundation. Same feel. Same coverage and same poor quality do not recommend.

                • Q:

Which Color Lock Creme Foudation matches closest to the discontinued Laura Mercier Smooth Creme Foundation shade "Sunny Beige."
I used this for years and after discontinuation I've spent a small fortune in middle to high end cream foundations that claim full coverage but are not always. Also I can't seem to match the shade Sunny Beige which was perfect for me. No red tones , had yellow tones which is what I need.

What type of brush are you using? I recommend applying cover lock with a stippling brush. These brushes are so light and fluffy and do an amazing job at buffing the foundation into your skin without making it look streaky or dotted. It's a full coverage foundation, so remember that a very little bit goes a long way. Apply in light layers for the most natural look!
